The worst sore about the whole thigh gap standard is that it’s almost entirely based on your bone structure, most people don’t naturally have a wide gap between thighs and it’s not at all a indicator of health.
Thick thighs save lives...
I think people need to realise the difference of 'skinny shaming' and being genuinly concerned about somebody's weight loss. Take Wonyoung for example
i actually didn't see a single person fat-shaming ryujin, almost everyone loved her big hips and adored how healthy she look, which at the time, and right now too, was very rare.
They're blatantly calling the muscles of the legs “fat”. That's just stupid.
None of these girls were fat before losing weight, this is absurd! And btw, Hwasa’s body is so beautiful, here in Brazil she would be considered very hot
Netizens criticize idols when they are chubby. If they loose weight, they criticize them for being too skinny. There is no win-win situation here. I know these are the Korean beauty standards, but appealing to the audience has resulted in many idols developing eating disorders and developing mental health problems.
NMIXX vs KBS please
Its really really sad that these standards exist, the way that all of the idols before losing weight were sooo much smaller than I am is actually alarming, what about all of the young women and children that are absorbing the media and growing up thinking they arent good enough 😭😭 everyone is beautiful the way they are and their body will reflect their individuality
cool video!! you coud've commented also on idols who were praised for having thick legs and perhaps why the different treatment? (I would say Yuri of SNSD and Seolhyun from AOA as examples)
people who criticized them dont really know what a fat tight is, its awful
People gain weight differently… I gain first in my upper leg and face first so it’s always obvious and I really hate it. Lots of people I know never gain anything in their limbs or have very evenly distributed weight gain and some gain in the abdominal area first.
jennie and jisoo were getting shamed for being "fat" while in the same breath rosé and lisa were getting shamed for being "too skinny" - and they're all in one group. disgusting, that's one of the best examples of the hypocrisy of some people. women can never win, no matter how they look.
New jeans vs korean beauty standards
"Jiwoo's leg gain makes her less attractive."
Idols get criticize if they have "Fat legs" or "skinny legs". Take example of Jiwoo from nmixx and wonyoung from ive. Netizens just want to hate on idols with ridiculous things. I don't understand double standards of society and their beauty standards

I think saying thick legs is unattractive is foolish. It's a sign of health amd natural womanly shape. That stick skinny look when its not natural by genetics its obvious. The idols looks sick, dry and always exhausted. Health over everything. But talent and music over unhealthy ideals.
because of these idols, I am less hateful towards my thighs. I have small upper body (boobs, belly and waist) but big thighs, shins and booty. But for some, this is great body and very fit one.
