I'm hoping that eventually we will be able to combine the two necromancy rings into one, as that way it will reduce switchscape. Fingers crossed on that.
The rings don’t attribute to switchscape tho bcuz they are pretty situational so I doubt it’ll happen if that makes the argument for doing so
@@HFIHYHAGD There's almost no situation where you wouldn't want both extra souls and necrosis stacks simultaneously, though. But even if they're combined into one, it'd be competing with reaver's ring, unless it got a lesser crit bonus itself.
@@M3ntl3g3n yeah when I said situational I meant like compared to reavers. You either pick one of those rings or pick reavers. If jagex had the man power or whatever, they should have released another daggaboth king, which dropped the occultists ring. Then Osseus could have dropped the heart of the necromancer to combine both rings into one of the same tier as reavers with both effects.
It technically won't reduce switchscape because you wouldn't do a switch for RNG ring mechanics. Would like if they combined them though.
@@M3ntl3g3n I mean, extra souls and extra necrosis stacks means you can use Finger of Death or Volley of Souls more often, which means greater DPS. Combined into one would be a huge DPS boost as both necrosis stacks and soul stacks are boosted.
Lore wise this is pretty cool!

so, will the new ring be bis ring for necro (specialy at places where you dont have 100% accuracy) or is the ring we get during or afther the new quest (yet to do the quest, should get it done soon) bis?
Necrosis stacks are much better from a damage perspective so this would be better than the quest ring.
However, in places where stuns are useful such as telos, the quest ring could be better due to you you being able to use the souls to stun
It won't, outside rago with bis necro (which is pretty easy to obtain) you have 100% accuracy everywhere , making the reaver ring way better to use.
thanks for the answers, also i dont have the t95 weapons yet on my iron so i dont have 100% acc on some of the bosses (taskman account and not rolled any first necromancer uniqes yet)

I quit rs3 back in 2016, only came back a few times to get the leftover 120s, even though no plans on doing so for nec, but coming back to try out Raksha was some of the most fun I've had playing with abilities and whatnot and seeing some of the mechanics in this boss is bringing those feelings back up again lol

Is their any new content for newer and casual players at all? Or is it the content for the top players and like the super endgame players like always?
Its really quite the opposite, all the content is for new-mid game players, basically no content for super end game players since Zamorak 2 years ago.
This boss is far far far from end game btw.
@Tzhaar100 From what I read you need like at least t90 equipment and t92 if you wanna kill it fast and those expensive prayers. The t90 costs a lot but the t92 costs like billions and same for the prayers. That's like for the endgame players
@@ghosti79 I bet it won't be terrible trying to kill it with tier 70's. Will that make the fight longer and more punishing? Definitely, but it'll likely still be doable by anyone who puts in the effort to learn.
The nice thing about necro is tier 70 tank gear and weapons are ridiculously easy to get, and the tier 80's aren't that difficult if you find a halfway decent guide. The tier 90's are a great stepping stone because they'll help teach some boss mechanics that'll come in handy for this new boss.
@Eyes0penNoFear Ya I play 2 style though. One regular character and the second one is my ironmen character and I'm playing my ironman more because it's more fun and it has no keys and microtransactions. It'll take a while for me to reach the boss lol
@@ghosti79 t92 weapons aren't endgame, T95 is endgame. T92's vs T90's also barely make a difference at all, this boss can only be killed with necromancy also which means there actually are no T92's, the T90 gear is almost completely free from just playing through necromancy progression and is very realistically obtainable by any players. The prayers also make such a small difference, you dont need the prayers for any content in the game let alone something as low level as this boss. Doing this boss in T70 armour and weapons will be totally doable.

Kinda feels like this boss should be dropping necro ability enhancing gloves similar to Kerapac's wrist wraps. Maybe like adding a couple more ticks to bloat or something like that.
Why? The other bosses drop ring upgrades so it makes more sense for it to drop a ring (even though it’s pretty lackluster)
@@ducksquidbat8315 we already have Reavers ring which is basically the Necro ring already, I just think adding hard mode with a drop that could be BIS at certain content would make it more fun for end-gamers.

idk if we’ll need to do prayer switching, may just stay on soul split if your dps output is high enough to offset the damage taken

i mean i havent played since shortly after the release of necro but i do wish it had a bit more detail... looks a bit plain imo good overall update tho... might come back after im done with my wuthering waves grind and im all caught up

@@tylers92 salve is 20% acc/dmg to undead so if it works, salve is the clear choice
Im actually not gonna complain about multiple damage types cause it makes necromancy feel like its not a gimmicky damage type and is now a core part of combat
i dont think salamancy will work as she's undead. similar to how vorkath isnt a dragon its undead.
I wish that they updated the design and made it unique looking instead of keeping it such a bare bones model. pun fully intended

Literally every other boss in the game can be fought without necromancy
@@Galimeer5 hermod is necro only too yes and the optimal way to kill vorkath is with necromancy as well and its just not interesting and if you've played the game for years or decades you already know that doing the same old bosses with a different style or even just going back to the old bosses when players arent interested in the newer ones doesnt exactly get the blood pumping necromancy was just a huge mistake getting added as a new combat style

Idea here. Collapse fletching into crafting, remove standard hide drops and add hunter monsters. Add forgemastery which would be armour/weapons making skill for magic/necromancy using energies from divination. Kinda keeps things in line skilling wise. Mining and smithing for melee, crafting for range and forgemastery for mage/necro and opens up a possible masterwork armour/weapons for all 4 styles.
Meh, seems completely unnecessary. I’d rather items come from PVM rather than making them
