Honestly seems like a cookie cutter case.
She got mad at her boyfriend for something she had an issue with, Through that Anger she stabbed him due to maybe Schizophrenia, then felt remorseful afterwards because she realized she just stabbed her boyfriend, he's gonna die.
She's crying, but only because her lies weren't believable. If I heard that anyone in my family was Murdered...(again) I would think it's a Creul fucking joke and walk out. I wouldn't ask for a Hug, I wouldn't want no god damn sympathy I'd be pissed before I'd break the hell down.

@@rukitomikutochi8764 where tf you getting this schizophrenia shit from?? There's zero indication of schizophrenia with her, she doesn't feel any remorse for stabbing the guy, she is just upset that she could be getting in trouble for murder, I mean she's definitely a narcissist and the detectives are definitely shady, just in that little bit we saw of her speaking with them one can immediately tell she's full of it and was the aggressor, I have zero clue as to why they would've let her go, she reeks of obvious guilt, a complete and total failure of the justice system.

It's a shame not only men's issues and needs go ignored generally speaking, but a lot of "men's rights" groups will exploit this to radicalize men into certain political ideologies without really trying to help men.
One of my greatest disappointments was realizing men's rights organizations were more interested in fighting against women's rights than helping men.
Men can be victims too, this idea that men can't be vulnerable and abused is fucked up, but at the same time, a lot of men will look down on other men who are victims and will call then weak and emasculated, and will only pretend to sympathise with these men as long as that can give them an excuse to attack those "ugly feminists" , shit's fucked up.

I knew from the moment Courtney claimed that she threw the knife and it _happened_ to hit her boyfriend in the chest was BS the moment that explanation was offered. I’m no knife thrower myself, but we know she didn’t really have a line of work that relates to knives in any way, and she never expressed any interest in hobbies relating to thrown weapons, so unless she got a super lucky 1 in 1,000,000 shot, it was clear she made it up.
Edit: have gotten the opportunity to practice with my own throwing knife (which is very different from a kitchen knife), and can confirm this chick is most certainly lying. Barely could get a normal throwing knife to stick when tossing it, no way in hell this chick managed to.

    • @BL00DYME55

even if she got that lucky with her throw, she wouldn't have enough strength to throw it hard enough to make a STAB wound. Skin isn't made of jelly, it's very hard to pierce unless you're putting a good amount of force into it. That goes double (or more like quadruple) for when it's thrown.

He heard her engine rev up and thought oh shit shes serious before he could look bad he was under her car along with his bike and had all his rips broken, shoulder shattered and his ear was hanging on by a thread. She left him for dead went home and told her step-dad what she had done he freaked out hopped in his truck and rushed down to him and drove him to the hospital all my friend remembers is thinking this is it. he was unable to breathe and choking on his own blood. He's very lucky to be alive. All she got was 3 years probation and community service.

For people wanting to know more about the Yuka case.
Surprisingly Luna doesn't hold a grudge, and actually forgave Yuka. Luna wanted her to have a chance at normal life again. Luna contemplated going back to work, since drinking is a big part of his job, but he eventually went back. Because of the media attention he quickly became more popular at his job, and earned even more money than he did. Luna also got to reunite with two of his siblings, because of the fame he received.
On July 1, 2019, Phoenix Luna recovered fully from his near death attempted murder. He surprised family, friends, and patrons with a Twitter status reading, “Sorry, I’m alive and back. Since I was stabbed in the liver, I can’t drink.”
On December 3, 2019, Yuka was found guilty of attempted murder. The prosecution sought a prison term of 5 years. On December 5, 2019, she was sentenced to 3 1⁄2 years in prison, with the judge calling Takaoka's crime "selfish" and that she had a "strong intent to kill." Luna stated that he did not hold a grudge against Takaoka, stating, "If possible, I want people to be able to lead a normal life rather than paying for their sins."
Yuka was ordered to pay Phoenix Luna 5 Million Yen about ($46,000 then) or ($38,000 today).
In attendance was the fully recovered Phoenix Luna who not only apologized for cheating on Yuka but also pleaded with the judge to give her a light sentence.
Yuka received 3 years and 6 months and will be released on Monday, June 5, 2023.

@@flipsidelimited6560 for the most part the prosecution has nothing to do with delaying a trial because most states have explicit laws against it (Florida included) due to the right to a speedy trial being a thing.
For the most part only the defense can delay without eating up that time. If the prosecution alone could keep setting the clock back then you'd see people in jail for years or maybe even forever without any intent to ever actually have a trial.
Double Jeopardy as you mention also generally applies if you get bumped for the time running out, by the way. Otherwise they could just rearrest and charge you over and over and over and over once the time ran out and again, this right is to prevent eternal jail without a trial.
That said, Florida has about a 6 month period allowed.
Googling it, it seems she was arrested in August. Without knowing more specifics it seems totally plausible that even if the defense didn't wave the right entirely, they're still well within the limit if the defense has asked for or agreed to even a couple mild delays so I wouldn't really jump the gun on thinking she's really been waiting too long as of yet (without being in agreement with it anyway).
