I just want a smaller phone again
:( I remember when people first started speculating about the SE 4 they said it might have the body of the 13 Mini and I was super excited
Some liked it but the sales on it were horrible so I don't think Apple will ever bring it back.
The perfect phone for me would be a mini size with LCD display but sadly, looks like I got to stick with my SE 3rd gen

@@jocklazer4 OLED phones have something called PWM, it’s pretty much screen flickering, kind of like black frame insertion. Most can’t notice it or are affected I, sadly I am not most and for people like me the phone companies don’t care about.
apple has to drop the iphone SE 3 before 2025 because it doesnt have usb-c, and the EU is forcing everyone to have usb-c by the end of 2024

im holding out my iphone xr until the se 4 comes out or hold out even longer until se 4 drops mid year. i remember when the iphone xr was the "budget model" from iphone x and xs with lcd panel. then the 11 and now all lineup becomes "standard iphone" from budget origin range

That won’t happen with the SE line up, it never has for any of its past generations & especially if it didn’t happen with the SE3 which highly deserves a price drop- it’s for sure not happening with the se4 which value is much better-- well for most people I personally will hate the phone & keeping my SE3 but I’m in the minority

It should have the body of the *mini* or at least the Xs or 11 pro. Especially now that the 16 lineup will even be bigger.
The issue is that these designs are outdated. To match the 11 Pro, a new design is needed, which costs more. They prefer to recycle recent old designs to save money.

It depends on the size of the new SE phone in comparison to the iPhone 12 mini. If it’s too big then I won’t probably be buying it and I’ll stick with my 12 mini.
It’ll be roughly the same size as any 6.1-inch OLED iPhone (iPhone 12/12 Pro, 13/13 Pro, 14/14 Pro, 15/15 Pro).

The iPhone 5s is already a perfect form factor. Apple just needs to upgrade some of its hardware like the processor, port and camera.
They missed the boat on this!! The design should have been based on the iPhone 13 mini for the smaller phone users and everything else still in it!!!
You know I love the se model, because they’re great for gaming. The top and bottom of the phone allows you to hold onto them. The SE 4 doesn’t have that design, but if it is true it has an oled, bigger battery, same chip set as 16, I might go for it.

It is better than the 8 at least but I suppose I just wish I had good zoom.
@@roco9504 i feel a big preformance upgaade coming from the 8. Im able to run stuff more smootly anf faster and be able to get the latest ios. the camera is slighty better than the 8 but i dont really care because im not a picture taker.
@@roco9504 With that chesis Apple can't provide bigger battery, that is why they switched to iphone 14 chesis. If you are happy with that thick bazel and home button, then stay with se 3. There are so many people who are waiting for Apple to bring change on the design of upcoming SE.
Feedback and what I missed: 1. no comparison to the mini which was a full flagship model in a smaller form factor. Basically, the focus is on that it's an interesting device and a step-up for budget users. Users who want more, but a smaller form factor might be on the fence, since the camera will probably yield worse results in darker rooms than their iPhone 13 mini camera. 2. slower, less hectic animations and cuts.

I don't see them cutting the price of the SE 4 a year in to $399 considering the 2022 SE is still selling (retail) for $429 in mid-2024.

Holding out on my ancient iPhone 7 until the SE4 comes out, since I can no longer either afford or justify their super expensive current models. This should offer me everything I need for a more acceptable price; just wish it was coming out this year! I'm glad it has a bigger screen, as someone who is long sighted, the bigger the better; at least now I will be able to see it without having to find my glasses, hurrah! Can't wait.

they cant be redesigning it this much, the philosophy of SE is "old design, good specs." However, it does make sense they're redesigning it this way because the the first SE used last generation's design, and the second one used last generation's design again. so it makes sense for the iPhone SE 4 to be based on the iPhone 14 because it was last generation's design.
I honestly wish they did the XR design, it even already has 1 camera hole for them & can likely reduce costs since it’s a cheaper housing…

The 3000 mAh isn't much of a phone unless you want to grab a charger all the time! It gets tired fast! Right now, 4500 mAh is minimum to have for any phone users. If SE is $500 with all day battery juice, it's going to be a big sale. Every other upgrade is just icing on the cake that most people avoid eating anyway!
Would the new SE able to house a 4500mah battery? 3000mah would still be doable for this phone.

If the screen refresh rate is 90Hs and Battery is more than 3000 mAh(with 25W charger support),than it will be a good choice.
6.9 inch yeah it’s bigger than it’s ever been sure it is so that part is the truth and not a lie but however it’s not some magnificent change size dimension compared to 6.7 and not very a noticeable difference and essentially the same size

You shouldn't have to turn your face and full attention to your device to use it.
You shouldn't have to wake yourself up at 4am by staring at the light, or take your eyes off the road when driving to execute a simple sidekick task.
I hate face I.D.

It is apple’s blunder in the release of iphone se3, if they used iphone x model, they may be able to get away with it on SE4, but now they have no choice but to use newer iphone model.

There’s no way apple would give the SE4 the same processor as the latest flagship model. Apple’s brand new AI on a budget 499 apple device? You might be dreaming. USB C is surely happening since it’s now a requirement. Action button is unlikely especially if they’re using an iPhone 13/14 chassis.

Cause, its not like the second best choice is any better with changing its looks, both knows they have a good design already. Plus Face ID, wouldn't be safe if I could just grab a piece of paper of my face and unlock it (Sensors really matter in this case). So its rather Face ID or Fingerprint Scanner. So I would rather choose the one I already have.
(Also I think you're talking about the flagships, because theres nothing similar from the SE 3 and SE 4.)
@@ToPa627 dude, I have been purchasing iPhones since it first came out and it looks and feels the same. The only thing that made an iPhone different than the rest, was when we had jailbreaking / Cydia and now that jailbreaking is dead, it’s just a phone.
People get so happy when Apple brings out tweaks they stolen from the jailbreaking jailbreak community and that’s not cool.
All I am trying to say is we need to hold Apple accountable for giving us the same crap every year. We need to stop supporting them because they can do so much better for the prices they are asking for.

That aside, Face it, the phone industry currently cares little about the design of the phone itself, all innovation is going towards specs This isn’t an Apple thing. It’s an industry thing. There’s no reason for any brands to stray far from this design right now. Get it or don’t, but that’s facts. Expect phones to stop looking the same again when specs like camera, screen, battery etc isn’t JUST the main focus anymore. Compare phones from 10, 20 years ago to what we have now across ALL brands and you’ll see what I mean.
