Hi everyone, thanks for this demonstration video I managed to finish my first 100 navy seal burpees in 20 minutes for the first time in my life! Greetings from Italy. 🙏
Managed to hit this milestone today at the ripe old age of 55. Pretty happy with that effort. Gonna try for Level III of 6-counts. My last best effort was 225, so gotta manage better than one more per minute. Thanks for the inspiration, Max!
I have just found you channel and videos in the last few days. As a 46 yo father of three boys under the age of 10, I am a time poor individual. However at the start of the pandemic I discovered HIIT and then shortly after Iron Wolf. By working out 3-4 mornings a week for a max of 30 minutes I am now in better shape than I was at any point in my 20s and 30s, when I would regularly smash the gym for an hour plus. I think your videos are excellent and expect your following to grow quickly. Keep up the great content and keep on motivating us all.
Hey Max, I hope you're doing well mate! I've just completed this workout today which was extremely challenging but the sense of achievement and euphoria was indescribable! I've uploaded a few videos now of myself attempting the level 3 landmarks and just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me to get back to the grind! I've yet to complete the landmark of 250 6-counts (I managed 206 before having to pause but i'll get it soon!) Looking forward to graduating to level 4 in the not too distant future!
@@busydadtraining Absolutely no need to apologise Max, we’re all busy people/busy dads aren’t we! Thank you for the warm welcome, it’s a pleasure to train with you and to get involved in the programme!
Oh Busy Dad, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This programme has been inspirational. The combinations of methods on how to complete these workouts, the progression arc, the follow alongs. ..outstanding.
Thank you BD🎉 Followed right along with you (breathing a bit heavier than you though 😅), but I finished 100 navy seals in 20 min. Seemed like a pipe dream 4 weeks ago. But I followed your advise and kept pushing forward!! Next stop is 6 counts for level 3. Amazing program, love it. Thank you. Any busy dad not trying this is missing out. Highly recommend it. I’m 49 with 1 in college and 1 in high school. 80 min a week is easy to find when you want it!! Show up, I did and will keep doing so. Thank you busy dads and busy people everywhere.
Absolutely incredible, Erik! I've rarely seen someone charging through the program at the rate you're going!!! Thanks for sharing all of your progress, both with me and with the community, and congratulations on an amazing achievement! Level 3 6-counts is no joke, but you'll get there. I recommend privileging your 6-ct training (3x per week) until you arrive at Level 3 across the board. Once again, fantastic work!!!
Finally made a level 3 seals workout 💪😅 You dragged me through it Max and thank you again for these excellent follow alongs! 🙏 Must admit that I’m still lacking in the 6 counts though… Level 2 is ok and working towards intermediate 225 but those are hard nuts to crack! 😂
Thanks for the motivation BD. I tried this 3 weeks ago and only managed 60 before needing longer rest. Following your suggestion I tried 80/20mins which was comfortable. Then progressed to 90/20mins which I've stayed on for a few sessions, plus getting my 6 counts up to speed (currently on 210/20mins) now tried this again today and pleased to say finished. Thanks, great programme
Thanks for response and support. I think progress from 100 navy seals is going to be very incremental! I guess to programme for every 10 seconds would equal 120, but that's a big jump. Maybe 10 mins at 10 seconds and 10 mins at 12 seconds, but alternate. This would give 110. Plan to solidify 210 6 counts a few more sessions before attempt next level.
I finally completed this (today was my 3rd time in a row). I wanted to make sure the first two times weren't just lucky, so pushed my way through again..super stoked! Now I need to get through the 250 6-count gauntlet, stuck at 230.
I followed you to the 40 rep, then was in steadily decline, and had to pause many times, before i reach 78 and stopped because my form was also declining each rep. This challenge is very hard. Will train to do it. Great job 💪🏻🔥🥵
Just had a go at this one max as a progression from 90.. absolutely terrible workout! One of those days. Not in the frame of mind been procrastinating all morning and my 1st attempt was around a minute! Tbf came back for a second go but the shoulders wouldn't take it and had to stop at 6mins. With a few rest periods built in I completed 1656 counts... sometimes it's not the day. Think the body and mind ready for a rest, so some kettlebells tomorrow and then have a breather for Xmas. See you the other side and merry Xmas, thanks for all the workouts and pep talks
I feel you, my man. I've been there hundreds of times. It's part of the process, and al credit to you for showing up in spite of the demons. Rest up, my friend, and I look forward to you coming back stronger very soon. Happy Christmas!
After passing level 3 last week I thought I would attempt it alongside this video and it felt excellent. Going into the New Year it now feels like I've turned a corner and it's this that is pushing me to continue to improve. Now to get to level 3 on the 6 counts.
Great idea for pace doing 1 rep every 12 seconds. I'm going to apply this to my one pump and double pump burpee workouts. Note quite ready for a full navy seal workout as yet. Soon tho💪🏾
This was a killer. Smashed L2, but this one will take some time. Completed it but had to add in some rests. Also need to work on my form - not used to the seals yet. Good work on this one though.
