The bassist of Nanowar of steel worked at a university in Jerusalem and speaks Hebrew fluently. He actually, as far as I know, speaks 10 languages fluently.
Systambolaget is the national Swedish liquor store. The Swedish items they are singing at the end are furniture items from the IKEA catalog. Falen Amen is a play on words. Falegname is Italian for carpenter. When this album first came out the band tried to do shows in IKEA stores but were turned down. Instead they had unofficial meet ups with their fans in the stores and hid band merch around the store for their fans to find.
I don't think they ever asked Ikea, actually. They just did stuff in their stores and were often kicked out for basically doing treasure hunts inside the store.
A couple of trivia: The joke about Sasha Grey is more layered than it may seems. Sasha is a brand of bed frame (like kinsa is an Ikea bed frame). Both Sasha and Kinsa come in grey too. Amon amarth and Hammerfall (the guitar tech contributors) are swedish too, and systembulaget is the swdish sets of state shop where you can buy alcoholic drinks. By the way, Nanowar have a song with the singer of Steel Panther (the astronomical Uranus). And I strongly adivise you to check Glory Hammer
Excellent video! There are literally dozens of reaction-videos to this one, but you are the first one to explain the Hebrew-references. Kudos for that!
Since you like to get all the references, here's some more Trivia. - the movie playing on the tv in the background is Trading Places, that's aired every Xmas Eve in Italy - there was a scandal some time ago about finfing some not declared horse meat in the famous Ikea's meatballs - collecting pencilsfrom Ikea is very common for Swedish children - Swedish metal bands Amon Amarth and Hammerfall seem to hate each other - some scenes are quote from The Blues Brothers - the solo on a cliff is a parody of November Rain video - finalky the most interesting point IMHO, if you think about it Odin changes from cruel and mean in the first half of the song to friendly and caring in the Second half... As it happens in christan Bible, if you confront the Old Testament and the New Testament.
SOBER by Nanowar is extremely similar to " I'll sue ya" by Weird Al in that it is a style parody of another band with the message being the opposite of what that band usually say. Alestorm sing about drinking all the time, so a song about Sober pirates is a great pisstake.
Love watching you, you have the brains to understand the jokes, like the Hebrew part..first time ive seen anyone really get it! And that makes me happy.
Check out the vocal coaches that also have been reacting to this song, they ALWAYS react to that note 🙂 (they wouldn't be that good at their job otherwise)
Who has more steel than Manowar? An IRONMONGER! That's the next Nanowar you don't know you need, even if It's a lyric video.💕 Totally worth It for a Manowar fan.
I was waiting for you to do this reaction. Watching now... EDIT: That Hebrew part had me on the floor. Everything is so freaking random and yet... it all fits together. This is as metal as it gets!!
I also like the riff. I was astounded when Mohammed Abdul said, that the riff had been written by Uinona Raider, the drummer. But I think Uinona Raider plays several instruments, as he has studied music. :D

I'm so happy to find someone who gets all their references, and I think you're the first one I saw getting the Shema Israel reference. GattoPanceri666 (the founder and bassist of the band) is an astrophysicist, he lived for a while in Israel in Tel Aviv when he was there researching and teaching! He speaks like 10 languages fluently and many songs has sentencies in different languague ☺
Got to this video late but I had to comment it's a piece of art 😂 I'm also jewish and those lyrics in Hebrew got me laughing hard the first time. They are so good at this.
Fun fact (that someone might have already posted): the bass player for the band is an actual astrophysicist, and he speaks around 10 languages, including Hebrew
the swedish words are actually Ikea's products BTW the video was made on a very tight budget , all locations are places in Rome where some of the band's memeber has a friend working in and they let them in to do the shots for free

Actually my first time on this one. It's brilliant! As for their guest vocalist you're seeing a lot of him, he was in Warriors of the World too. If you like this sort of thing check out Leo from Frog Leap Studios, you won't be disappointed. Great reaction!
Someone shared this in the official Nanowar of Steel fangroup on facebook and I see you react to many bands I love, I will definitely check out a lot of your videos

I'm not usually a fan of Viking/Scandinavian Metal. But this band is awesome! Don't get me wrong. Have great respect for their technical musical talent. Just don't feel it. Sabaton for example is very. Very. Talented. And as a history junky I love the historic themes of their songs. Great band. But I don't put on one of their albums when I'm cooking dinner. Like I do Zeppellin or Band Maid. This band I might actually do that. They're having fun and obviously are enjoying themselves. Not taking themselves too seriously. This was fun! Thanks Brother!😊😎✌🤘
