The pieces turned out very well. I think you were right about painting the centers. I also like the split screen filming.
Painting the center of the drawers black was the right call. The dressers look so classy and new now.
Personally my favorite piece you’ve ever done. It’s beautiful and has a masculine feel to it.

Painting the drawers all black turned out beautifully! I liked the original idea of having the indented area stained, but then once you painted it, the black really highlighted the gold hardware.
That is what perseverance is. What a teacher you are. You made the right decisions trying then changing. Thank you.

Those pieces look fabulous! That hardware in the depressions makes them pop. A great improvement on a timeless design.
It's really nice to see you back doing the things that made you popular. I get branching out and reaching for the stars, but I mainly watch 3 UA-cam channels. Furniture Flipping Teacher, XO Mecena, and Lone Fox. I do have a very diverse subscription base on UA-cam but I am a little busy to flip through channels. Your work as always great. I understand that you are going through some life changes, but as long as you be you your life will be great and prosperous.

Maybe an idea for next similar piece. Leave the center wood and then trace between black and wood with gold leaf to clean the line.

The dressers turned out beautifully. They are sleek, elegant and formal looking. Not my style but I do appreciate how elegant they turned out. I'm sad that the original idea for the drawers didn't work out because I loved that contrast! I understand that the gold hardware is trendy now but again not my style. I wonder how black hardware would have looked on the bottom drawers for contrast. I hope the set sells for what you listed them for. They are beautiful!!! Thank you so much for sharing all of your hard work. I appreciate your expertise. Even though I am 72 I have seriously been studying the furniture flippers on you tube for their experiences. I have some pieces out in the garage that will be my "tests"! Thanks again!

If i lived anywhere near you I would definitely buy these. They are beautiful! Its the a while since you posted this so I hope you got what you wanted. Definitely worth it.
They look stunning! I recently used gel stain from another well known company. I watched their video and I had a similar experience with the different woods. Again not the gel stain it was the wood. I sanded it down twice and finally adjusted my technique. I was satisfied with my final result. It did surprise me. Keep up the good work!
