Cheers for the shout mate 👍 and many thanks to Brian for sending the samples up for the Meet Up, he's makes & retails a quality, good value product IMHO 👍
Cracking Kevy, beautiful razor and one of my favourites. The Muhle R41 was my first ever razor for my 28th birthday didn't realise what I was letting myself in for 5 years ago and to this day I can't get enough of it. Now nor can my wife 😂
Put simply our R41+ is not a knock off, its an improvement. In fact our channel head is patented. If you notice closely, the R41+ does not have a bevelled channel like the R41. Our head features a straight edge instead, which kind of acts as a mini safety bar. It makes our razor a touch milder but more comfortable, but almost as aggressive, so there is far less chance of getting nicked, or cut. Our handle is longer and so much better knurled. We intentionally designed the Tribute 41+ to be head heavy, unlike the R41, so that the user has less tendency to press down! Imagine, a nice aggressive razor, that you can comfortably shave with every day, that not only tributes the R41, but I think, improves it. Our razor is about 60% of the price of the original including ConUSA shipping.. The R41+ is guarenteed against manufacturing defects for life, What's not to like?"
Hi Sheldon. What is the mildest TTO razor your company sells? I think it's the Espresso but I'm not completely sure about that. On a side note, it would be helpful if all de razor manufacturers included the blade gap for each model as standard practice.
All three are mild. Perhaps the Sumatra is a touch more aggressive than the other two. I think that our Espresso will bring you many years of joy! I really do.
@@sbcwinn Hi Sheldon. I took delivery of my Espresso yesterday and had my first shave with it this a.m. I am very impressed. Such a smooth, mild yet efficient razor - just the way I like it. And the complimentary razor stand is a welcome addition. Thank you for designing such a great razor. In fact, it very well could become my daily driver. And when the Replispeed and Fatguy come out I will be purchasing those as well. Consider me one very satisfied customer, and a customer for life.
@@nicetna2010 I love to hear that! Enjoy your razor! I use Espresso with Voskhod blades. Great, comfortable shave! If you could leave a review on our sight it would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
Kevy, if you like a longer handle, you could always purchase the R41 Grande, which comes with a 4 inch handle. The R41 Grande is by far my favorite razor.
Excellent Shave, the Signature soaps are top class. I don’t mind the goaty scent at all. That boar looks well broken in, lovely handle also. Better weather on the way for the Bank Holiday so I’m told.
I also owe this razor......and this is really an awesome razor to give you smooth shave in just two passes.....it not very aggressive.....combine it with 7’o clock permasharp.....
The razor is indeed a dead ringer for the R41. A cranking loud producer of feedback! I'm not sure what to make of the blade. I have read and seen mixed reviews of Shaver Boy. I know they are distributed in Canada. I have heard they are Korean in manufacture, but don't hold me to that claim. I prefer a 3½" handle myself. The 4" is a bit long for my WTG pass. I wouldn't mind the head version of this tribute. I have a handle for it to reside. I am indeed pleased with Signature Soaps. Glossy, slick, and moisturizing formulation for just such a razor. It left your skin soft, supple, and free from stubble and irritation, I am ordering that Myrsol for sure this time. I like the glass bottle, and face feel of their products. The GrayDog Keyhole in cocobolo is gorgeously figured. His skill is unmatched in wood selection, and knot matching for the best results. I hope to hear from him someday. He was calling pretty regularly. Alas, I am forsaken. Today's shave was clean, and close. BBS city, to be exact. I wish that going to Dundee to grab some rain was possible. I could only heft two buckets, unfortunately. It is still a blazing inferno in San Antonio. A magma hot, kiln roasting, crucible, forge, August in Texas. How I yearn for a summer home in Dundee. Enjoy the cool breeze, Kev. Regards to Shona, and Riley B.
Excellent shave Kevy💈💈 Tribute R41 razor sure looked the part, did the job it seems. No R41 in my den, but I do have a couple aggressive razors. Welcome back Kevy. To be fair, it was lovely in Dundee on Thursday, before returning to 'normal' 24hrs later! Very tidy shave too. Nearly bought the Myrsol Emulsion from Ian. What's your thoughts on it? Scent? Scent-free? Was looking for a scent free balm, other than the Proraso White, so it wouldn't clash with my after shaves. As you mentioned too, the Signature Soap is very slick.
The Myrsol has a little scent but it doesn't interfere with any smell from splashes, it gone within 30 seconds. Brats Balms are really good and they're in Scotland. Cheers. Kevy 👍
Great shave. Anyone with big hands wanting to shave with a R41 could get the long handle knockoff. It's interesting to look at razor knockoffs to see how they actually work rather than be the bad guy and say they're horrible than the genuine versions
