Loads of drama too! Yeah but also interesting to see: 2022 = Saudi Arabia 2-1 Argentina 2023 = Argentina 2-0 Indonesia 2024 = Indonesia 2-0 Saudi Arabia that's the beauty of football 🔥🔥🔥
@PropagandasaurusRex good enough to beat saudi lol the 2 goals scored against saudi was also by the indonesian guy. you can't sit there and discredit the progress of what would've been a less than mediocre team. indonesian football has been victim to corruption, power plays, and politics for a long time now. i feel like they deserve the credit after cleaning up their own system/org now.
As a fan of Thailand, im a bit peeved it might not be us to be the first southeast asians to make the mens wc, but indonesia not only making this round of qualifying, but having a real chance to make the world cup is incredible. Afaik they'd be comfortably the lowest ranked team to ever make a wc unless their results in qualifying take them above DPRK/South africa in 2010 (SA ranked about 95 and north korea were 105, indonesia are 130!!). I've been fully ready to accept that id never see a southeast asian team at the world cup (men's at least), and if it were to happen I was pretty sure it'd be us or vietnam to do it. Indonesia achieving it before anyone else in ASEAN (I know they technically did in 1938 but I mean a world cup with an actual proper structure, and also one where they're not competing as a dutch colony) would be pretty astonishing. Really hope they can take advantage of this group being in chaos and somehow get into the wc, especially after Thailand choked so hard in the previous stage (blowing a lead against china, who are straight up terrible, to not advance based on head-to-head record being a tiebreaker). We need south east asia at a world cup so bad so viva indonesia i'm tuning into every match they play from now on until they make it or it's over.
If indonesia did qualify at the world cup 2026. They might not be the lowest ranking ever to qualify. might sneak up to below 100. Currently their at 125. They still have 2 Home game which they can win. And 1 potential upsets againts australia, that game alone will make their rank climb higher

Yeah, I stay up so late to see this game as it was around 0.30Am at my home country, I'm very happy Australia can do that to Bahrain, thought we really hope Australia beat them, I just don't want to see bahrain win at this poin
Being half Australian and Indonesia is the most turn-table scenario for me Like, holy shit seeing Indonesia is catching up the ranks of the group while simultaniously Australia is holding on to dear life trying to survive in the 2nd place💀💀💀
This is easily the worst Australian team/generation for talent in over 50 years. The game was ruined at an administrative level around 20 years ago and we're now reaping the results of that.
Don't want to be a nerd, but if you look at Indonesia's current squad, saying that they are the punching bag of the group is outright wrong. They have players who are playing in top European leagues and are playing in the Europa League and Conference League, mind you.
Bcus they aren't using Liga 1 players😅. Try using local league players and you can witness a punching bag. I mean even Filipina can look very good if they can use second rate Spanish league players🤭 or Malaysia using many heritage players that play in EPL. Just look at jdt club. That club can easily beat current indo team if Malaysia naturalize all of it's players😅
@@Kawaga-uc4qq easily beat current indo team? Keep dreaming dude. Malaysia has already naturalized some JDT players yet they couldn't do anything in the Asian Cup (I know that they draw with Korea 3-3 but It was obvious that Korea just want to avoid Japan)
Before the qualifying match for the 3rd round of the World Cup started, many people said that Indonesia would be a toy for the strong teams in Group C. But instead, Indonesia was the one who made them play. this is very funny hahaha😂
Cuz that is what happened with previous ASEAN incursions to that stage of the qualifiers (Thailand in 2018 and Vietnam in 2022 both finished bottom of their groups)! Indonesia for 2026 be like: "Not so fast!" 🤣🤣🤣
It has come to my attention that some of our ASEAN neighbors are voicing discontent over Indonesia's rapid progress in football, particularly regarding recruitment of European players. Frankly, their criticisms hold no weight. While Indonesia is advancing steadily in the WC qualifiers and securing a commendable position in Group C, these detractors failed to even qualify. Rather than addressing their own shortcomings and seeking ways to improve, they choose to make excuses and downplay Indonesia's achievements. It's time they confront the reality of their own footballing struggles instead of attempting to undermine the success of others.
They are not exactly progressing. They lost to Japan, and except for one win, all their other matches ended in draws. Describing this as ‘progressing’ is not appropriate.

He's not just talking about the R3 qualification, he's referring to overall progression. Imagine this, when Coach Shin took over the national team, Indonesia was ranked 173 in the world. Now, they're ranked 127. He's absolutely right, this is rapid progress, a significant climb that rarely happens. Plus, let's not forget that Indonesia is the only team to start from R1 and still make it to R3. As for the loss to Japan, let’s be real, the current Japanese national team can dominate any Asian team. Losing to Japan is a calculated loss. Two of Indonesia's draws in this campaign were against Saudi Arabia and Australia, teams that regularly qualify for the World Cup. And let’s not overlook the AFC U-23 achievements. The Indonesian national team beat Korea and made it to the semi-finals, a huge milestone!

