I know there is much rivalry between tigers and lions but can we all agree that they’re insanely captivating and just perfect beasts. I can’t decide who I prefer and I don’t need to. Just listening to these roars give me primal chills. Massive roaring beasts. No wonder they’re the main attraction for anything they’re in. Humans love Big Cats

Each feline species has a unique variation of sound both beautiful, cute, and terrifying. The menacing growl of the tiger to the adorable purring and meowing of a cheetah or house cat. From what I understand despite being sizable cheetas aren't part of the family were most of the big cats are found and that's why they can't roar, that is more of a panthera thing.

Many Hollywood productions tend to use modified tiger roars/growls for lion vocalizations to make them sound more powerful, similar to red-tailed hawk cries for eagles. Edit: cougars are the largest cats that can meow and purr like house cats.
Not roar..lions have the most powerful roar…they however use tiger/leopard “growl” for movies like lion king..lions do growl but not much often and sounds too deep like an broken engine which not they are loooking for..learn the difference before commenting

My heart swelled with love for each of them omg. I've loved all big cats and small cats since I was little, and it depresses me each day to think of any of them going extinct, or remembering that some have already been snuffed out by human greed. But I appreciate people like you who are passionate about documenting these lovely animals. More than half can kill me, and all of them can do some damage (even housecats in my experience lol) but I would happily give all the money in the world possible to preserve their lives. I can't imagine living in the wild several thousand years ago and hearing a lion or a tiger. I would be scared to death. All the cats are beautiful and cute, but also super frightening when they are angry. They can really put on a mean face.

Yall don't know fear until you hear a bobcat scream. Where I live there are tons of them one night I was out camping with some friends, would've thought a woman was dying its horrifying. Especially when you gotta make the call if its human or not, or if the sound is close.

My heart swelled with love for each of them omg. I've loved all big cats and small cats since I was little, and it depresses me each day to think of any of them going extinct, or remembering that some have already been snuffed out by human greed. But I appreciate people like you who are passionate about documenting these lovely animals. More than half can kill me, and all of them can do some damage (even housecats in my experience lol) but I would happily give all the money in the world possible to preserve their lives. The tiger growl is terrifying. Another interesting thing is that many cat animals have quite cute meowing, and moutain lions also do it but somehow it is really unsettling.

I can't imagine living in the wild several thousand years ago and hearing a lion or a tiger. I would be scared to death. All the cats are beautiful and cute, but also super frightening when they are angry. They can really put on a mean face.

Yall don't know fear until you hear a bobcat scream. Where I live there are tons of them one night I was out camping with some friends, would've thought a woman was dying its horrifying. Especially when you gotta make the call if its human or not, or if the sound is close.
