Hi, you should have prioritize the reviews of the playseat trophy, because everything had been said on the CSL DD/GT DD pro and the Logitech G pro. there's a real lack of pro review on this rig... and how it work with different wheels
That cockpit video is what I want to see. I don’t know about the price though. £529 is pretty high for something unfold-able. The PlayStation 5 with the PSVR2, the Logitech PRO wheel and foot pedals and with that Logitech cockpit is going to be over three grand, and that’s not including the TV. 🤔 in the current economic climate I don’t thing many people are going to pull the trigger on a setup like this.
I just saw the price of that cockpit and it is insane they're charging that price for something that looks like it cost $200. I wouldn't waste my money on it and would much rather save a little more to buy the better looking TR8 PRO if I needed or wanted a tubing cockpit. My original plan was to get the TR8 PRO but ended up buying the Sim-Lab TR1 cockpit instead when they had a discount going on around June/July of 2022. I have the Logitech G29 and bought a GT3 carbon fiber wheel for it from Etsy which is lighter than the original wheel and the FFB feels better due to that. Also bought some kit to have the pedals inverted and the TrueBrake kit for the brake pedal. I won't be buying any new racing wheel anytime soon since I also use this one for older consoles and arcade games. 👍🏼
idk man in this case I feel like you do get what you’re paying for. It’s 2023, you can pretty much have accessible to 4k console gaming any day and pretty accessible considering the value it offers with a nice display (e.g. C1, C2). And now we’re getting close to having a stunning psvr2 title like this game so balanced and optimized into a seamless virtual reality in which you can feel exactly inside of a sports car going insanely fast feeling like in that cockpit.. The amount you pay still feels accessible considering the value of entertainment you get.
Thanks for the video. What is the deal with the big border on your main TV display? Is the max possible without a border a 48 inch or 42 inch? Hoping to purchase a LG C2 for a GT Omega Prime Rig but not sure what size to pick.
The border appear on the screen and when you gaming in VR it goes back to normal once you take the headset off. Size wise personally I'd say the 48" would he perfect.
The border is something you can manually turn on for your headset to have a point of reference to track, if tracking isn't working well. By default it's turned off, not on like in the video.
I would love to try the Logitech DD. I’m just too invested in the fanatec ecosystem. I have 3 different wheel aside from the GT one (which is meh) my main wheel is the uni hub v2 with a turn racing R305 racing rim. There’s three different pedal options which are all loadcell. It’s rather a huge shame that the Logitech wheel doesn’t even ship with the high end loadcell pedals which are like another 350 on top of the 1k for the wheelbase itself. My whole setup was 3.5k but that’s also including several upgrades like other wheels and a loadcell and a buttkicker gamer pro an of course the 4K 120hz hdmi audio extractor for use on a PS5. Where someone to want the same setup but with the Logitech gear they’d be looking at at least 4.5k maybe even 5k which is pretty ridiculous on a console setup. The plastic construction and the cheap looking wheel doesn’t make me want to try and drop 1300 on a whole other wheelbase and pedals.
This makes total sense, seeing as Logitech's more popular wheels are the lower end G29 which don't require a base. Fanatec wheels are built entirely around that design and compatible with many more parts, so you have more flexibility+options when it comes to customizing your set up. Logitech doesn't expect to move many of those wheels per year and it costs them more than Fanatec because it's a specialized product for Logitech. So I'm guessing the higher price tag helps guarantee decent profits despite not selling many units.
PSVR2 Sim...and still can't decide which one to get! Pretty much, looking at the Fanatec dd Pro 8nm with the BMW GT2 V2 and the CSL Elite Pedals V2 vs Logitech Pro wheel and pedals...being the Fanatec Bundle 200 euros less. Any thoughts?
GT7 users experimenting with this configuration could also consider adding a buttkicker or other bass transducer to their rig. Either will require a connection via ethernet to a PC to interact with the Sim Racing Studio app. SRS can collect telemetry data from GT7 (by IP) to generate tactile feedback. Although subtle as compared to other games on PC, it is still enough to further the immersion and can help overcome motion sickness.
What amp would you recommend for at least one buttkicker or bass transducer? An amp under $300 of course since I've seen some expensive ones being recommended.
@@GeekStreet Then please check the email I sent you.... Since Simhub has added support for GT7 we can go far beyond the typical Buttkicker approach. I can build multichannel effects that are more advanced and can bring much more immersion than single units or installations using 4 corners.
I'm running the buttkicker via a hdmi audio extractor from the TV signal. Not as precise as 'sim hub' (via PC) but still adds a lot to the experience. Recommended for those without a PC.
3:04 If your going to psvr2 on gt7 you should pick the custom barrier and just make a big one so that you can put your controllers on a near by desk so they don’t get in the way
PSVR Sim The Logitech Wheel seems cool, but i can't get away from Fanatec, since they are the only ones supporting both consoles and PC in one wheel. Since I have all consoles and a PC, this is the only choice for me.

