My father was dying when this song came out every night after I helped him into bed I would go to my room put on my headphones listen to this song cry my heart out and and fall asleep to this album. This song will always be special to me, it got me through some dark days........

Before hearing this song, I was a bit on the fence about Coldplay. This song made me a fan. Classic joint.
They've released three dozen singles, difficult to list the best ones but I guess Viva La Vida, Paradise, A Sky Full of Stars, Speed of Sound, Adventure of a Lifetime, Hymn for the Weekend and Something Just Like This are at the top for me. Higher Power is their latest hit from this year.
All good. They should do Speed of Sound next, it’s a great song to play for newbies to Coldplay. Or Hymn for the Weekend to give them a taste of more recent stuff.

Saw them play this live….you feel like you’re in a different world honestly, almost floating. Also used this song in my wedding. It’s one of my top 3 songs.
This is truly music at it's highest quality quality. I would have loved to have been in the recording studio when this song was being laid down onto the tracks. It's so masterful. I just cannot say enough about it. It's true art that we're listening to!
Dudes aren't supposed to like these dudes, but their first 2 albums were very good. For this song in particular, more than the lyrics or the way that they are sung, etc. I really like the way that the bass is foreshadowing the melody at the end throughout the whole song. "Home is where I wanted to go....home". The bass plays that phrase at different times through the whole song. Coldplay does that in a lot of their songs where the musical and vocal melodies line up perfectly. It's what makes their music so appealing IMO.

Not true. Men have always liked Coldplay just like they like U2. They're not a boyband
They have so many great songs but this is one of my favs, Speed of Sound is another as good as Clocks though.

My best friend Liz and I used to listen to this song driving in the car coming back from the beach at night time putting our hands out the window letting our hands go up and down over the wind and it just went so well with this song. She committed suicide 2 months ago and I'm having a really hard time with it but every time I hear this song it brings me back to that moment.....such a special moment
Please give the band Thriving Ivory a listen. Their lyrics are beautiful and heartfelt and the singer has another very unique voice for a man. Such an underrated band.
The richness to his voice is whats so appealing to me. There are alot of British guys that gave that rich deep tone. Also, I like the box piano. It has a different sound than all the grands do.
See You Soon is my favorite Coldplay song. It is simply beautiful. Not a pop hit like Clocks was, but this one just hits you in the gut with how beautiful it is.
Viva la Vida is probably my favorite, but I love The Scientist too (also that video is great)
You will struggle to find a Coldplay track you don't like. Highly recommend Lydden David Hall's track Sexy Cinderella and Ian Brown track F.E.A.R too. Loving your work 💪
