It is a blessing you did not get hurt. I appreciate the work and videos you do for this industry. I wish in the late 80s and 90s we had this kind of access. It was all magazines.

My bro was involved in refurbishing an old underground mine, the company thought they could get some more minerals out of it or something. They where going over the power system and the like. Well one of the guys was getting ready to work on one of the old power substation hub thingies. Something that normally has High Voltage and High Current running through it. Think it was like hundreds or thousands of volts, can't remember the amps. Guy was wrenching on it, and was under the impression it was not live any longer. That was until he completed the circuit. My brother was around the corner, he said he saw a bright flash, and a loud bang, like a gun shot or something. Everyone came running to the location of the flash. They just saw the dude laying on the ground in shock screaming, his arms where gone. The same thing that happened to your solder, happened to the wrench, and this guys arms. They where vaporized, poof gone in an instant, just smoldering stumps where left, up by his shoulders.

Caps scare the hell out me. Whenever doing HID to LED conversions or ballast swaps at work I really take my time so I don't get a 600+ volt sendoff.

People always say "naw you dont need caps just get more lithium" hey dont get me wrong.. lithium comes first... but only the real OG's now how powerful banks of ultra caps can be in combination with lithium!!!!!!!!!

I run caps. Im a huge advocate for them!!

I always see pll have 3x more.lithiym then they really need. So with that being said why waste all that money on lithium your not utilizing...why not save that lithium money. Buy a 12 cell cap bank of 1000 farads of Maxwell caps an you'll be golden on stabilizing voltage the lithium in conjunction behind the caps will last longer then if it was just.them alone. An then you got some serious power. Caps are no joke. Don't let em bite you (dump a short into your body) you can will get hurt badly an could die. 2000+ amps on 12.8v will blow your heart into pieces

Spoken with so much truth!! OG basshead here too and I've always ran caps. They still too this day scare me into complete respect for them. I'm damn slow and damn careful messing with them but they absolutely make a positive difference in your system. Xs power's SB caps are great. I've got the SB630. 630 Farads blows my mind still lol. Back when I was a teenager you were the shit if you had a 1 or 2 farad capacitor lol lol lol. Most bassheads then had the .5 farad. Now these young bassheads these days can get 630 farads of cap and all fit in a group 51R battery box...... just INSANE!! I wish that was around back in 97 lmao!!

Solder? Try having a stainless steel rod (car antenna) fall onto your batteries, your Amp shuts down and about the time you turn back to see what's going on the car is so full of smoke all you can see is this strange, glowing, almost neon thing in the back seat that gets really bright before it liquefied and melted holes in your batteries. Keep em clean, folks.

Ohhh man I did something very similar but with a Cyber 12k, a reg 25ah limitless and a 1kFD XS SB1000-31 supercap all wired together and fully charged up to 14.6V and I was just trying to shove a very very tiny thin wire underneath my buss bar to power up one them cheap/free D4S volt meters and I was using a long thin Allen hex wrench because it was already sitting there next to it and I somehow ended up arching that wrench right on the supercap itself with all that lithium behind it and literally within under a second I watched that Allen wrench go from red to bright white and then POPPP she melted like a cheap 100a fuse leaving both individual pieces stuck to my now colderized finger tips!!! I swung my hand around so damn fast to get them unstuck and mannn was it ever a painful burn on the tips of my thumb and first fingers! Smh, please people be extremely cautious when working with any kind of lithium or capacitors ⚠️ 🙏

I’ve had that happen soldering in a alarm and arched the roll while doing the constant.

12V seems so harmless.... Until it isn't.

Bro, no voltage is dangerous until it has amps to run, the more you have, the bigger the bang you will get!