I completed this on 2nd attempt, but needed an extra 20 sec at rep 72 and then an extra 10 sec at rep 90. It's amazing the jump from 90 reps to 100 reps and 15 sec breaks to 12 sec (those 3 extra secs make a big difference). Hoping to fully complete the workout this week. @busydadtraining, thanks for all videos and motivation to complete.
So proud of myself. Today I was extremely unmotivated and very nearly skipped the workout. I ploughed on regardless and managed 100 reps, just two reps shy of my PR.
Phenomenal work! Going to try for under 25 min for my 100 Seals. I recently had my fist vaccine shot and it’s kept me on the sidelines unfortunately. Have you received yours yet? Did it affect you at all?
@@busydadtraining appreciate it! Today is the third day after I took it and I’m finally feeling better. Going to try a simple burpee workout but nothing crazy.,
If you have back issues, do this with hands elevated for a month. This will give your back time to adapt to the load plus get you accustomed to 100 navy seals at a easier progression. Less pain more gain.
yikes, it takes me 1 hour to complete this lol, i need to up my game xD Greetings from new zealand, you are an inspiration to challenge myself. have a good day Sir o/
I made it! Today I unlocked level 3. Saturday I upped my PR from 240 to 250 6-counts and today I went from 95 to 100 navy seals. So stoked! I did not expect to reach level 3 with the seals in the same week as with the 6-counts.
HELL YEAH!!!!!!! my man, Level 3 is absolutely legitimate! Just did a level 3 session myself and it was very taxing. Great work. Great! Can't wait to welcome you to Level 4!!!! Massive congratulations!!!!!!
Hello Mate. Managed to accomplish 80 the other week pretty easily I thought... Today went for a 100 and failed with 81. The pace and pump slowed me half way. But hey that's the way it is. That's my new goal. Will keep fighting. Word of advice? Cheers
Hello, my friend! My word of advice would be to climb much more slowly. I bet you can get 85 next workout. Try this: perform this workout at this pace EXCEPT for minutes 1, 5, 10, 15, and 19. For those minutes, go at one rep every 12 seconds. That'll get you 85. Trying to jump from 80 to 100 is suicide!!
Oh max just not quite today😢 again did the distance but between 60 and 90 secs over. I hope you don't mind me posting after each go, I just find it therapeutic to get my immediate workout thoughts down and motivates for the next round. Damo
Finished all 100 Navy Seals, but needed a one minute break at 50, 70, 80 and 90 reps. Although I needed breaks, I felt very comfortable with my respiration. I hardly felt out of breath. I highly recommend people try the Wim Hof breathing method before you practice burpees. I think this helped a lot. The reason I needed breaks was because my muscles felt very fatigued, perhaps from a workout I had yesterday. Looking forward to successfully completing all 100 unbroken sometime in the near future. Finished 100 Navy Seals, no breaks this time like my first attempt 3 days ago. Breathing exercise and coffee before I started. Rested yesterday, and body felt much more capable in today's session. Average heart rate 172, 284 calories burnt. Now on to unbroken Level 3 6 counts!
Completed this again today. Average heart rate this time is 152, 20 less than last time. I feel much fitter. Not out of breath and recovered quickly. 271 calories burnt, roughly the same as last time. Still working on level 3 6 counts. Good luck everyone!
I have tried the 80 Navy Seals for a few weeks now. Today I did them the first time together with you. And there would have been a few more in the tank. Thank you. Also, a question about the glute activation, with the punch on the hips. Do you also do something like a hip thrust or what are you focusing on when you do the movement?
EXCELLENT WORK!!! If you do a hip thrust, you will only do your glutes a big favor. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, but it's a great practice to get into. Congratulations again, my friend!

Tried lvl 3 6-counts. No way, blood. It's not the pushups that get me. It's the standing up. This is still hard now but it's getting easier. Thanks Max, I went from being "that fat guy" at work to coworkers complaining they want to look like me. Still ugly tho. Peace
You're right. Been too busy and lazy all week long. Finally able to train today. Had to cut off at 94. Damn shame, but my heartrate just went too high. It was going toward 180. Normally I do these between 120-150ish. I began to feel dizzy. I'll chug in the rest now and do some kind of punishment later, but I find it shocking how quickly one goes to rust especially considering I ride 36km on my bike every work day and my job is also highly agile. I need to go back to every day, no excuses. If only it weren't so damn tropical here where I live. It's really the heat that gets me, I think, but working out with ac on is also nono.
First off, bit congratulations on hitting Level 2! As for your question about wrist pain: It hasn't to me, but I know many who have encountered wrist pain. They say that doing their reps on their fists or using push up handles makes a big difference. There are also wrist wraps. Try one of these solutions, and slow down the training for a couple of weeks while you adjust to the new form.
Great body at your age my good friend. So far i cant continue my challenge i need to settle all benifits and claims for my brother 😭🙏🕊️ thank you for the prayer my friend
Hey Max I read into your busy dad programs. For the Test-in week would it be one session of 20 minutes for 6 count one day and 20 minutes of Navy SEALs for another day? Then the next week 80 minutes total for the start, focusing more on the weaker movement depending on how I do from test?
This is not easy. Especially at this pace and strict count. Did 60, rest, 25, rest, 15 in about 35 mins. Be good to do these follow alongs with a beep so we know when to get ready to start each rep
