He shows concern for DK. And when DK grabs the minis again, Mario says "No, not again !" Meanwhile in the remake, there's no elevator in either the scene before and after the fight and Mario doesn't really interact with DK. These same cutscenes are just Mario running after DK.

Everyone is happy we get to hear Charles as Mario again even if they didn’t use all the original voice lines. But I kinda miss Donkey Kong’s voice that was reused from Grant Kirkhope. “Yeah! Cool!” And his original angry roars and that primal screech when you finally defeat him in the robot. Sure those were stock sound effects, but they still made DK more threatening of a villain for this game.
20 years later after the original Game Boy Advance, Mario VS Donkey Kong would be remastered in HD on Switch and having Charles Martinet one last time now that Kevin Afghani is the new successor. Still playing the original Game Boy Advance version on Wii U Virtual Console and this is so much fun to play on TV. #BuyThemAll
The cutscenes in this remaster are definitely quite a large improvement than the ones in gba. The laughing scenes were quite jarring, even if nobody thinks about them at the time, which brought the quality down if you ask me. The one weakness I'd say tho is the osts aren't as memorable as the gba ver, felt like they didn't have the oomph the gba osts had.