Grewt video thanks! Can you use the clutch to really shift manually in GT7? Even with force feedback of the clutch? And which devices would i need for this?
Have the g923 and shifter. Clutch works in game when the correct gearbox is fitted in tuning shop OR if the standard version of the car is manual w/clutch
How is it using the PSVR2 Headset with the Playseat trophy seat. Does it often bump on the back of the seat where the neck rest is ? Or do you have to lean forward to avoid it ?
TrueForce is a game changer. The PSVR2 headset also has a button you can switch to on or off for vibration Yes the headset! on PS5 GT7 with the Logitech pro pedals and wheel with the Virtual reality. OMG I am in heaven, and for an atheist that is saying a lot.
This was *really* helpful - thank you for keeping it short and factual. I currently have a T300RS and Next Level F GT Lite and after getting a PS-VR2 I wanted to upgrade immediately as the T300RS in GT7 has almost non-existent FFB. After loads of YT vids and reading reviews (and finally watching this) I've decided the G Pro and the Trophy are what I will purchase. A bit disappointed I can't use my modded Th8a shifter but knowing Logitech they will release a decent (read expensive) shifter. As for wheels they are almost certainly working on an F1 wheel given the Lando Norris promotion, possibly even McLaren branded, so I'm happy to wait. Apart from the extra 3nm another decider is that the GT DD Pro wheel is just so fugly whereas I adore the look of the G Pro - plus their support is miles better than Fanatec. Just one question for you - I know Logitech and Playseat say the Trophy is built for DD wheels but are you finding any flex when using the G Pro with Trueforce on or is pretty much rock-solid?
Thanks - I went ahead and bought the G Pro, pedals and the Logitech Trophy in a promo bundle here in Australia about 5 weeks ago and I'm glad to say it's been rock solid, can't believe how much better my driving is. The seat is super-comfy and the whole rig pushes out the way more easily than the GT Lite did. Not in the same league price wise of course but I'm so glad I bought this setup.
I have the same gloves and if you want to avoid the fraying don't use the velcro strap as it pulls the fibres out. Instead just loosen them enough so you can slide your hand in and out; should still be snug enough overall. Though it may be a bit late for the pair you have...😄 Nice review btw!
Do u really need gloves? I can't wait to get a set up. Loving PSVR2 so far but I refuse to play GT7 without wheel and pedals first. Gotta do it proper!
@@trenbolognasandwich6021 That depends. If you race with alcantara wheels then I would say definitely yes as it will significantly increase the lifespan of the wheel in terms of wear. If you're on synthetic wheels it's just personal preference.
@@soupnazi22 gotcha. Yeah I was just gonna start off with the Logitech but maybe I'll get them just to prolong the wear. I like keeping all my systems and accessories in really good condition. Didn't even think of that part. Thank u.
@GeekStreet I have purchased the Fanatec GT DD Pro and I'd like to use it with the PSVR2 Headset, but it seems they both need a USB C Connection and there is only one port on the front of the PS5. I know the PSVR2 has to be connected in to the USB C on the front because of its integreation with the onboard Video Card, will a adapter USB A 2.0 to USB C 3.1 adapter work for the Fanatec GT DD Pro? I've seen videos of people showing off the VR in game and the features of the wheel, but not on how to set all of this up. Could you explain how you did it? Thanks for your hard work!
I'm a little bit suprised by this comment as didn't think fanatec changed the cable to connect to a PC its type c on the wheel base and usb A on your console but if they have just get this adapter amzn.to/48AjiCS And use the type c on the console for the PSVR2. Hope that helps.
Looking at your video I can't help but mention that the wheel response of logitech is behind of what you see on the screen. Fanatec is 1 on 1 what you do and what you see. So there for I would always go for the fanatec.
That's completely false. The delay/lag that you see here isn't because of the wheel but because of the TV he's using. Many TV and of bigger sizes have a lot of lag and this is why I prefer to use a monitor (24" for 1080p and lower - 27" for higher) if I'm playing competitive games online. He would get the same delay/lag on that TV with the Fanatec wheel.
Psvr sim 👍. Just the review I've been waiting for. I can't wait to get my hands on a logitech pro dd wheel. I won't buy gt7 I until I get a this wheel, and the psvr2. For now I'm sticking to My logitech g27 (with a usb adapter), psvr 1 and gt sport, waiting until I can afford all components and make a complete transition. Thanks for your rev8. I'm even more hyped now.
so bought a ps5 recently just for the VR, played 20 minutes in GT7, deleted it and went back to Project Cars 1 PCVR. baffled how hardly nobody talks about the horrible reprojection the PSVR2 does. driving in GT7 and looking out your window and its instantly noticeable and horrendous. And as soon as I played the oval track and the whole car shifted up the slope from under me but I didn't move with it (so when you look down your whole body is now dislocated from you and over to your right while your head stays in place is madness) seems they just plonked the VR view in and went YUP THATS SORTED. My PSVR is currently up for sale already.
Logitech pro pedals really need to get back in stock again. I have the wheel, but I'd like to have the pedals get here before my rig does in about 3 weeks.
Yes. And if you want to use it with an Xbox, you can use either the csl dd base or the DD Pro base as long as you use an Xbox compatible fanatec wheel (or a wheel attached to an Xbox compatible fanatec wheelhub)
You can always buy a BMW GT2 wheel or any Fanatec formula wheel for the DD Pro if you want that True force feeling as those wheels have rumble motors in them
@@ploppen3872 it's effectively identical. same tech. some games one feels better and some games worse. I've had about 35-40 ppl test them and whichever they used first always ends up being their favorite.
@@GeekStreet i saw your video with the logitech pro racing wheel vs the fanatech dd wheel which one did u end up liking more? having hard time deciding should i just live without a stick shift on the logitech or stick shift makes it lot more fun?
So happy GT7 doesnt use the VR controllers since Im one of the many that are having problems with them so its nice to get to jump in and race in VR while all my other games have failed ....
I really want to play this in VR but with so many features needing an internet connection even the Single Player Career Mode this is something I refuse to support. Such a shame because putting all of that to one side this game would no doubt be a lot of fun in VR.
It seems that online connection is a way to prevent piracy on this game, Sony invested a lot on this game, still you should try this game, it's awesome and even better with PSVR2 and a DD wheel.
Please don't judge me, but can I just get a cheap, shitty TV for my PSVR2, and if I get the Wheel? Or should I stick with my good TV? I'm asking because I figured smaller TV more space.
@@elliottryan13 That is correct. 😉👍 My girlfriend often watches her programs on the TV that the PS5 is is hooked up to, while I’m racing with the PSVR2 headset.
@@elliottryan13 Yea, I got the Logitech G29 and the Next Level Racing F-GT Lite foldable rig. There are many different ways to rig up your wheel and pedals so you don’t have to have a rig but a wheel and pedals I believe is a must. It will amaze you and boost the immersion of the game equal to how the game felt going from a flat screen to VR. The G29 is a great starting wheel set up that has a reputation of lasting a long time and is one of the least costing of the wheel set ups. You could even look them up on eBay for an even better price for used ones. Many people start out with this wheel and then if they are still in to the game a year or two they upgrade to the Fanatic wheels that run over $1,000.
The only major downside with VR2 are the lenses, which are a downgrade from VR1. It is such a shame as I own both and I can see the difference in clarity. Nevertheless, I bought VR2 for GT7 and it is totally worth it. If you love GT7, then the VR2 is a must buy. It's a game changer and I really recommend it. Cheers!

