I think this is my favorite channel on UA-cam. Every video is a breath of fresh air. The calming music selection, paired with beautiful architecture puts me in a place of peace. Truly inspiring. Thank you for the work you do.
Thank you. I hadn't seen this house before. Looks like a masterpiece of California modern architecture and landscape design. As a Landscape designer I'm impressed with the Zen but textured gardens and the unimpeded ocean view. Stunner.
This represents the best of America. It's amazingly sad to now see the decline of a once great nation. The intellect and thought this home represents is now a museum piece; a glimmer into an increasingly forgotten past, where progress and vision were celebrated.
America is doing just fine, take off the rose colored glasses and take a realistic look back. On the housing front, most of what was built was Levittown-esque.
Another fantastic video giving us a chance to look behind the gates and get to know a lesser known, but amazing architect’s work. The home is pure art.
OMFG. I totally feel this place. Best holistic example of the bits you see over my lifetime. It all goes back to here. The earth grew eyes and ears to see herself and she can see herslf here. Amazing. Ty.
Wright designed the Walker house in Carmel smack dab on the beach, like the prow of a ship. It's fabulous and sold this year for 20 million dollars. I have heard any house right by the waves can become annoying to some people because of sound. Green was a master. My gut tells me that it is very possible I would prefer living in this place over the place in Carmel. The site is one of the best I have ever seen, although it might feel a little bit remote from the looks of it. Thank you. There is not much online about Green's work. 😊😊❤❤
Thank you for bringing more attention to this great talent. I had the good fortune to commission a house from him in the mid-80's, located in Oregon House (northern California). His innate Southern courtesy made for excellent client relations. Sadly, I've lost track of the house and have no pictures of it. There is another of his works in Oregon House, the Mueller House, which is a testament to his sensitivity to adapt a design for a forest setting. One might think that a student of a great figure like FLW would be prone to a dogmatic adherence to his master's forms, but this is not the case with Green. Thanks again William Cambridge
Thank you for this information. I would die a happy architect if I'm able to design a passive solar home to this level of refinement. This is one of the most refined architectures I have ever seen in the US. Do you have any additional information about the homes in Oregon House? I have looked up this architect at the CCA (Canadian Centre for Architecture) and plan to study his works in their collection further next week.
Beautiful! While Wright had some issues with engineering, and repetitive motifs in his interiors, his 'bringing the outside in' concept has been carried forward by his students and others. My Dad designed a house in Arizona using many of these same concepts, determining the best views from the vacant lot before deciding where to place the main windows. While this style of house is not me (I prefer cozy 1920s-1930s Spanish Colonial Revival), the airy quality, ceiling height, continuous pavements, and built-ins are all wonderful. I'm especially drawn to the thin-sliced stone, indoors and out, on the fireplace/chimney. A really special place. Passing this along to a friend with a similar mid-century home near where Green was from.
Glad you enjoy the videos! I will say that it may not come off as a home but when you are there it's pretty phenomenal, perhaps not traditional but man is it special 💫
This is one of the futures I dream of for our Mother…The Earth…this habitat touches my heart…living in loving integration…rather than living in a dwelling created of abuse and disregard…loving healing energies live forever…🤍🕊️🤍
There are positive design elements to this home that make it superior to most of the FLW projects I've seen. But, much of the interior looks a little too dark and cave-like, even on a sunny day. I don't know if it's contrary to Green's design philosophy, but I'd be inclined to add some skylights in strategic places to brighten the interior.
It's always astonishing to me how people with money to build any kind of house they'd want to, build ugly atrocities, when they could build something truly beautiful, like this for probably a fraction of what they spend.

Beautiful piece of architecture. Thank you for bringing this beauty to us.

Lots of progression happening in that era

Well done,
Beautiful house but doesn’t feel like home.
Phenomenal channel. Thank you for you work. It’s both art and mindfulness session :)

All of it!
I’m in NorCal and gotta find Green’s work.

I think perhaps it's the materials used throughout that make it feel cave like and a bit dark. Standing in the space it's quite bright and airy
Wish these informative videos would actually discuss the featured house/structure.
Me too
And it’s for sale for $8.8 million.
We can all pitch in
It's always astonishing to me how people with money to build any kind of house they'd want to, build ugly atrocities, when they could build something truly beautiful, like this for probably a fraction of what they spend.
Agreed!
This channel is the definition of public service.
So gorgeous but that whole Palos Verdes land mass Is moving way too much.
Good news is that the movement has only impacted a certain area of Palos Verdes and this house is not affected :)
