- Supernaut performing "I Like It Both Ways" on Bandstand 1976. This song is awesome hard glam/punk rock with kickarse guitar riffs and was their biggest hit that made them famous!
Just makes me realize how spoilt we were for great rock bands in the 70's.
I envied my older cousins being teens in this era. Damn being born in 1980
@@jennysmith9501 at least you can get all this online 🎸😊
I remember screaming this out with my friends in the school playground back then with no idea what it meant :))))
Same Same Calamityj
just proves that in the 70,s we had the best rock groups in the world by far
Awww what a golden oldie, this gorgepus song will never leave me. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I Remember watching this on A Pye B&W TV. I was 8yo.
One of those 1970's songs you can never get outta you head.
I saw these guys in a pub in Melbourne…..,,stood right next to them….
Saw them at a high school social at the Maylands town hall in late 1975. Like most pub bands of the era they had a good repertoire and did a very good cover of Smoke On The Water .
This rocks nicely. Well played lads.
Great stuff! Wish I’d seen this in ‘76.
Way before their time!! Love 'em
These guys still look/sound great. Love em
My faves!!❤
IS that the original BASS PLAYER
IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE RANDALL !!!
June Tour Dates #supernaut
16TH JUNE-THE BASEMENT- SYDNEY
17TH JUNE-THE BRIDGE HOTEL-ROZELLE
18TH JUNE-DING DONG LOUNGE-MELBOURNE
The singer reminds me of Geddy Lee of Rush when he hits those high notes.
Tony Cohen who produced this song has died on August 1 at the age of 60.
I didn't know that. What legacy, legend!
Love it!!
Still a great Rock riff almost 50 years on. As a 12 year old I was startled by the lyrics at the time though. As a 100 percent hetro male, I reckon a opportunity was lost for Part 2 for the song where Jenny liked it both ways.
They were getting airplay in Brisbane? I dont think so. The State censor took on look at this and that was the end of.
HEY WHERE IS MR RANDAL?? DA BEST BASS PLAYER LOL IS THAT RANDALL UNDER THE HAT!!!!!
My friend likes it all ways
I didn’t care about the lyrics or meaning…I just like the jam….
What a risqué title for a pop record in 1976!
You weren't around in 76 were you?
The '70s was a wild time! I was born in '74, but remember all the hippies running around.
Hey WHO IS DA BASS GUY???
@bondsee One word for that comment "DUMB"!!!!One word for this post "ROCKIN'"!
Thanks for the great post.Could swear this was sourced from Countdown rather than Bandstand? Not realy completely certain on this one?Any thoughts here?
Bandstand.
Are still as good as ever very good song the whole band are hot but the singer is hotter as they usually are
fuck me I didn't know Mick Ronson played lead for this band
Great jab, but Chris Burnham was the man. 1973 Red Cherry Custom LP, he got some decent tone out of it. Probably looked up to Bolan and Ronson, too, of course -- as most did back then.
Looking for a guy we met on nullabour back in 1976..on our way to melb... He was a friend of this band.. Frank ??? Think he had a dog with him...
He's sitting right here
@topofthepopsguy definitely not countdown as they rarely showed a clip without the countdown logo on it somewhere, and pretty sure Darryl Summers never hosted the show.
It's Bandstand, hosted by Daryl Somers.
Before they got the record deal they were support act to my brother's band Argus a fair bit. They got the record deal and Argus got shafted by Molly Meldrum because when he hit on one of the band members, that band member threatened to take Molly outside and give him a hiding. Argus record deal was going to be on the Wizard label, I remember my brother got a few free records to have a listen to prior to signing. They were interviewed on The Issy Dye show and on Nightmoves by Lee Simon. The deal was shot when Meldrum put the kibosh on it. Meldrum was a vindictive son of a bitch that ruined a lot of upcoming muso's careers.
currently residing in the where are they now file's!!
Toured not so long ago. More shows coming up.
I vaguely remember this song as a 6 year old. Singer reminds me a little of Roger Daltrey. Apparently this band also had another song called Lick My Lollipop ...
No but close it was "lick my lolly"
Lolly
HEY HEY IT'S SATURDAY Hosted By DARYL SOMMERS.
Bandstand, not Hey Hey
In the 70's Ch9 had Bandstand and was hosted by Darryl Sommers with Hey Hey still a morning cartoon show.
Super song
Never heard of this song until today. Controversial. Like Come said the boy by Mondo Rock
Where are they now
Flemington racecourse lol😂
Anyone got a time machine?
Only in my memories but I guess you had to be there 😁
It was Hey Hey it's Saturday be for it was moved to the evening slot
No it was Bandstand
READ THE TITLE!!!!!!!!!! 🙄BAND STAND 76 !!!!!! WITH BASS PLAYER FILL IN !!!!!
@bondsee Seriously.Get a life. Not to be rude at all in any way here. But,there is no need to regress mentally to the state of a troubled 3rd grader here in these extremely un-intelligent comments.I did not mean to be rude in any way here.If you do not like it,do not watch it,simple as that, and leave the rude childish comments where they belong,to yourself.
kiss still likes it allways.....rocket ride kiss works 4 me
WRONG CHANNEL KISS IS IN LA!!!!
Bisexual classic. Basically an homage to David Bowie.
Bogans !
Glam rockers were anything but bogans
BOGANS???? LOL YOU NEVER KNEW THE BASS PLAYER!!!!! FAR FROM BOGAN!!!!!!
@@alisonholland7531YEAH😂 S H E IS SOOOOOO JEALOUS 😂
Why why why arent bands like this still around ?
This is the best.
TheJagzy political correctness.
@@adammarjanovic Nah, shows like this aren't around anymore. There'll still be bands doing this kind of thing but you have to go looking for them.
It's because we're in our 60's and 70's and youngsters think our heads are so far up our bums we can't see daylight - you've no idea just how wild we were back then, political correctness wasn't even a "thing" back then, we were young, we were free, we thumbed our noses at society then we got older and forgot who we were, and I guess our music must have died with us
@@alisonholland7531 tf are you on about
40 yrs later they still look great