Currently use a T300RS, Heusinkveld Sprints, Aiologs shifter and handbrake, along with a drivehub on PS5 for GT7 and PSVR2. Can anyone confirm if I swapped out my T300 RS for this G Pro wheel (Playstation version) that the pedals, shifter, handbrake will all still be compatible??? I can't see why not as I'd have thought the wheelbase would just act as a pass through in/out of the drivehub , same as my T300 RS. Don't want the hassle of buying it to find out it won't!! Just want to make sure it will work natively with the Trueforce etc.
Don't quit the Thrustmaster ecosystem yet until you tried their soon-to-be-updated-for-PS5 T818 DD wheel base. I am in the same boat as you, with a T300RS combined with their brilliant (and lowest price' Load Cell pedals in the market) T-LCM.
Found out that Drivehub isn’t compatible with the G Pro wheel anyway so Trueforce wouldn’t even work. Also hearing of problems with the Logitech wheels. As you say, I will wait for the T818 for the PS5 and give that a try. Just wish they hadn’t used so much plastic on it, quick release etc. still, it’s got to be better than the T300!
Hey I'm very late but I was wondering if your PSVR2 has very grainy and slightly blurry vision because I just got mine and it's like that. (Note that I have adjusted the eye tracking and eye position settings to near perfection)
That's probably because of the lag from the TV and not from the Logitech wheel. I doubt the same would happen if playing on a monitor with barely any lag.
Great review. I have a DD Pro 8nm with the LC brake option. Whilst I love it, if I'd known that Logitech were going to release their DD wheel, I'd have waited. Both have their good points, and hardly any negatives.

