MY AUDIO EQUIPMENT:
Zoom H1n digital recorder: amzn.to/2VxOVHR
Rode Smartlav: amzn.to/2VsYise
I use this combination to get outstanding audio, which I then sync to the videos in post.
Blue Yeti: amzn.to/2VuHscv
This is my choice for when I record screencast tutorials; it records the voice directly into the screen recording.
MY VIDEO EQUIPMENT:
Sony AX700: amzn.to/2ECX6wC
I use a camcorder instead of a DSLR because I often record live shows of more than an hour, and a DSLR has a 30-minute shoot limit.
Sony CX260: amzn.to/2T30IRz
This is a VERY LIGHTWEIGHT camera - less than 1 pound (my version is a 2011 model PJ260V) - that still shoots great HD video many years later. This is the camera I carry when on vacation with my family because of how easy it is to keep in my hand all day long. It takes great 5MP stills as well as video.
GoPro Hero6 Black: amzn.to/2SzdtOu
Super tiny portable, with HD and wide-angle lens. Great for those crazy-angle shots you can’t get any other way.

Dude, very very helpful I was the table positioning thing just saved my bacon, it's upped the professionalism of my documents now, thank you
Glad it helped! Thanks for the comment, and take care.
Thank you. This was clearly and consciously presented! A big help to me
Thanks, Rich! I've even come back to this video myself to remember how to do things!
Thanks! I hate tables a little less now. It's a lot of information to process, so when I can find the time, I'll have to do a lot of experimenting and practicing! You were right. I knew some of these tips, but not all of them!
Experimenting and practicing with tables is a good way to become much more knowledgeable about them, and maybe some day, even come to enjoy them! 😄 Thanks for your comment and take care.
I use "header rows" in Word documents ALL the time as a graphic designer working on many client projects. your comment is limiting/limited to your use only - but I appreciated your information on it.
I'm glad you are able to find clients for this kind of work. Thanks for the comment.
Clearly explained, easy to follow examples, provides the valued why with alternatives

This has been one of the most intricate videos I've made. It took about two weeks of processing, AFTER recording the narration. I sure hope some people find it to be worth all that effort - effort expended to make it EASY to follow and understand.
Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad you found it helpful - it took quite a while to put this one together. Comments like this make me glad I did.
Thank you David, very useful :-)
I appreciate the comment. As you could tell, this was quite an involved video to make - it was a challenge to strike a balance between explaining just enough and not making it too much. It was also fun for me because I learned some new things myself while I was making the video!
Yes, I love it! Thanks !
You'e welcome! And I thought this video would get more views, but evidently this topic has a smaller audience . No matter, I'm happy to help whoever needs it.

Thank you, sir, I have shortened a lot of research and effort into one short video. Great video worth watching, I'll tick like and subscribe to the channel
But I have a simple question how can I move tables freely anywhere I don't mean going in 14:51 minutes
Thanks so much! So glad I could help!
Thank you for posting this video. I did learn a few tips. I am trying to find out how to format numbers in a table as done in Excel and not successful. Can you share how to format numbers in a Word Table as an Accounting format or other formats, when not using a formula in the table? thanks
I'm glad it was at least somewhat helpful. I'm sorry, I don't know if there's a way to do that. I haven't found one, but that might mean we just haven't found it yet.
@@DavidsTutorials Thank you for responding back. If you ever find a way, please let me know. Thanks
Is it possible to apply a macro to tables in Word? I want to automatically have the words that are pasted in the table go to all UPPERCASE then, set the font size and color, align-center left, distribute rows, AutoFit contents, and AutoFit window. I can do all this manually but I haven't had any luck making it a macro.
Yes, I'm sure you can do that. While I AM an expert in VBA for MS Access, i am NOT an expert in VBA Macros for Word. However, a very good resource is tips.net, where Alan has two free newsletters (Word 2013 and newer, and older), and offers a very well done course on how to develop macros in Word. Hope this helps.
I am unable to select rows in a table on one computer but I can on another computer using the same file. Same version of Mac Word on both computers. Any suggestions?
Hi, Barbara - I'm so sorry, I am not a MAC expert. I do know that Microsoft and Apple have always had trouble getting along (in more ways than one). I wish I could help, but that's beyond my expertise. Good luck.
Does anyone know how to align multiple identical tables on one landscape A3 sheet? I have looked everywhere
Hover over the table until the whole-table-grab-handle appears, then drag it to where you want it. You may need to first set TEXT WRAPPING for that table to be "in front" if that's possible. But when you drag, there should be alignment marquee cross-hair lines appear, which should help. Let us know how that works.
I have an issue that I can't seem to fix. I have a one table cell that I have been using to add text to. I scans over two pages. My issue is that I want it to look like one continuous box with out splitting when it moves to the next page I have tried everything but can't seem to fix it. Please help!
In the Table Properties dialog, in the ROWs tab, uncheck the box for "Allow row to break across pages." See if that does the trick for you.
Very interested in this topic but your audio is too low. I have my settings that the highest and I can barely hear you.
Noted! Thanks for the comment. I wish UA-cam would let me replace a video like this with an edited version of the same one. Sadly, I haven't found out how to do that yet. Thanks for the comment.
I tried to insert tables with +-+- didn't work, can u help pls?
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by +-+- ??
Too fast too small. Can find you on tv you tube?
Hi, Desiree - it helps if you will watch on a larger screen. You can also slow any YT video down by clicking on the cogwheel or using a keyboard shortcut. To find any UA-camr by clicking on their icon next to their channel name just below the video. Spend some time learning how to use UA-cam and you'll be much happier. Check out my playlist on that. (click playlists once you're on my channel).
The voice is too low. Unable to hear.
After double checking for myself, and because no one else has reported this, you might want to try turning up the volume on your device.
