Is nobody going to talk about the fact that Donkey Kong is able to summon and throw magma balls and not feel pain or is somehow smart enough to PILOT A FUCKING MECH?!?!

This game was a staple of my childhood when the GBA version came out, and I miss subtle humourous things, like the three Toads stepping on DK's fingers when he's hanging on the ledge after the first fight, or Mario laughing aloud when DK's bag turns out empty before the first final battle, only to do the same before the second one until DK shows he still has 6 toys left, which makes him abruptly stop. And they cut off the legendary "COME BACK HERE, YOU BIG-A-MONKEY!", which I really don't appreciate.
However, the new levels and mechanics look super fun, so I will probably give it a try!
Guess Nintendo now doesn't feel like making their IPs act mean.
@@Dexuz It's not as if mocking DK a bit for his greed isn't justified, either. It made the game have a little bit more personality, and the ending was equally sweet regardless, with no hard feelings between the characters. I guess Nintendo really leaned into the safest of routes recently, which came at the cost of some personality.
