Not boring. Ancient/old stuff has so much more creativity. That shop was awesome. I would have bought everything till my money ran out, then robbed everything else. 5000yr old pot for $50?? 99.999999% of mankind will never own anything that old.
Islamabad has lots of museums, you should visit Shakarparian, there are 3-4 museums. Natural History museum (gemstones, stuffed animals, etc.), Pakistan Monument museum, Arts and Craft village and Lok Virsa. Pakistan Monument is a must, there are couple of luxury royal vintage cars I think Rolls Royce and Mercedes from 1800's which you would definitely love.
Those antiques are so undervalued. I think the reason why you could see them there is because the oldest civilization known was in Taxila, not far from Islamabad.
Surya, it's now called Taxila. Yes, that's from the history when there only was subcontinent, neither India nor Pakistan. And that's where the world's first university (known) was. But now it's Taxila
