As a former resident, I can confirm that Charlotte is...nice. Bland and overpriced, but...nice. A perfect place to live for those who just want to work, consume, then die.
It’s not empty for NFL games. Usually about 70,000 average attendance for Carolina Panthers games, even though that team sucks right now. MLS/Soccer just isn’t that popular yet. It’s growing fast though. Every year league attendance and revenue goes up a lot. It’s almost caught up to Ligue 1 in revenue and average attendance

They should replace this stadium instead of the renovations they’re planning to do. But the Panthers cheaped out. The planned renovations look nice. But a new stadium similar to the Jaguars Stadium of the future or the Titans New Nissan stadium would have been way better. Only would have cost an extra Billion

They should really find some smaller stadiums for these MLS teams. Putting 10,000 people in a 70,000 seat stadium is bad optics.