As an Indonesian, I am not too sure if we will go to the world cup. I just hope our football can provide a good show. Getting the spotlight from outsiders is enough for me. That photo is deceiving, the Indonesian player played the ball prior to contact with the Saudi player, the contact was minimal he did not kick the Saudi player in the head and also he did get a yellow card for it. The Saudis would have done better to adapt to the Indonesian tactics rather than chasing the referee around the pitch waving their imaginary yellow cards every time there was a foul, even their coach did it. It was an enjoyable game to watch though.
The different is, Indonesia will getting STRONGER (on paper) their strategy so far is to bring European player to declare for Indonesia, and if you look at the team, there are only 2 local starting the team, the rest are players from Eredivisi, MLS, Championship, Jupiler, Serie A so in the next few months, Indonesia will add more players to boost their squad while the other team can't do the same but it's also double edge swords, because it could shake the chemistry on the team, and also if the coach experiment went wrong and you should see the atmosphere, it's like the Asian's Brazil and fun fact, Indonesia is the only team left from FIRST ROUND qualifiers, they start from the very bottom playing against Brunei Darussalam, that how low their rank is
Indonesian is scouting every half-Indonesian abroad to be brought back to Indonesia. considering Dutch used to colonized Indonesia, there are a lot of half-indonesian in the Netherland

Indonesia has a lot of Dutch players of partial Indonesian descent that chose Indonesia because they wouldn't be good enough for The Netherlands.

Honestly this year has probably been the best year for us in terms of football which is something I rarely ever say of my home country
with caveat that we have huge overhaul of talent in national team. these team have barely any "local" players. they mostly naturalization players that come from mostly Netherlands. which kinda ironic because the last time that "indonesia" ever participate on world cup when we are under Netherlands. so yeah not surprise when the team is basically Netherlands 3rd/4th team. the local football itself is still mess. if we using the "local" players to qualify for wc. it almost impossible.

Its like sprinkling some salt onto a bunch of eels.

Group C is group of chaos. Indonesia is new team, still warming up. not yet start the engine.
Nah, man. They are already in some difficult situations. Luckily, so the others, except Japan.
they shouldve started marselino or witan as the number 10 since the first game, it worked againts Saudi
@@khoyrulhudabahrain and china will be their judgement if they are really worthy of the 4th round
Indo Udah overhead malah brot 🤣🤣
@@khoyrulhuda yeah we're so lucky that the others are in a difficult situation. But.. you can see that Indonesia still struggling to find the playstyle for this team, because we got a new player each month.
It's different if you compare it with another team where they already have known each other from 5 years ago, with almost similar playstyle in their own league.
that's why erick thohir will trying to find the formula for "the playstyle" from league competition. and also start to find dutch-indonesian players since they are young.
so that's why he said "warming up" and "not yet start the engine"
Socceroos fan here. One of the key points of bringing Australia into the AFC was to help bring the standard of football up in Asia. Also adds weight to how many slots are available to the AFC for world cups.
In regards to this qualification cycle, Iexpected Japan to be firmly top. I would have also expected Australia to have an extra victory but I suspect that KSA fans also would have for their national team.
Am I chewing undies. No, Australia's qualifications are nearly always exciting and I like that.
This is the World Cup, after all and there are 100 teams that coukd make the mix and be competitive in group stage.
Crikey, Australia been competitive at two Round of 16 and missed out by one goal v Ghana in 2010 from progressing from that group. Just one goal.
I don't want Australia to miss out by its good to see passionate nations like Indonesia rattle the cage.
Should Australia not automatically qualify and make it through a knock out and than an inter continental play off, it refines the team.
Sit back and enjoy.
Go 'Roos.
If any team in AFC can handle the playoff dance, it is Australia! 🤣🤣🤣
@mrconfusion87 ...makes for exciting viewing, too.
I stole this from a comment in another video talking about this Asian qualifiers:
The C in the group name stands for Chaos, Carnage, and Completely Crazy
Japan = Uchiha Madara
Australia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, China = The Five Kages
Aliance shinobi kali bro..
Except the five kages succumbed to Mugen Tsukuyomi and were made to fight against each other. 🤣🤣 lmao
3 national managers have been sacked in group c in this playoffs wtf happend😂
Australia & Saudi Arabia managers have been sacked. Who is the third one?
China
Japan:😎
Australia:😟
Indonesia:😏
Saudi arabia:🤬
Bahrain:😵💫
China:🫥
Japan: *listening to Hatsune Miku songs* Heh.
Australia: I don't wanna go for the playoffs again, mate! So scary!
Indonesia: That World Cup ticket is mine! No one shall have it!
Saudi Arabia: How could this happen?! I am supposed to be there!
Bahrain: Gotta cheat my way to the top soon....
China: Please President Winnie the Pooh, take me along with Genshin Impact, Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf, Honkai Star Rail, Boonie Bears and my friends to the World Cup, no more social credit point drops and concentration camps!
Group C, where "C" stands for "Chaotic."
And comedy for sure

Group C is hellish like no others, every team are struggling (except Japan) and being runner up still open to them, its mean interesting to watch🔥
Since the single goal Japan conceded in their draw with Australia was an OG, China are so far the only team in this group to have one of their players record a goal against Japan.
China put up a really good fight against Japan, surprise me colors
I am not the only one noticed that china goal proved china is capable to win all of their next match in leg 2. 😂
btw, Japan was missing 6 defenders due to injury, and a rookie defender making his first appearance made a mistake that led to a goal being conceded.
Japan used new players against China.
Hey.. I missesd this fact😅
Zealand: you'll never guess what's happening in group C I've not been showing you cause it's crazy
Also Zealand: Puts the group C table as the thumbnail
To our neighbor the Aussies, give us 3 points in Australia and we'll give you all lifetime free holiday visa in Bali plus unlimited Bintang beers.

