Christine, I am so happy you rescued the beautiful cross stitch table cloth. Someone put hours of their heart and soul into stitching it and I am so happy that you are going to give it new life. 🥰 Bernadette
Hi Bernadette! Thank you for your lovely comment. I share your sentiment and completely agree - that cross-stitch tablecloth is a true labor of love, and I feel honored to be able to give it a new life. I'm excited to bring it back to life and share the process 💜
Your new jacket is so beautiful. I bet whoever made that afghan would be thrilled to see it. I love all your new fabrics and can't wait to see what you make ❤️
Thank you for your sweet comment! It's always special to repurpose and give new life to cherished pieces. I'm excited to create with the new fabrics, and I can't wait to share the upcoming projects with you. ❤️😊
I love haul videos! I watched a documentary about Chanel years ago when they spoke about making the jackets. Turns out the fringe was made by a cantankerous old woman who made fringe for many others as well. She made it from the fabric and would add other fibers on a specific ancient machine. I also know that there used to be a couple videos of people making the jackets so you may find something helpful. That pink scarf is gorgeous! I can hardly wait to see the finished garment. Always lovely to see you♥️
Thank you for sharing that interesting tidbit about Chanel jackets! I'll definitely look into those videos for inspiration. Excited for you to see the finished garment too! Your support means a lot. ♥️😊
I absolutely love your videos!! Your purchases will definitely end up becoming fabulous blouses, pjs etc etc!! You have to be one of the most talented and creative seamstresses around!! By the way, I adore the jacket you’re wearing!!!
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that. Your encouragement means a lot to me, and it truly motivates me to keep creating. I'm glad you liked the jacket - it's always fun to share both the process and the finished pieces with such a supportive audience like you. Stay tuned for more and I hope they continue to inspire your own creativity! ✨
I just found you on IG and here. You did some great bargains on the fabric. But I love your jacket. I’m living in Germany, sewist since about 40 years. I’m going to have a look at your patterns.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment. I can't wait to start creating with these beautiful fabrics, and I'm excited to share the makes with you soon! 💜
I love the jacket you made and your fabric haul is great. Looking forward to your new patterns. I need to get the Bleeker pattern and French Terry. I didn’t know you live in Spain.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you love the jacket and the fabric haul. The Bleeker pattern and French Terry sound like great choices! Yes, I'm currently based in Spain, it's a beautiful place to live! I'm delighted 💜
Love your creativity Christine!! I was proud of myself for buying a few largish scarves at the thrift store recently, and made them into 9x28” scarves. It is such a great size for a scarf to wrap around my neck and the ones I had were wearing out! Thought I had a foot that did the little rolled hem, but did not, darn it. However, it was really pretty easy to just roll and stitch a nice little hem myself. Made three scarves from each-one for me and a couple for friends! Repurposing is just so rewarding! Can’t wait to see what all you do with these! Best, LB
Hi LB! Thank you for your kind words! Your scarf repurposing sounds fantastic, and it's wonderful that you were able to create something beautiful for yourself and your friends! Best, Christine 🌟😊🧣
Beautiful delicious fabrics. You always seem to have such unique fabrics. I love them. Is the jacket you're wearing an open weave fabric? Or what is the fabric?
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you appreciate the fabrics I choose. It's a new pattern I'm working on called the Great Jones (releasing next week!) I made it from a blanket 💜

There’s a YT called Perfect Jacket and she does Chanel type jackets. Have you considered using the selvage for fringe?

Consider trying the selvedge fringe for edges of the jacket.
You will love them 💜💜💜
