Undervolt your RTX 3050 for more FPS and Lower Temperatures! - Tutorial

- Undervolting really seems to be the best option in terms of GPU optimization for the 3000 series. Be it a 3090, 3080, 3070 or even a 3060 Ti, I’d still recommend doing it. If you do it properly, you’re gonna lose virtually 0 performance or even get an increase, while dramatically reducing heat and power consumption. Today we are featuring a Zotac RTX 3050 TwinEdge dual fan and using an 850W 80 Plus Titanium Seasonic PSU!

This need a million views. My FPS just jump to 150+ but the temp remains at 66° doesn't even touch 70° and I've left it on for about an hour now.

Thank you so much for this! Along with an fps cap, my aging gaming laptop can finally run games at 20°C cooler. I’ve never been a technical person with my gadgets, but your tutorial is super easy to follow! I wish a screen record was used for the video though, but all in all it is such a huge help.
I just want to say thank you. I've been given this GPU last week and during gaming the fan just goes crazy loud. I've tried different fan curves, clean the gpu and put a new thermal paste (I asked a friend I have no idea how to do it). Nothing works. Starting to think the hardware is the problem. Then by the grace of god I found your video. After doing the undervolt I can increase the graphic settings and the temp max around 60-70 on full load. Which means the fan does go apeshit and the performance seems a bit better than before. Thank you so much!

@@ahmedmt4280 I think it's safe. It's my first time doing it too... but just to be on the safe side I manually set it myself on every boot. Just in case something happens. Heh.

Thank you for the tutorial. Finally I got the power and performance balance that I got on the GAINWARD GTX1660S:
- playing Efootball 2024: 0.600mV - 1200Mhz temperature 50-60C with power consumption 40-60W
- playing Dirt Rally 2.0: 0.700mV - 1200Mhz temperature 50-63C with power consumption 40-70W
- with Overclocked CPU at 4.5Ghz i7 3770K RAM 16GB DDR3 1600Mhz

Bruv, I have the same gpu, but I get so much more temps than you, I have already done my airflow good, and put new thermal paste on it but it is not working, in gta v with all on high and capped to 75 fps my temps get at 75 Celsius I don’t know what else to do 😞
Weeeell, I assume you have undervolted as well? You might wanna set it to 800mV and 1700Mhz with no memory offset if you want lower temps, but honestly 75C is not bad!
That's really unfortunate, it's either because of the variant that you got or just a problem in the gpu product itself. I have my Asus dual rtx 3050 oc taht barely reaches 65c when playing warzone at a near 100% utilization, Maybe it just depends on your ambient temperature. If you have an ac in your room, use it, maybe that'll help. But sometimes having a good Tower cpu cooler or any cooler that keeps your cpu cool perfectly also reduces the GPU temperature, mine did ddropped for about 7c when I switched from Wraith stealth to Deepcool tower cooler.

It works for a 3050ti? I have high temperatures with games like dead island 2 and gears 5 (84-87C), and I already changed the thermal paste and set the fans to 100% speed
Thanks, yes I had a huge improvement in temperature but however my fps went from 180 /150 to 120 constant

I did the curve and saved in profile 1 and i set MSI Afterburner to start with windows but after i restart the pc the curve optimizer profile is not applied. I have to manually pres profile1 and set amply after efery pc start. Why?
Sooo, you need to set the curve, save it to profile one, then click on profile one, then hit apply and then set it to start with windows and to start minimized and it will work!

Yes! I’m currently trying to get my hands on a 4070 Ti and a 4080, for the 1080 I actually do have my GTX 1070 UV tutorial that works for every Pascal card!

I have a 3050 palit and i was doing 220 core and 1125 memory , i was curious if i can use the same memory clock with this last undervolt that you show
You can definitely do undervolt & overclock at the same time but you won’t be able to do 220 on the core. Maybe 150 yes. 1125 on the memory absolutely yes!

Enable voltage control and voltage monitoring in Afterburner settings!
it's not UNDERVOLTING but actually OVERVOLTING your gpu, lower clocks for the same voltage

Yes but not necessarily, you could also set it to run at a lower voltage at the max clock speed

This is individual for each card. You can't just copy the preset even if you also have 3050
You a actually can, because I have taken into account silicon variance in % and given out safe values :)
