Chicago Summer 2023 | Road Trip in Tesla Model Y

We made it to Chicago after spending a few days in Clarksville, Tennessee. Clarksville was fun, we got to spent time with family. The weather was perfect and the kids had a great time.
We continued our trip north to Chicago. We drove 397 miles, made two stops to supercharge before arriving in Chicago around 3pm.
We drove straight to Millenium Park, walked around, took pictures and ate some delicious pizza.
After a quick bite, we headed to our hotel. We decided to stay at the ALoft in Downtown Chicago. The location was amazing, just a few block from the Chicago River and tons of restaurants. Once we checked-in, we head up to the room. The room had 2 large windows with an incredible view of the skyline.
After resting for a bit, we headed to the Navy Pier. The garage was easy to find, it had E V charging right by the entrance. It was very convenient.
We headed to the third floor where the kids enjoyed riding the carousel and tea cups. Right after we all took a ride in the Centennial Wheel. We saw some breathtaking views of the Chicago skyline and marina. Definitely a fun time.
The next day we woke up early and had a really good breakfast at Meli Cafe, located just 3 blocks from the hotel. From there we walked to the garage and headed to Field Museum. It was a bit confusing to find the parking garage but we managed. The Field Museum is amazing and extremely informative. The girls really enjoyed it.
Chicago is an amazing city. We love that we can pretty much walk around and explore so much. Milo also had a great time as we walked around. One block from the hotel we saw McDonald’s Giant Modern Chicago Flagship. Two plant walls hang over the dining room with built-in water hoses. For the arboretum in the middle of the restaurant, a ladder drops down so arborists can take care of the plants. Tree specialists developed a proprietary soil to ensure the trees thrive in their urban oasis.
The weather was a bit cool, but pleasant. Later in the evening we to Planta Queen, located on block from the hotel. From there we just pretty much walked around the North River and enjoy the scenery.
So much to do in Chicago, we'll be back. Tomorrow we'll head East to Ohio for the night and then New York City. We'll see you soon!
