Omega and Swatch now have to announce the online availability date as soon as possible in order to stop the flippers. If some of the crazy people in these queues are mad enough to buy outside the stores from the flippers at ridiculous prices then I have to say they deserve to be ripped off.

People camped outside the store from 8pm the previous night and people walking out of the store were immediately selling the watch to the one's back in the line for 3 to 4 times the price.
I agree with you that Omega is building up their future clients through this collab with Swatch. I would say the launch is very successful for both Brands. Just be patience everyone, we will get the Moonswatch of our choice. Meanwhile enjoy what you have now. 😀
I fully agree with you it's a fun thing and good long run. I was at the store at 5am in Madrid. Did not get one. Speculators were waiting a day before wow!! Still had fun talking watches with others in the crowd .
Was in downtown Montreal (Canada) this morning to see if I can buy one but the queue was insane at least 500+ people waiting and many seemed like they camped out too 😆. It’s a nice fun watch but waiting in line for hours on end not my thing. I’ll wait for the online release not in a hurry at all!

The day before the start of sales I was in the Swatch store to get some information from the saleswoman. The phone rang like 100 times during the period I was there and everyone asked for this Watch. She also told me that some customers will be waiting at 6 a.m. I want to say that the start of sales was known for a long time and you had enough time to get some information. With the information I gathered I was more than aware that there would be such a rush. Me and a friend were there at 6am waitet 3hours and both got a Mission to Moon.

I walked passed a Swatch store while on my way to get groceries. The amount of people queueing is insane. Posted the (short) video on my channel. Luckily they queued very neatly, albeit there were police officers making sure everything went smoothly

Most stores had only around 200 pieces for sale while thousands were waiting outside. The good news is that it is not a limited edition and will be available on the internet in a few weeks time. Friend of mine who works for SWATCH marketing told me they expect to sell at least 3 million pieces. Just do the math. This is the best marketing launch of a product that is not in limited edition.
I think online they will sell out in minutes. If thousands of people were already waiting in front of the Swatch Stores, hundreds of thousands will be "waiting in front" of the online shops. demand is too high and the prices on Ebay come about because there are always those who buy at these prices. What can the seller do if the watch is bid up to 1500?

The video of the crowd running was likely not in China because every Swatch store in China was prevented from putting the MoonSwatches on sale at all so far. This information was posted on a piece of paper taped to the doors by Swatch corp. on the select stores there. Swatch agreed not to have the watches available for sale there as previously expected at the request of the government due to fears of crowds because of ongoing COVID issues. The in-stock MoonSwatches are just sitting there until at some unknown point they'll be allowed to go on sale.
in my country..it became a famous issue because a potential buyer got angry when the police mending the crowd shouted at him and cut him off from the queue. The man got so angry, he was literally yelling back at the police by saying, come shoot me..fyi..this man has been queuing early at 4am, hence, he was so mad about it

I'm in Istanbul, the three Swatch outlets selling them, Forum Istanbul, Mall of Istanbul, Akasya Istanbul, had no queues at all. We called Forum Istanbul this afternoon, they said come tomorrow if you want one we have all the models. The only other place I know had no queues,was Las Vegas, it was empty when it opened. Not everyone was stupid enough to fall for the hype. Particularly with online global sales starting soon.

Swatex is following the model set by Rolex. The grey market money and greed again is unchecked. As you as well as Austin Daniel's in Japan has shown the chaos created by greed. Greedy flippers have now moved into the area that should be an entry level market and made it out of reach for the very clients it was meant for.
But they need a future customer base, imagine Rolex selling always to same people and suddenly those people are gone and the rest hates the brand. They have to take care of future generations as well.
It wouldn't been so offensive had they made people buy them directly on-line so they could make costumers register themselves first thereby avoiding so many flippers.

I actually do not agree that flippers are greedy. The people who want to buy these flipped unlimited releases are the greedy ones, for attention. I myself just wait at home til these watches are released online. Easy to order, no risk of getting viruses in a queue.
Actually, human greed and panic is pretty repulsive. Maybe a lot of those rushing the stores are the flippers anticipating huge financial return, but a number I assume are those simply desperate to have a this simple quartz watch. Even as a watch enthusiast, as most of us watching this are, I just don’t get it. If my family were starving I could see that level of desperation, but short of that, it’s pretty disgusting.

I'm laughing so hard at those people willing to pay $2500 for a plastic Swatch watch while wearing my seamaster and speedmaster, one on each wrist drinking my coffee in my underwear. Lol I'll wait a few weeks to buy these for my kids since they want one.

I'm in Istanbul, the three Swatch outlets selling them, Forum Istanbul, Mall of Istanbul, Akasya Istanbul, had no queues at all. We called Forum Istanbul this afternoon, they said come tomorrow if you want one we have all the models. The only other place I know had no queues,was Las Vegas, it was empty when it opened. Not everyone was stupid enough to fall for the hype. Particularly with online global sales starting soon.

Swatex is following the model set by Rolex. The grey market money and greed again is unchecked. As you as well as Austin Daniel's in Japan has shown the chaos created by greed. Greedy flippers have now moved into the area that should be an entry level market and made it out of reach for the very clients it was meant for.

The interesting thing about this is how the conglomerate manages the masses, if you realize, even people with experience have fallen for the crook, they have handled the propaganda well, obviously, it is about Swatch, which is not bad, but a certain part of the community has gotten carried away, it's a shame, because I don't think this piece is worth what it costs, and it's not about owning something just because, well, it's everyone's money, it's respectable, but in this environment of Horology enthusiasts, tread carefully, I think there are better options out there with more value for your money. I actually do not agree that flippers are greedy. The people who want to buy these flipped unlimited releases are the greedy ones, for attention. I myself just wait at home til these watches are released online. Easy to order, no risk of getting viruses in a queue.

Actually, human greed and panic is pretty repulsive. Maybe a lot of those rushing the stores are the flippers anticipating huge financial return, but a number I assume are those simply desperate to have a this simple quartz watch. Even as a watch enthusiast, as most of us watching this are, I just don’t get it. If my family were starving I could see that level of desperation, but short of that, it’s pretty disgusting.
I think the interest created by Omega/swatch is awesome. Scalping though is rubbish
