It's not pseudoscientific, but it's also not absolute. You just have a little bit more chance to have a boy. Y chromosome is 1/4th lighter than X chromosome, so it's a bit faster.

I"n March 20th, 1995 during the morning rush hour, the Tokyo subway system fell victim to a deadly terrorist attack using extremely lethal sarin gas.
