So, quick add on for the end, West Point (W) minted quarters were only minted 2019 and 2020. If you see an obverse facing W minted quarter while quarter hunting, than you can determine the date with one easily noticeable detail. If it’s 2020, there is a small “V75” on the left side of the obverse (for the 75th anniversary of the victory in WW2). The 2019 doesn’t have this. I hope this helped to people seeing this. Also great short! P.S. There is, I’m pretty sure, a San Francisco (S) minted quarter for each year and for all types of National Park or state quarters.

My grandpa just gave my brother & I like 50 war nickels, 20 silver coins starting at 1840 & up from different countries & $50-$100 in wheat pennies. We’ve been taking care of his lawn for him now that he’s older & he’s been really hooking it up for us. His next gift is 2 bank bags full of 1964 & under quarters! Can’t wait for that one!

I have a very weird 1965 quarter...its not all silver but whats weird is that it was not stamped with enough pressure...the two metals are separated and you can clearly see and feel the two outside plates and the copper middle...looks like desalination or a strike error...is that worth anything?

I like these videos, but if you took the time to check everything that is suggested, you would spend weeks just on one denomination alone. I don't know where to start. For example.. I check a specific penny for one thing, and it doesn't have THAT correct/specific marking/defect, so I toss it aside, but it could have a different but relevant error to it for something else. Is there a coin guide for ones that have no extra value to cancel most of them out as just normal coins that are only at face value? I feel stupid asking this, but I honestly have no idea where to start.
I have a 1975 silver quarter as well as a 1956 silver dome in very great condition of anyone is interested, I know this is not the place for there but I honestly could care less about them as they were found at work
I found one in Philly last year at a gas station. They are getting insanely rare though! I have found a ton of war nickels though 40% silver & a few 90% mercury dimes. You’ll hear and see the different instantly with silver once it clanks into other clad regular coins. Good luck!
My local coin dealer said that they have recently had an huge influx of silver coins being sold to them. Apparently a lot of people are hurting right now. And selling off there collections.
and my father collected coins for almost 70 years and decided to sell it off before he passed away ...GUESS WHAT ? the coin dealer told him BEFORE he started to look at it - That these days very few are collecting coins and so ... they have very little value ! After reviewing his large collection - he told my father that he won't be HAPPY with the final price - BUT he would buy everything . My day got less than 10% of the listed value . He was also told IF he later decided that it wasn't a good price , that he could return to the store and buy it back for the same price .
Searxhing for expensive misprints/ special coins seems like playing the pocket change lottery to me lol I could prob search change jugs for a year and not find anything good I feel like there's just too many coins in the world lol I know it can be done but sheeeesh
Have you heard of the Efigy Mound quarters being silver like this? I know the S stamped ones are, but the D (Denver) stamped one is off, like when I have it in a stack I can tell it apart instantly because it's the only one that has a tiny clad strip and is mostly silver on the border, whereas the rest of the quarters are mostly clad strip with a sliver of silver visible. Just curious if you know more about that one?
