Thanks for the video...wife and I have reservations for next January. Have stopped in there a few times on motorcycle rides to munch on a Jalama burger.
January is an excellent time to visit, you may be lucky enough to get a site right on the sand. Thank you for watching and we appreciate you subscribing to our channel.
Looks like a beautiful campground and I love that you can camp so close to the beach. Do you know if there much in hiking in the area? Or is it more of a place to go to have a wonderful and relaxing weekend? Thanks!
Hi, we love this campground for the same reason. We love being so close to the water. Not many options for hiking. We took a walk along the main road bike path, but that’s all it really is. Thank you so much for supporting our channel, liking this video and subscribing. We appreciate it.
The algorithm brought me by, and I'm now subbing. I'm back in the RV game, and content like yours is helpful in adding to my list of places to visit. Am I overthinking the risk of getting stuck in the sand? I've watched enough Pismo clips of disasters. Looking forward to more of your content
Hello Josef, first off, thank you for watching and supporting our channel by subscribing. We truly appreciate it. The whole reason we created the channel is to provide a resource that wasn’t really there when I started RVing a few years back. So thank you for your feedback. Regarding the sand, don’t worry about it. I was able to easily maneuver in and out of the campsite. Sand isn’t very deep and hard pack in most areas. If for some reason something happens, just air down and you should be able to get out easily.
Jalama Beach used to be a first come first served park. Now it's just insane. It's almost always crowded. We stayed there last year for a couple of days and I think that will be our last time. Just too many people anymore.
You should try going in February. This video was filmed in February and it was almost empty. Felt like we had the entire park to ourselves. It was fantastic! Anyhow, thank you for liking and subscribing. We appreciate your support of our channel.
@@airstreamexpeditions1 February would be too cold for me! I'll always remember Jalama Beach for the first time I ever saw the Milky Way in person. It was a sight to behold! Also, the problem with the beach front spots are that people will walk through to get to the beach. One night, someone actually drove in early in the morning and just parked between another camper and us! We stopped camping on California coast line anymore. Just too many people now. We either head for the mountains or the desert, and even that is getting crowded. Nice Airstream BTW!
Hi, you were near me. I am in Santa Barbara. I am not to much into the beach/ costal camping but it looks so beautiful. If you go up to San Luis Obispo county there is a small lake with camping called Santa Margarita Lake. That is my go to place, only about 100 miles from me. If you haven’t been there you should check it out. Safe travels.
@@airstreamexpeditions1 There is 30 amp service in one loop of the campground about 10 sites, the rest is dry camping. It’s is hot in the summer but cool November through about May.
@@seanryan5311 cool thank you for the tip. we are always looking for new places to explore, especially close to home here in Southern California. If we end up making it out and making a video, I’ll make sure to give you a shout out for the idea!
Thanks for sharing, excellent video, beautiful and very informative channel! Have you ever thought about the possibility of creating/organizing a small group of travelers in RVs to explore all those beautiful places, specially Baja, one of my top bucket list locations, If you do, COUNT US IN! Cheers friend! 🍺
Hello, glad to see you back and thank you for supporting the channel. I’ve had many requests for a Baja caravan which I’m thinking of doing in 2025. We’re also in the beginning stages of developing a Baja California RV travel guide.
@@airstreamexpeditions1 That would be definitely awesome, primarily because one thing that holds me back a little is the notion of safety, “ safety and numbers” like they say! We do go out quite a bit also, but it would be nicer to share great spots and newly discovered places with friends of same interest! Take care bud