No, i want arak bali thank you 😎
Australia, Saudi Arabia, China, Bahrain and Indonesia: ITS OUR TICKET!
Japan: (busy watching Japanese anime like Love Live, listening to Hatsune Miku songs, sipping green tea and ordering sushi, watching the chaos unfold with Anya Forger's smug face) Heh.

I love how Australia scored to Bahrain in the end of time 😂. Thank you Australia 🙌🏻
Shame on saudi. Not only they lose, they accuse Indonesia cheating, while in reality, saudi's players diving like every time the opportunity comes.
Its not first time Indonesia got cheated in qualifier against middle east team. Heck, they even robbed in afc u-23 (in exception against iraq).
did they think indonesia is cheating because its playing in indonesia? none of other countries think that match is unfair, and also many countries have been played in indonesia and they experience fair match, like japan. instead, saudi is the one who's mostly cheat if the match playing in their own home
@@ban_droidself projection
No .. Because Indonesian player Justin Hubner should have been sent off after 25 minutes of play .. Instead he was only booked .. this could have made it more difficult for Indonesia for the remaining 65 minutes ..
Nevertheless .. that does not justify how terrible the Saudis performance was during this match and the previous matches .. Indonesia won because they were definitely the better side ..
@@jafarlute6394 Hubner foot was touch the ball first lol and the Saudi player just push his head to Hubner foot, try to claim penalty
@@affanreactions9243
..
Touching the ball or not touching it .. This is not a normal position for a player's foot especially when you have an opponent near the ball ..
A player should NOT raise his foot to kick a ball at this height because this is considered ( dangerous play ) and deserves a red card ..
I've been watching football for decades .. Any impartial person would say that's a straight red card ..
Answer only one question with yes or no : If it was a Saudi player who did this to your Indonesian player .. would you say ( it's not a red card ) ? .. 😂😂😂
Group C is the most craziest grup ever😅
Japan will ensure Indonesia to qualify in their last game. By that time they already qualified and Indonesia is the only nation they consider as friends in this group.
I hope so 😂
Red and white flags!!
Off with the cope my guy it's bad for your health
Lmao nah
Group C is basically a huge rock-paper-scissor game, except for Japan who managed to bring katana into the game
They did mention that Group C is a group of death. Australia would be in trouble if they didn't get through in this round.

Australia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrai, China: Yonkou😅
Japan is the number one in our Group C, and let's face it, Australia is gonna go to world cup in this round. What I hope is we, Indonesia national team can qualify to go to Round 4 and came to World Cup this time with Indonesia as our national team name.
Lets be honest, the round 4 will be full of Middle east country. Indonesia should tried their best to go for 2nd unless they want another bahrain drama
Well im sure indonesian will be trying really hard to come at 2nd
@@Chrnx4333 true, hopefully Indonesia can qualify this round, but next round is fine too
@@roesztyking so true,
Australia has been quite poor in this qualifying it's been really frustrating.
you only have to look at the standard of players. its the worst its ever been since the 70's.
Tim Cahill era are the only best of Aussie football peak
I saw that group when I checked the qualifiers last week. This is definitely the most exciting World Cup qualifying group at the moment. As the table says, apart from Japan topping the group, any of the other teams can still come second. It is definitely interesting that bottom placed China is the only team of the second-runners with 2 wins, and its problems has been conceding too many losses. We will see how the second half of the qualifiers go.
Dude you should really talk about Paraguay. They're coming back to their best after 14 years of being one of the worst CONMEBOL nations. We came a long way since you talked about that win against Brazil (Were you just talked about Brazil really).
And Bolivia might be able to El Alto there way into the World Cup. CONMEBOL has been crazy too!
@@nickkepley9294
so far WCQ all over the world has been really fun to watch
@@nickkepley9294 I'd be painful and humilliating for all of CONMEBOL if they get to the 6th spot and just get obliterated in the play off because they didn't play in El Alto. That's why nobody here roots for them. Bolivia is easily the worst team without the home advantage.
Lots of drama, too. I remembered when indonesia went against bahrain and it went over the extra time. It was 90 + 6, but it stopped right after bahrain scored a goal in 99'. Hence why there was a meme not so long ago that going 90 + 6 = 99. And because of that, they refuse to play the away match. Because that match was in bahrain and the next one should be in indonesia. It doesn't help the fact that the referee that that time was arabs and you know, FIFA now is full of arabs. That's why people in indonesia call this thing rigged since they want their fellow arabs to win. Had it not for that match the indonesian team would won 2 matches and right behind 2nd place
Vietnam died for this
