    Great video! My family has been swimming here weekly for years, so it's great to see the view below and the deeper bottom. This lake is spring fed, so thus stays chilly year round, especially deeper. And it's part of the headwaters system of the Norwalk River.

    Thank you for posting this video. As a kid, I learned to swim at this pond with my grandmother. It brings back some great memories. The tarp material, at the beginning of the video, was placed down to keep the weeds out of the swimming area. You can see how prolific these weeds are in the rest of the pond and they were trying to keep one area clear.

      i live in ridgefield i laened to swim and still swim in fitsgeralds field

    This is so cool. I lived a half-mile up the hill (Picketts Ridge Rd) from 1977 to 1985.

    thats interesting. i always wondered what the local ponds looked like, but i've never considered actually diving one. what kind of camera do you use?

    Snapping turtles aren't so mean when they are underwater...its when they get on land...Ive swum with 2 or 3 over the years in lake George. There is no mistaking their claws and snout.
