Good timing Fabio! I just bought a Zotac 3060 ti that has solved long-time crashing probs in my less demanding games that you were aware of, same exact B550/5600X system, only difference was replacing AMD RX 5700 and AMD drivers. Am using the +100 and +500 settings with no probs, but the voltage adjustment for this card is greyed out/not available even though we don't change that one. Thanks a lot and I do see a difference, will keep playing with it.

Hey thanks man! Very simple and straightforward instructions. I only did a minimal overclock (+100 +500) but it was enough to prevent some stuttering I was experiencing with a particular game. Quite helpful.

I am unable to change anything to do with the fan section, it is all just greyed out. Is this because it is a laptop rtx 3050 or why is this happening? And would it be at all safe to over clock it without changing fan settings?
sometimes in laptop the fan adjust to the gpu, so when you choose performance / max it's getting faster / max rpm

@@agamikhwana8596 Bruh, it's not about the fan speed, it's about the power limit of the GPU. It can't be changed in msi afterburner and this issue is very common.

While tweaking the core/memory clock instead of runing a game every time a value is changed I have running Unigine Heaven in windowed mode at 720p to switch between applications and keep changing values until it crashes. When it's finally stable I run several games to verify the results and make minimal adjustments. This is faster than running a game each time a parameter is changed. Just my 2¢.
That a thing also, but some games are more demanding, most on vram, than unengine valley, but you can use a game in windowed mode as well

i guess i have to ask the dumb question, im running a matching Gigabyte Eagle OC 3050 8gb, can i safely match my settings to yours and be okay? or do things like my cpu have an effect on this as well?
Best game I found to test VRAM overclock was Dark Souls 3. Yep, Dark Souls 3. I often had stable VRAM OC for weeks, then started Dark Souls 3 and lo and behold, I'd get visual errors in the form of bright green "specks" on the ground textures. I'd downclock VRAM a bit and bam, visual errors gone, thereafter there is no game where I saw visual errors or crashes.
Dark Souls 3 is, to my experience, the most sensitive game to VRAM OC. If this game works, all games will work.

i actually have 3050, got it for free so im free to OC it ;) oh, and it has warranty so... hrhrhr, tried and it works even without more power limit, btw this card aint so bad, with dls option on i play most of the games in 1440p with 60 FPS plus after some minor tweaking

Hey man, I stumbled across your video just now and as a noob this was very well explained. Although when regarding games, does it have to be a Triple-A TITLE? Like, let's say I want to test it out with DOTA 2 since it's the fastest game that loads with my HDD. And more importantly, I don't own any Triple-A titles. Also, is it necessary to restart the game when I change values in MSI afterburner? Cause I'm getting an RTX 3050 as a placeholder while I wait for the 4000 series. (Yes I know, a 6600/xt would be a lot better for virtually the same price or even cheaper) but I'm too much of an NVIDIA fangay to switch brands. Thank you and you earned a new sub!
Well, DOTA 2 is a game that will most likely be CPU bottlenecked so it doesn't work. Get a heavy GPU game, doesn't need to be an AAA game

I have an Asus Phoenix RTX 3050 and have been able to OC it +250 and +2500 core clock and memory clock respectively. Overall, 10% boost in performance couple with some tweaks in the control panel, round up to 12%, which is pretty nuts ngl.
For those who wonder what’s the best settings for NVIDIA control panel, just turn everything off/performance except for Anisotropic Filtering (which makes textures look like mud).

Hello! I have no knowledge regarding overclocking. I own a low-range gaming laptop, considering today's standards, due to budget limitations at the time of purchase (was on sale and I needed it for college projects). It's a gaming laptop consisting of a 3050 ti, 4GB, i5-11300H 4.4Ghz, 16GB RAM, and I was looking to squeeze a bit more out of my GPU. I would consider using the first values used within the video and leaving it at that, considering it is a laptop and there might be issues with the cooling of the system overall. Would that be okay to try?

