Thank you for this post. I have a very similar issues in reference to my Mégane. Puddle of Oil on top above the gear box up under/next to the thermostat. If cleaned the top of engine with degreaser. I've not looked underneath yet! What were the name of the 'O' rings or part number you used in the video.. thanks
Hi ya mate I had trouble getting the o rings when I rang reno and told them I needed a pcv o ring they didn’t know what I meant they emailed me a diagram and I had to circle what it was and send them it back so I’m not to sure on the term that Reno would use and if you have a puddle of oil on the gearbox check you’re thermostat housing they have a oil way running through it (strange I know) they are prone to warping and leaking the exact same thing has happened to mine I replaced mine with a aluminium one video coming soon on that
@@manlikeliam5717 .. Awesome! I had replaced the thermostat a while back before I noticed "Oil leak". When I replaced thermostat, the thermstat gauge didn't match, slightly so had to use orginal. Which is not 100% snug fit. I have a feeling that is the cause. Unfortunately the "recommend" parts at EURO CP never match my vehicle! Even for basic service parts! But I'm no adverse to changing thermostat it again to prevent this pudding. The smell of the oil is slightly sweet, so image it's a little coolant. Didn't even know they did aluminium housing! Much appreciated this video really helped!
what's the flashing red light on the dash at the end of your vid
