Superb tutorial. It's like a magician telling his tricks. I've been following the (in)famous channels that deal with DAZ and had to go through boring hell just to get to techniques, only to comprehend there was none. You save us much of the hustle, time and money :) Much success!
Hello, I perform the whole process, but when the simulation starts. is interrupted and a message comes out of ¨Simulation error`` Error preparing objects to simulate .. How do you solve it? tnks
My sheet is going straight through cub, I tried it with a sphere and it did the same, but when it has finished I lift it up as a plane but its not the same shape, any ideas?
I am trying to do something like this with an article of dForce clothing, but it won't fall when I simulate it. Any idea what I am doing wrong? I wanted it to look as thought it had been casually dropped in the floor, but it just hangs there...
Hello thank you very much. But why when I give simulated do other objects move? I have a character in a bed lying down and when I give him simulated he stands up and then lying down. and while the blanket falls, he falls to his feet ... I have no idea what's going on. I don't have any animation either. :(
Thank you very much for this tutorial, at first as you mentioned earlier it just fell like a piece of paper lol, but i got to work the second time, new sub. :)
I followed your instructions and then added a character in a sleeping pose onto the bed. When I hit simulate the character stands up and then moves with the sheet to her pose but the sheet becomes very distorted and doesn't end up on top of her. What am I doing wrong?
if the character has a dForce wearable, simulate them first, then freeze them in the simulation. Next turn off "Simulate from memorized pose" in the simulation settings and simulate the sheet on its own.
Thats what we call "poke through" it's caused by the mesh vertices falling either side of a corner. To remedy it you could apply a smoothing modifier, or increase the number of divisions when creating the plane
Hi, i more and more come to like DS by the information your tutorials provide. I got a couple questions on this one, if you don't mind. You started the cloth simulation and then playing with size and hight of the sheet. The simulation runs obviously from that point on. Did DS have "forgotten" the changes you made to the sheet? To explaine my question, in Poser, the programm i use, the simulation is basically an animation, that means, every change on the objects will be noticed and has an impact on the simulation. This seems not the case for DS, right? The other question i have has to do with the sphere you introduced later to the simulation. Did the sphere became automatically an Collision Object, or is there a stetting, to make it become such? Thank you so far for your great serie of DS Tutorials, i am eager to see what comes next.
Hi there. So D-Force works with all meshes being collision objects unless otherwise stated, so any object that you "simulate" will act against every other object in the scene. Once you have simulated an object you can choose to freeze it so that the simulation no longer affects it, allowing you to simulate one object at a time if you so wish. If you do not freeze an object prior to starting simulation it will automatically reset the object to its "pre-simulation" state.
dude you have a ball in your bed)) why is there a ball in the bed? what is it doing there? do you want me to put the ball in my bed too?)) well of course, without the ball you can't revive the blanket)) oh my god) Judging by the likes, almost 500 people will now put the ball in bed. looks like a sect. Ball Sect! these people should have a secret handshake when they meet in the cemetery during the black coven)

Check the weight map for the item. There’s a video on that on this channel
@@GameDeveloperTraining Thank you, I have been trying to figure that out for days, will have to look again.

Any object with a dForce modifier will be simulated unless you explicitly tell them not to
@@GameDeveloperTraining It's weird because I put it on deactivated and it did the same to me ...
But thank you very much for the reply.

Great job!
Very useful and well explained! Thanks so much for sharing!
Glad it helped man.

for some reason I don't have that dforce modifier option from object section any suggestion?
Might be worth resetting your workspace style. the recent update did some strange things.
Will it export as an fbx draped?
Should do
Very informative ... please Make tutorials about how to make basic intirior prop / furniture only in daz like bed sofa pillow etc
I’ll see what I can do
@@GameDeveloperTraining thanks man looking forward to
Please create video about hair and manipulation with it. Thanks a lot.
Fantastic thanks for your videos!
My pleasure!
Why was the black bed base showing through the sheet and how would you fix that?

@@GameDeveloperTraining thank you!
This is really interesting.
I can only imagine the freedom this system offers in comparison to what i use in Poser.
@@MarcoKrieger Poser is a bygone.

Welcome!
Nice video!. Can u make a video of the best render setting for realistic "human" renders?. :)
Ill see what I can do :)
ERROR: Memory Object Allocation Failure (-4) I got this error!!!
cant help you there. Sounds like a Daz Customer support problem. Sorry
@@GameDeveloperTraining BTW ur tutorials are great!!! ✌
