Quick tip, i just use masking tape and run it from one hanger to the other, then poke a small hole in the tape with the tip of a nail where the nail would sit, then place the masking tape from the frame onto the wall and it will have the spots marked out for where the nails need to go. Sometimes I'll also use masking tape as a visual indicator on the wall to show where the frame should go so when placing the marked out bit of tape, i can place it relative to the guideline tape
Just a quick one what's the best way to use these pictures hanging kits when you're going into brick. Because on their own, the nails bend, so are you best to drill the hole, then use the nail.
Yeah they're a little tricky when you're going into brick, I would recommend using different type anchors when you're going into brick, Molly anchors would be your best bet and these would require you to pre-drill the brick before installing the anchors
This video was helpful. Thank you for that. I’m a single woman who just bought a lot of art to hang in my new apartment. I followed your instructions, and they made hanging my pictures super easy. Thank you. However, I found the wife comments quite unprofessional. I understand the comments were made in jest with no malicious intent. I am not the only single woman in the United States, and I doubt I’m the only one who watched your video. I simply ask that you consider your audience. You are speaking to more than just husbands with needy wives.
Oh come on. The comment wasn't unprofessional at all. My wife asked me to hang some stuff, but she is definitely not "needy" and could do it herself. In a relationship, women tend to decorate the home. Don't read so much into it.
If just putting the nail in by itself you can put it straight in the wall but if you are putting it on a hanger you will just follow the holes in the hanger and those are typically at a 45° angle
For light pictures like I hung in this video there is no need for a stud, when you are hanging heavy things like having mirrors and things like that you'll definitely want to make sure you are in a stud or using appropriate drywall anchors for the weight
I don’t know who needs to hear this but: PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP HANGING YOUR ARTWORK/PICTURES SO HIGH UP. The centre should be at eye level approximately 60” from the floor. *sighs*
Moving to my first home, and now that I don't have a landlord I plan on using actual nails to hang stuff. This has been very useful. Thank you.
Your so welcome!

Thanks a lot Allen, now my clients won't be calling me to hang pictures for them.... you owe me $ now

Lol
Did you hammer that nail all the way into the wall and if not, how much of the nail would be sticking out in order to hang a typical 9 x 12 picture?
Leave some sticking out, it all depends what the picture needs to catch on
1min in and I already wanna pay someone else

If you always look for something to be offended by, you’ll always find it. Cheer up! I’m a female and didn’t see anything wrong with his intro.
Ugh just stop. Has the man no right to crack a joke about *his wife* ?!
Great tips!

Does the nail go in at a 45° angle or or can I just go straight?

I don’t have anything to complain about because I’m not a woman. Thank you!
Being short makes this a real pain
Thank you
Should you use a stud finder or nah?
