The wonderful thing about videotaping and taking pictures for your blog? You can always go back and visit the page before you covered it up! You can “have your cake and it, too.” You could even print it out and put it in your art journal! I used to have a hard time letting go of my artist trading cards, but now I’m usually happy with just having a photo. Happy creating, Carolyn! :)
OMG! You should have heard me squeal when you lifted the butterfly. Love it. I'm glad to see you with that large journal. I also purchased a larger journal than most people use. Go big or go home. Thanks again for posting. 😊
BRILLIANT! I loved that background as well and shuddered at covering it up but ignoring that voice was just the right thing to do. It's almost like showing less of the background features it even more. The word choice was perfect and the whole page was a gem!
This is a great video. As a new artist I feel this anxiety everytime I start changing something that looks good. It's scary to push yourself further but usually worth it!
Hi Carolyn! Tried leaving a thought on part 1 but ... my fingers went oops ... so here goes. Both layouts were amazing (and such excellent - & inexpensive - art therapy)! I think I'll try something like this while lying on the floor (since hubby & I live in a small apartment) and different body positions often help reduce stress. Since I don't own an awesome mega-ledger, I guess gessoed tag board will have to do for me. Thanks for all you share and are! Can't wait to purchase some of your stencil girl designs.
Beautiful page - I am taking that FREE class - my neighbor has signed up too - we are getting Messy - and playing as often as we can - I have my permission slip done and framed! Whoot Whoot! TFS
LOL. I love your conversations with yourself! What I great idea using the identity roller! I have a couple of them. They do run out of ink fast though so may not get to many giant words but they are so cheap now. I got mine from QVC a few years ago but I saw them at Michael's and Joann last holiday season. Thanks for sharing.
What a delightful video, you are so inspiring...wish we could go have a cup of tea together sometime...I just found you by chance and am looking forward to watching more of your videos...I just started art journaling this week so I am looking to find ideas and I just love this one...thanks again, keep on sparkling!!!
Very nice! The inner child in me still wants splatters on the page, though! :-) I was looking forward to seeing how you dealt with part two of the video.

Just fantastic, Carolyn!!!

Carolyn! I was freaking out too - as you covered up that gorgeous page :D - but it turned out fantastic. love that roller!
It does add to the adventure when part of us freaks out, doesn't it Bev!

Absolutely do it with whatever you have on hand and in any position that feels comfortable!

Love the butterflies! I don’t think I could be so brave, but it was nice to see you do it. 😀
It was extreme sport kind of rush to cover it up Debbie! Fun and exhilarating all in one!

Splatters are always fun- expected the muse to guide me to them again but the muse does what it wants Jill!
*Jaw Drops* That is a GORGEOUS Page! WOW!
It was worth covering up that beautiful background.
And cool way to use a stamp and stencil together. =)
Thanks Phoebe, this is one where I love it both ways -the background and covered up.
Yeah! =)
