Thanks, Eric. I agree on kit choice. I am a firm believer that a newer kit builder should get a good kit to start. Later on, if a person wants to build something more complicated, that's fine, but it can be frustraing to a new builder.
I’m eager to see this build series, Amigo! That kit looks to be the typical newer Tamiya goodness. I hope some day if I get one that there will be decent standing & sitting poses of US Infantry figures available. Nothing against the excellent Soviet infantry that come with it, but I’d prefer to build it in US service with a full crew. I know the Brits and other Allies employed these as well so their crew figures would be good to have available as well.
Thanks, Ben. I prefer to do US stuff as well, but the figures look really good, and I want to see how good they are for assembling and painting, sonce there are some newr Tamiya figure kits I am eyeballing for other projects. Besides, I have completed a Soviet armor project since the '80s!
A nice vehicle what you will tackle as the next model. This time without chain chassis! Will be interesting what you will made out of it. Greetings, Joachim
Love that kit have it just haven't had an inspirational idea for a diorama. Anyway just got turned onto a FANTASTIC idea by Michael Mullner. He paints his small parts black then uses a colored pencil. "in your case" a copper one for ammo. I can't show you his pictures but his Binoculars and uniform badges are absolutely gorgeous. If you want I'll find the name of the pencils he uses. He's in Austria and he's on Facebook if you look him up you won't be disappointed. Anyway really looking forward to your build and some inspiration.😁
I hope to build this as an early Israeli one converted with a turret only i don't have the skills to do it yet ! good luck with the build Brett . Regards Gav.
Not that i am aware of Brett i would use plasticard they would cover the entire back and add a home made turret often mounting an mg 34 i will give it a go its just when . Regards Gav.
Oh I Love how to's. It is always faszinating to see how different people do the same thing and grab what fits to me best. Looking forward to the part of painting the figures. Take care 👍
Thanks, Kev. I think figures are the thing I want to improve on the most right now. They have always been the thing I like to do the least when doing models.
This is an excellent choice for your build. The GRIEF was good, but this is a great choice for beginners like me. Thank you Brett.

Looking forward to this series. Should be good. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks you, Cygnus.

Thanks, Joachim! Sometimes, wheels are quite a bit easier than tracks to be sure!

Thanks, Clayton, and thanks for the tip. I never thought of the pencil thing but it makes perfect sense. I may have to give that a try.
Looks like a heck of a nice kit
It really is, Mark. It is going together in typical Tamiya fashion. At some point I may do another in the US scheme, but with US figures, of course!

Thanks, Gavin! That sounds like it would be an interesting conversion. Does anyone make an aftermarket kit to do that? I bet you could handle it.

Excellent! I shall be watching these for sure. It's a great looking kit. Enjoy!
Thanks, Andrew!
