Giorgio Mastrotta is well known in Italy for selling in TV pots and mattresses since the eighties (he never stopped though), the collaboration with NanowaR of steel started when they wrote the song “Giorgio Mastrotta lord of Inox 18/10” making a joke about Heavy Metal, Inox Steel and pots and pans. Suggested it is a good song. Mastrotta was not offended and decided to collaborate with them singing in live concerts.
It all began in 2019. Nanowar decided to write a new song with the fans and clashed some convoluted, random titles one against the other. After the winners was established (La Polenta Taragnarock), on stream gathered chat suggestions for the lyrics of the song and, OOOH boy, it's stuffed with Italian pop/cultural references. In essence the song describe the properties (true and exasperated) of the Polenta surrounded by references to actual commercials and famous songs. Lastly, as the song end, there is the reproposition of Da Vinci's "Last Supper" but with only 12 people because on Italiy been in 13 at a meal table is omen of extremely bad luck (it's almost a rule not to be "13 a tavola").
The guy playing the bagpipes in this video is Maurizio Cardullo, a producer, studio owner and multi instrumentalist from Milan/Italy. He also co produced Norwegian Reggaeton and Italian Folk Metal, and he also played in the other band of NoS guitarrist Mohammed Abdul, BardoMagno. You might like a look at the song/video for BardoMagno's song Nel mio feudo with him. It is hilarious and has English subtitles.
If you loved the bagpipes you gotta check out Folkstone! They are a band from northern Italy, and they mostly sing in Italian, sadly, but this song is paying homage to their style, and around the interned you might find some good english translation for Folkstone.
May I suggest you to check their new songs? “Winterstorm in the Night” and “Disco Metal”? They keep getting better but I would like to know what you think.

Vi consiglio "magister Barbero" dei Bardo Magno
Of the new album, you must listen to "il signore degli anelli dello stadio"
It's a Song about the lord of the Rings using stadium choirs...
