I had to select the ALL option to find the options for refraction index and refraction weight, but I still see faint shadow of the sphere. Is there a way to turn shadows off for the obect?
So i followed step by step, but it seems the 'C.A.I.N.P' script isn't doing anything since when I select my sphere, there is no other option apart from 'emission color' under the emission tab for the shader. Any ideas what the issue might be? EDIT: So I had to manually drag the shader onto the sphere, double click refused to work... Thanks for the video!
This is pretty good, one of the things I like Ghost Lights for is in a reflective surface like a mirror; this doesn't help with that. I still see a black sphere in the mirror. however if I point a camera at the sphere it appears almost invisible. Now, this is in the iray viewport, I'll double check if there is a difference in a render. But, do you have any ideas for that?
@@GameDeveloperTraining Many thanks. I had searched in all my script folders, but couldn't find it even the Utilities one, as soon as I looked again I found it, many thanks.
So fast and straightforward! Thank you!!
Thanks for this. I've been using all sorts of Macguyver Ghetto ghost lights until I saw this.

You bet!
Thanks, Matt!

You rock socks man.

Yeah....I am getting a barely visible sphere of smoky edges. :)
It sounds like you could experiment with the refraction properties and tweak to get the results you want.
I cannot find the create advanced iray node properties script in my scripts folder. You don,t show it in the video.
I didn't think I'd need to. It should be under Utilities, or you can find it using the search function
