Hello everyone. I wanted to apologise for the delay in getting this video uploaded, I've had a number of troubles in getting the video finalised. A problem I've had is with some of the images shown between 4:39 and 6:39. They are unclear, despite the source material not being so blurry. I've made adjustments in order to try and remedy this but haven't fully solved the problem. If anyone wants clarification on what phrases are there, don't hesitate to ask. Apologies again, I'd rather have a clearer final video but this was the best I could achieve without further delays. I look forward to hearing your responses to these ideas. Thank you as always.
    Cameron

I'm getting a sneaky suspicion you don't like the nurse
How about a small Nerf & a bit of quality of life
the first blink is shortened by one meter and the second by two
also when the nurse blinks that particle effect trail that she makes is more distinct as a visual indicator of where she's going to blink

      6:46 shards
      At least 100 or 200
5:58 What would a first down DC count as?
& What would you put down for rage-quitting like the suvr dose a cry corner or gives up on hook?

@@spiritupgrades Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. The comments regarding The Nurse were simply there as examples of something that may be unpopular in a match. Personally I don't like the blinking on a fundamental level and I think that any small adjustments wouldn't be too impactful to her power. I'd suggest that a much greater rework would be necessary to bring her in line with other killers. Currently I don't have any plans to talk about her thoroughly in a video, maybe that's something I'll tackle much later on.

@@spiritupgrades Thank you again for taking the time to leave some feedback. With the feedback reward I didn't want to leave too much of an incentive. If this were the case, players may leave false feedback just for the sake of getting their currency. I had thought that 5,000 bloodpoints would encourage players to leave feedback but not so much that it might lead to false responses. Do you think that shards would be better for encouraging feedback and that it wouldn't promote false feedback scenarios.
As for survivors 'giving up' I imagine that would need a category of it's own. This would be useful for quickly telling BHVR that a match was thrown by any number of circumstances that you described: DC's, Giving up on hook, etc. This wasn't something I had considered when creating the form but it I think it would be a very useful addition. Thank you very much for sharing this idea, it would be very nice to include.

This is great! As always, your ideas are incredible!

Something that would pair well is if they occasionally had feedback forms appear when you load into the game. This would allow them to ask questions about certain things they might not otherwise get a chance to. Something similar to how Fortnite handles player feedback.

@@CablesOut Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas. This would be great for gaining feedback for things such as the store, bloodwebs, etc. I'm not sure sure how Fortnite's feedback system works but I think that the ability to give feedback on other aspects of the game would also be really helpful.

Hey Cameron, while I feel your improved feedback idea is very good, i must also add that for BHVR to manage this feedback, they would need to also implement a sorting algorithm - the daily match count of DBD can range sometimes in the tens of thousands and the employees stationed would mathematically never read that feedback, unless they hire a third party. But even it were to never happen, your idea brings joy to my heart. Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. This is absolutely fair enough. I think that for the most part the data would be quantitative and could be automatically collated. However, the option to add extra notes and the 'Other' option for feedback would necessitate at least some human oversight. I'm glad to hear that my hypothetical ideas are appreciated. I don't imagine any of my ideas will ever make it into the game, I just enjoy discussing these ideas regardless.

giving bp for leaving feedback will lead to junk messages going through from people who just wish to get extra bp

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. This was something I had considered as a potential problem. On the one hand, a system like this would want to encourage players to leave as much feedback as possible. On the other you wouldn't want to encourage useless feedback for the sake of in-game currency. I'm not sure where a good middle-ground would lie and so opted for a small amount of BP. Do you think that a suitable reward could be found or that rewards would always lead to junk responses?

    • @boke3307

@@DBDBalanceBeyond I honestly don't believe there is a middle ground where the bloodpoints earned won't lead to junk messages and still feel like a suitable reward for the players that do actually leave feedback. Love your content btw.

I find this update pretty cool and solid. Good job really! This is not a really good visual design but I'm sure BHVR can do something really fun with that, and that would even enable more icons to use in videos and editing! (Yes strange side-effect ^^')
I think the only limitation is that newer players may not be conscious enough of what is acceptable on not. You May have heard about the Rules Book of Survivors for Killers, and yeah, in some case this is really true. I got in almost every game accusation of camping tunneling er even speedhacking (I'm streaming every time I play so there is a proof I'm not cheating, I don't camp because this is just full unfun, and I force myself to not kill before 6 hooks) and this just blow my mind. The DBD community is really toxic, and I don't know how this could go. Indeed, I'm afraid that a second "Freddy nerf" occures, you know, when Freddy was really bad, but they still nerf him even more because of the new players leaving negative feedback on the Steam page. I think they should let this feature during 3 month without considering it just to check if they are coherent. Still an amazing work, not sure if listening would be enough for them to take the good decisions but I would like to see it !

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback.
I can understand the concern regarding some feedback being 'unwarranted'. However, this system would be more valuable for gauging opinions rather than overall in-game stats. Think of it as 'x% of people think that camping takes place in their matches', rather than 'camping takes place in x% of matches'. It's slightly different and based on people perceptions of what is taking place in a match. This would hopefully put the focus on understanding peoples opinions and perceptions of their experiences in match. Further, the ability to give direct feedback about unpleasant match experiences would offer players a way of 'venting' without simply hurling abuse at their opponents in the end-game chat. Currently if a player subjects you to an unpleasant match because of their playstyle you have no way to complain other than directly to them in the endgame chat. Whilst this system wouldn't prevent that, it would hopefully reduce the amount that players feel the need to do it.
You describe the DBD community as 'really toxic' and I must disagree. In my experience the vast majority of fans are supportive, interesting and fun to talk to. The problem is the 'bad apples'. We've all had experiences with players that are unpleasant in any number of ways. However, I don't want them to be the sort of people that define this community, they are few in number. In my short time making videos, for every bad experience I've had, I've had dozens of good ones. I want these interactions to be what people focus on, rather than the cases in which players are 'toxic'.

@@DBDBalanceBeyond OK, I understand the idea. This could be a great way to do that. About DBD toxicity, I know it's a small portion that shout really loud, because even if I'm eperiencing toxicity a game over 2, it's only 1 survivor over 8, but I was afraid that this part of the community was the one completing the most the polls. The reward system could be a way of solving this, but I'm afraid that BPs only attract newer players, so I think something like 10 IS is a better option. What do you think about that ?

    • @DBDBalanceBeyond
      @DBDBalanceBeyond  4 місяці тому

@@antoninbertin-denis9545 Thank you for taking the time to respond. The rewards system was something that I was concerned about when producing this concept. On the one hand you would want to encourage as much feedback as possible. However, you would want to avoid an incentive that is too large and thereby encourages 'pointless' feedback that is only left for the sake of earning currency. I think that providing a small amount of Iridescent Shards could be a good middle-ground. This would mean that players would be encouraged to leave lots of feedback over a period of time, something that a player seeking easy currency isn't likely to do.
