18.5 mpg, this would be a nice motor in the four runner or any of the v6 trucks out there. what an awesome sound, The Armada goes on the lottery I'd buy it list. nice review as always EA.
I like the direction that Nissan is going with their products. My wife is really wanting a new Pathfinder and I showed her your video. I think Nissans design team could do an excellent job with a completely new Armada design that favors the Pathfinder to compete against the Tahoe and Expedition.
I am finally getting one of these it looks like. They make an "S" trim with fewer bells and whistles again (not something most reviewers except maybe this one, would be interested in) and the end of year incentives are crazy. The MSRP is only 55k to begin with and the end of year incentives are huge this year (supposedly an update is coming). It may never be this affordable again to buy a Nissan patrol new (albeit a decontended one). The "S" I am looking at still has LED headlights, 360 degree camera though. But the stereo is only 4 speaker, the rear view mirror is manual, the outside mirrors are still heated. Exactly the simple but incredible sturdy, high mechanical content lifetime durability SUV one would want. And I am paying less than a new Pathfinder or 4Runner, for brand new full size V8 body-on-frame 4x4 goodness.!! 🥰
Thanks for watching and commenting. Just finished editing the off-road video and it certainly has interesting results with the traction control system.
Can anybody tell me if all the back seats can lay flat and/or can be removed so the cargo space is flat? i.e. can you roll out a sleeping bag bag there for a 6 ft guy?
The seats lay flat ish. They are angled upwards toward the front (which might keep your head elevated on uneven ground) and the middle row center console does stick up a little bit. I would say it's totally doable.
Yeah, over a decade old at this point, of course it has had some minor refresh updates. It is definitely time for a complete redesign if Nissan wants to keep up with the Land Cruiser/LX.

I really like the Armada, it's just missing that little bit extra the Patrol has!
Yup, the Armada/ Patrol is a beautiful vehicle. The Aussie s do amazing things with them for off roading.

Thanks for sharing! I hope it all works out for you!
The Nissan Armada is basically the American Patrol, very popular in the Gulf especially the UAE, Saudi and Qatar.
Thanks for sharing!
Looking forward to the off-road video. 🙂

@@EngineAdventures you're welcome Sir! God bless you!
pls do the offroad review of Subaru XV
I'll see if I can get one. I do want to test one with a manual transmission!
They are made in Japan…except for the motor, that’s the final thing assembled in the US.
Thanks, I figured it was something like that but couldn't find the exact info.

It’s an ancient model compared to other makes.
