Some people confuse Tyrannosaurus Rex's 1910s design as Allosaurus because of the thumb on each hand, which makes it look like it had three fingers like Allosaurus, although the Rex from King Kong is based on the 1910s design from Retro VS Modern, Ray Harryhausen's T-Rex design from 'Evolution', and Charles R. Knight's T-Rex design. Good thing it was larger than Allosaurus.
The T-rex was among the prehistoric creatures living on Skull Island in 1933. As King Kong was travelling across Skull Island with his "bride," Ann Darrow, he realised that the crew of the Venture were following him, so he set Ann down atop a tree while he went to attack the expedition. While Kong was distracted by this, the T-rex, which was walking by in the jungle, came into view of Ann Darrow. Horrified by the sight of it, Ann screamed, which only attracted the beast's attention. The beast then approached the dead tree intent on eating her. After hearing Ann's screams, Kong rushed to her aid and tackled the dinosaur. After a long and drawn-out battle, Kong climbed on the dinosaur's back and snapped the T-rex's jaws, incapacitating it, before continuing on his way with Ann. A short time later, Jack Driscoll encountered the T-rex, still breathing but barely alive. As he watched, the dinosaur finally died.
Meat Eater feats: Fought King Kong, who is estimated to be around 18 to 24 feet tall. He puts up quite a fight. Then soon dies to Kong’s method of killing: jaw-breaking.
Super cool looking Dinosaur, such an awesome design, some have said it was either an allosaurus or tyrannosaurus, but based on the fact this carnivorous theropod is living on skull island and the species has survived to the present, I would say it would be optimal to call it a skull island carnosaur, though the popular name, meat eater should also suffice, as well as any name really such as a skull island tyrannosaur or allosaur. Also it’s really cool that the meat eater aka the skull island carnosaur design is what inspired gorosaurus from Godzilla and toho King Kong. You can definitely see the similarities in the design.
Ann should’ve stand still and not make a sound when the Tyrannosaurus Rex came by while she was on the tree, I think she only screamed and accidentally attracting the Rex's attention, because she was frightened by the dinosaur that came front of her.
@@thejoker15678 The reconstructions of Allosaurus and T.Rex from 1910s are very similar, so it's very hard to tell them apart, anyway we'll never know who it really was.
Wasn’t the 1910s Construction of Allosaurus smaller, slightly thinner, and its arms were much useful? In Planet of Dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurus Rex correctly had two fingers and was slightly thicker and bigger, and the Allosaurus in Planet of Dinosaurs had three fingers and long useful arms and was smaller than Tyrannosaurus.
It's a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it is too big to be Allosaurus, and its arms are short, it is based on 1910s construction of Tyrannosaurus Rex and Charles R. Knight's T-Rex Art.
According to official Godzilla fandom wiki, it was a Tyrannosaurus Rex, it lacked crests, had small arms and it is way bigger! Allosaurus does not have small arms, and it had crests that are like horns and a Browridge.
@@thejoker15678 By the way, I googled it and found something: aside from the special effects, Willis O'Brien also wrote the script for this movie and in his script this theropod is labeled as an Allosaurus, even though the director of the movie, Marian Cooper, said it was a Tyrannosaurus, the reason for this was because that Willis O'Brien didn't distinguish Allosaurus from Tyrannosaurus, so in his works these concepts are usually interchangeable.
This scene is always fun to watch. It never gets old.
Thanks, Tyrannosaurus is still giving lots of Media, from series and films, books and toys, Ya know?

Tyrannosaurus Rex is the bomb! HAHAHA!

It’s fun to see T-Rex in its 1910s Construction in King Kong! Never gets old seeing a famous dinosaur!
Meat Eater.
1933 King Kong is a classic
Your Right
Meat Eater feats: Fought King Kong, who is estimated to be around 18 to 24 feet tall. He puts up quite a fight. Then soon dies to Kong’s method of killing: jaw-breaking.
I don’t get it, why is there no music in the scene where Kong and T-Rex duke it out?
So you can hear all the fight noises: the grunting, roaring, moaning, growling, wrestling etc
There was nothing to distract you from the intensity of the fight.
So, that’s it? Nothing to distract me from the intensity of the fight?
Kong is fucking byte T-rex eyes off one by one before the neck snap fatality!

its either an Tyrannosaurus or an allosaurus
Director, Cooper says that this Meat-Eater as a Allosaurus, while O' Briand & Marcel saying that this guy is a Tyrannosaurus.
Well, the theropod more closely resembles the Tyrannosaurus Rex, slightly thicker and bigger.

Best ever T-rex or Allosaurus?
Meat Eater
What if the T-Rex from King Kong 1933 was referred as Gwangira
The the T-Rex doesn't walk upright straight
The roars are cougar noises
Godzilla vs Kong
This creature is actually an Allosaurus
