5 neat tips for formatting Microsoft Word tables - Part 1

Working with Word tables can be quite tricky, so we put together a short tutorial for 5 most common Table frustrations, including:
- How to deal with text or cell spreading outside the page margins.
- How to automatically adjust table columns to fit to content
- How to make all rows in a table the same height
- How to stop a table row from splitting over two pages
- How to set the space between text and table borders

Minh, Thank you so much for helping me to solve my weekly schedule. I was having a problem that my table showed only Monday to Friday, and wanted Monday to Sunday and it had an extra page I couldn't delete . I searched on UA-cam on how to delete an extra page, I followed the directions but didn't delete. I found your video and you explained what to do when the table is spread beyond the page that was exactly my problem. The good thing is that by fixing my table to fit to window the extra page despair. I felt that I was in a college computer writing lab and you were the tutor. You made my day!!!!

Thanks Minh - you solved my problem (the last one that starts at 3:34) to eliminating a large amount of blank space within a column in my Word Table by showing that I needed to untick the default option within Tables that allows text to break across pages (because using the delete or back space button on the keyboard did not to work). I searched the internet for about 30 minutes and yours was the first simple solution I found that looked right and it was! Thanks again.