PSVR2 SIM... great video, straight-to-the-point!👌

Thanks for video. Any chance of another “settings” video, specifically for the best Logitech Pro wheel settings for gt7? Thanks.
Does the dd pro have the same details and feedback in gran turismo 7 compared to the logitech pro
Doesn't it make more sense to just remove the clutch pedal if you're not using a stick shifter?
PSVR2 Sim...and still can't decide which one to get! Pretty much, looking at the Fanatec dd Pro 8nm with the BMW GT2 V2 and the CSL Elite Pedals V2 vs Logitech Pro wheel and pedals...being the Fanatec Bundle 200 euros less. Any thoughts?
I went with the Logitech G Pro, more money, but better overall feedback.
Does the csl dd gt really have a lot of flex between the wheel and wheel base? I cant choose for this Reason moza or fanatec I can’t choose
No both are pretty firm.
Interesting idea 🤔
I agree, I've just been using subwoofers for now lol
Do you get headache with using vr? I was planning too but didnt got it because of this.
I was fine with racing but trying some adventure games I did feel a little bit of nausea
3:04 If your going to psvr2 on gt7 you should pick the custom barrier and just make a big one so that you can put your controllers on a near by desk so they don’t get in the way
Can you learn to drive with a setup like this ?
Yes! 100% will enhance your understanding of real life driving muscle memory and physics!
If you turn off the VR controllers you don't need to keep them close. I haven't turned mine on in days. Just navigate menus with the DS.

The Logitech Wheel seems cool, but i can't get away from Fanatec, since they are the only ones supporting both consoles and PC in one wheel. Since I have all consoles and a PC, this is the only choice for me.

How is it using the PSVR2 Headset with the Playseat trophy seat. Does it often bump on the back of the seat where the neck rest is ?
Or do you have to lean forward to avoid it ?
It does bump into the back so you can't completely lean back so you end up leaning forward slightly but it's fine as you're looking around.

PSVR2 SIM - nice review sir
Like you’re driving in real life,amazing 11/10
Sorry for the late reply, the frame is pretty solid.
Thanks for the tip much appreciated!
Thank u.

Would this work with moza wheel and shifter using the rasution 2?
Yes it'll work but the experience isn't as smooth and consistent as fanatec or Logitech.

Is there a way to have rumble in the chair? I have yet to find an accessory.
Buttkicker or bass transducer.
I'm a little bit suprised by this comment as didn't think fanatec changed the cable to connect to a PC its type c on the wheel base and usb A on your console but if they have just get this adapter
amzn.to/48AjiCS
And use the type c on the console for the PSVR2. Hope that helps.
Does the truforce make a big difference in VR? I am most interested in that since you can’t see the wheel in VR.
well the trueforce would be something you feel not see lol so not seeing the wheel doesn't matter
All the muck going on with fanatic I’m very skiddish to buy from them so I’m leaning to Logitech
I also have the Trophy. How many bolts can you mount for the logitech steering wheel

This dude drives like Flinn from breaking bad!! 😅
so bought a ps5 recently just for the VR, played 20 minutes in GT7, deleted it and went back to Project Cars 1 PCVR. baffled how hardly nobody talks about the horrible reprojection the PSVR2 does. driving in GT7 and looking out your window and its instantly noticeable and horrendous. And as soon as I played the oval track and the whole car shifted up the slope from under me but I didn't move with it (so when you look down your whole body is now dislocated from you and over to your right while your head stays in place is madness) seems they just plonked the VR view in and went YUP THATS SORTED. Can you use any fanatec wheel on the base as long as it's a ps compatible base?

Ah bro! Sorry to hear your having issues with your sense controllers, mine have been great so far 🤞🏼
New update has firmware updates that solved my controller issues today
I don’t even turn on the TV when I’m using the PSVR2. You can use it just plugged in to the PS5.
@@RickMidds So the TV is basically irrelevant, correct?
@@elliottryan13 That is correct. 😉👍

@RickMidds Fuck yeah! Thanks, brother! Do you have a steering wheel for GT7? If so, is it pretty easy to hook up?

Wish Logitech would release a pro shifter
Yes definitely agree
Where do you connect CSL Elite steering wheel when PSVR2 is connected to the front of the console ?
Yes
Hey I'm very late but I was wondering if your PSVR2 has very grainy and slightly blurry vision because I just got mine and it's like that.
(Note that I have adjusted the eye tracking and eye position settings to near perfection)
I can see a big difference in lag between the wheels, Logitech lag is much bigger.
That's probably because of the lag from the TV and not from the Logitech wheel. I doubt the same would happen if playing on a monitor with barely any lag.
