Its because this game wasn't made as a quick cash grab.
Sure the game isn't realistic and has no licensing but on the pro side you get a more fun game with more creativity than games in a chokehold by greedy companies who just want money.
You can change the color of everything, look at the keys on screen, when you choose seat, it says base, color and then other things like stitching and the plastic part of seat, you can do the same thing on the steering wheels and other stuff too...

love the game put 50 hours in so far but the one thing id like to see changed is the pitch of the turbo at the top end

Hey @slaptrain you should put the frame rate up to your monitor refresh rate, you have it at 60 that makes you have some quality issues
I'm more surprised by the traffic variety rather than density. Not many games nowadays do this type of thing. You can see many different brands, types, like trucks, vans, suvs, hatches etc. Game feels alive because of it
right these 70$ racing games are garbage feels hella empty in the open world
If you have an AMD graphics card and you don't like it being less sharp with SMAA, then go into AMD Adrenaline and turn on Radeon Image Sharpening

as far as the shifter goes there are calibration tools from the manufacture where it tracks the position of the stick to better set gears to avoid clipping. however i too have already had mine calibrated yet the h patern support on carx hasnt been very good. same issue skipping and miss gearing altogether. ive not tried the h pattern since the supposed fix however.
Limit your fps to 60 in game and your shifting will be smoother I had the same issue initially till a friend told me

Smaa graphics removes ghost effect but the edge of the car become pixelated which looks bad
I'm using society's reshade filters for my graphics
Motion blur on/off is preference really, I like the speed feeling it gives.
I really hope they bring back Test Drive off road. It was great on PS1

When you do an online racing turn on the track controller with that your car won’t drift that much

Slap if you have that wierd shadow under the car in tdusc, try the anti aliasing there too and see if it helps

Slap, your rotors wont glow if youre sitting still lol. They need to rotate and put heat into them to glow, though i still dont think they do glow, but both times youve mentioned it, youve been doing a standing burnout which wouldnt cause glowing.
Check the settings its may be on Automatic gearbox. It happend to me earlier

I may not be slap but I have had both and I would definitely recommend thrustmaster over logitech

Turning it to smaa makes the game assets look too sharp and a bit jagged, i think taa is better but it's personal preference
Check your gearbox for the shifting problem. For some reason mine keeps changing itself back to automatic and when I drift and I can’t catch anything right due to the auto up shifting my
