lol, I am very proud of you for not going on a raging rant about the single solder joint. The silent smirk made me laugh. You were very professional. Two thumbs up. Thanks for the video.
I am having issues with new solder equipment. I get similar results as what came into your shop. I am new at micro soldering as a hobby and am practicing on scrap boards. You make it look so easy when you get solder on the tip of iron and roll the glob over the pads. You mentioned when the tip is bad, the solder won't stick to the tip and runs away from the tip. I thought it was because the iron was too hot. I have barely used any of these tips and now wondering if I ruined them by getting them too hot... I am going to keep practicing.

That's what happened to me when i first started soldering, i used a cheap flux with a big conical tip soldering iron and the result was always a bridge like this one :)
So a good flux and the right tip size play a big difference when doing micro soldering

A nice repair. I was wondering for a while if the board was going to work because of its other issues. For certain boards I'm wondering if it would be helpful to have a picture of a "known good" board for reference purposes. That way you could refer to the picture if you suspect that a component is missing on a board that you are working on. Thanks for the video.

    • @eclipsemn8806

@@raidone7413 Truuuue... But common sense would be realizing they don't know what they're doing. Or just look at the ports or something with pins around that one to see what they're supposed to look like. Realistically we'll never know why, I thought it was funny. I still sighed deeply though but still funny.