But I still play mainly on the stock settings because the profit in games is small.
Nice, I wouldnt say small. Going from 55 to 62fps can make a lot of difderence in terms of smoothness
Nice vid ! My Zotac 3060ti stock hits 1905 Core / 7000 mem - 200W , I can OC to 2145 MHz / 8000 mem - 220W (all measured with afterburner). I prefer to run it undervolted to get near stock performance @925 MV which uses 170W. 15% power saving for same performance, nice, although I have to jump back to stock setting specifically for heavy RT titles.
What is your temp i thought that the ZOTAC twin edge cooler was really bad?
@@aminbagheri9044 tops out at 81C with the OC on default fan curve and 71 with an undervolt (around 63c whilst gaming).
It's an adequate cooler but it's noisy, rattles at high and low fan speeds. Probably just need to tighten a few screws tbh but I have no interest in possibly voiding the 5yr warranty (micro scratches on screws heads which indicate removal of the cooler.. never dealt with Zotac RMA procedure before) :D

The temp is around 76with a really small oc like 75mhz on core and 200mhz on memory but with power limit on default and man the fan curve is around 75 to 78 and even 80 % and in hot day the temps reach 78 so the card is hot and loud im thinking of selling it amd buying rx6700xt but i dont know waht to do the dlss is really a game changer for me

I would undervolt it and make do for 6 months if I was you, RDNA3 / RTX4000 mid range should be available by then, sure you may be looking at £150 less return when selling the card but possibly getting 6900xt/3090 performance in the same price bracket !

Have you checked the issue we are having with AMD with the error saying "known error with the graphics controllers" and more details saying that our current driver adrenaline is know for having mistakes and to download a driver from February, been trying to solve this but not sure where to download this driver 22.2.2
i have msi gf63 thin rtx 3050 with one fan only and my msi afterburner voltage and temp limit option is disabled by default and i didnt find any way to enable it so still can i use that gpu/memory core clock and power limit settings?? is it harmful?

Well, you should keep checking besides crashes if your improving your frames. Adding more mhz on core or memory doesnt have to mean your improving on frames.

Yes and no because there will be a hard limit on power.. so curve editor will be your best bet
Yes, but as said below, the power restriction will be BIG, so you should undervolt to get higher frequency boosting

In my case (GALAX), when I select the power limit to the maximum (100), the temperature limit goes up to 83°C, but it can be manually set to 90°C. Should I put the maximum too? In fan speed, my minimum goes up to 30%, not 0% like yours. Is that correct?

Asus Phoenix RTX 3050 here. +175 mhz core clock and +1400 mhz memory clock here. Can go higher on memory clock but that degrades performance for some reason and it doesn't really boost performance beyond that point regardless

overclocked my rtx 3050 to 225 core clock and 1300 memory clock.
before overclock i was getting 50 fps in empty places and in crowded 47 fps on red dead 2 after overclock in empty places 58-61 fps, crowded places 55 fps

but favourite oc app for my zotac nvidia gt 730 2gb ddr5 is the nvidia inspector.. it is easy to use, have everything we need in oc.. but even my old 730 can get 3-5 fps mpre from each games..

Thanks for the video I have the Gigabyte Eagle OC. I reached 2250mhz using the Aorus tool. memory I could go to 1750mhz. But it crashed my machine to the point that I had to use the restore feature to access my pc again.

if u want to know ur game stabil just try dota 2 . u can run ok if ur system not configure nice, i try so many game but when i open dota 2 always crash even just small error.. trust me

Yeah Curve Editor is a pain to work with lol doesn't matter your skill level.
I like MSI Kombustor (not actually affiliated with MSI) to do quick stress test for dialing in, run it in a windows so your can OC while it runs.
My Zotac Gaming Edge managed to do +225/1000, tho haven't really tried to find the limit of the VRAM since the gains are minimal anyway. I do however keep my PL at 100% since the last 10% only give about 2% more clockspeed so not worth it for the extra power, heat and noise IMO

I like two demoscene to stability test NV cards:
Hydrokinetics and Zetsubo by Prismbeings
Zetsubo has raytracing, async compute so I like it better than Kombustor as a powervirus load.
