- Through my journey I have learned that I am not perfect and its ok to grow from one mistakes. I have learned that others will try to judge you, but only the Great Spirit can do so. I have learned that to open my heart may hurt, but it is the Great Spirit that heals. I have learned that my faults are lessons learned and taught to others. I have learned that no human being is reliable if they do not believe they are so. I have learned to trust what is good. I have learned that running from a problem will only make others suffer. I have learned to bring others before me, open my arms to them and allow them to share my abundance. I have learned I am still learning. I have learned that what I have learned from my elders I must share with the young. I have learned that being selfish does not make me better, it makes me weaker. In my journey, I have learned that to grieve is not selfish. To grieve is a way of passing. It is a way of growth. Allowing the loved one to move on, the heart that grieves, takes time to heal through its grief. I have learned many things on my journey, and I will continue to open my heart, and my soul, so that my spirit will rest when it crosses over.
This is the road that was chosen for me, and it is a road I choose freely.
My own heart tells me that the Red Road is a personal journey
to be shared. Many may agree or disagree. I believe that to walk the Red Road your heart has to be open to fault. You see with your soul, your mind is open to pain, and you are guided by your ancestors. The Great Spirit speaks thru them and thru them you learn what task you must complete before it is your turn to cross over.
Many times in our lives we rely upon Elders to help us with questions we have. Seeking out truth and knowledge is a part of our ways. We often talk to our ownselves and this is normal because we are speaking to Creator and the Ancestors before us. Sometimes we receive answers right away, sometimes Creator says wait, and sometimes Creator says no it is not going to happen. So how we accept these answers is how we walk in daily life. We can walk with a grudge or we can walk with Love to help others and get out of self.

Love it - well worth the watch/listen ... step back, reflect, remember, acknowledge, value and re-gift deeper understanding for our world and one another ... moving away from the hate, fear and division based on superficial differences based on appearance and beliefs ... stopping the destruction of our beautiful home, our mother earth ... honoring our past, opening to a new future, and redefining who we are in the present. May we all open our hearts and minds to this necessity now.
Wow ,it hasn't been long since I started this journey into learning more about Native American Indians, and learned of the story teller Robbie Robertson and as I began watching this video I knew it was Robbie singing the song or story should I say I've learned a lot about listening to elders because they know the right way , I spend a lot of my time with Mother Earth fishing in the streams and my best friend is my dog I go into the forest and think about the Indians and how right their ways were and what a tragic in life was when white man populated the forest instead of the native Americans , I'm so glad there are a few natives around that maybe one day life on earth will be as rewarding as it was before greed this we may all learn through the teachings of the elders stories that men like Robbie can pass on to people like myself and we may learn and I pray for that. Until than I try to take care of Mother Earth and the animals she provides for us . Thank Robbie an all your ancestors before you and passed on the right way of life.
Every time I watch the native American way of life, the eagles, the bisons and all about north america, I feel I lived there in past lives. I love the native americans dances.
The elders knew we would destroy Mother Earth...true spirit in the words..
The Elders knew the ways of the world,
but their words fell on deaf ears.
We need 2 get back 2 the ways of Our Elders... The Pathway that is... Right...for us
ALL..
This is a beautiful video, it adds depth and meaning to this beautiful song. It also honours Robbie Robertson's First Nation roots. Well done, thanks. Hail to the dreamers and believers who still hope to change the world.
Inspirational

Thank you for this video. Very well done and very touching.
what a amazing creatures. what have we done to our people
Many people are doing a lot to conserve nature and bald eagles. Obama did not. He had many killed. Many good people in TN and KY rescue them. They have reserves where they help the injured animals and return them to the wild.
What a gem of a vid. Pics magnificent. That Eagle and its power and wing span of wow-ness as it rides the wind currents; the Indians and their native dress and culture that beings tried to make them forget. Ridiculous. Lovely showing some of the dances and ritual ceremonial dances. Most delightful. Blessing for the sharing of this with humanity; the song is lovely and beautifully preformed. :-))) Happy I clicked here to see. :-)))
O my . Wado just breathtaking.
Breathtaking scenes Many Blessings to you, and to Robbie :)

Great song by Robbie Robertson
According to Lakota legend, the pipe was brought to earth 19 generations ago by White Buffalo Calf Woman, at a time when the seven tribes of the Lakota nation had gathered in council, and were starving because they were having no luck hunting. White Buffalo Calf Woman came to the people and instructed them about living in balance with nature, and about the sacred directions. She also taught them all the things they needed to know about making, handling and caring for the pipe, and about how it is to be used for praying. When the pipe was used properly to ask the buffalo to sacrifice himself so that the people could eat, the buffalo returned and the people were able to eat well.
The most wonderful culture ,on earth

@karrezza...Please, just open up your heart and watch again. I thought the same thing at first. I thought the song was great, but, just didn't fit the images, then I listened to the words and relaxed, and it began to work for me. It still may not work as well as some flute, etc., but worth a try. I hope you mean the combination, because I think the record is also great on it's own. Images superb. Horses gone now, but I still got my saddle. Thank you
I'm afraid not, my friend.
The bullet nearly hit the side of my skull, and
left a fractured-jaw. I'd had a vast amount of blood-loss, as well as
temporary-blindness. I am
now re-cooperated. Meh, i really find it hard
to believe that McDougal left me at Bearclaw camp, with the
other-bodies, assuming i was dead. Hmm, then again,
i suppose you could say, somethings never change.
