- The SGC locates a Repository of Knowledge on P3X-439 and when Anubis attacks, O'Neill downloads their knowledge into his brain again. Finally, Bra'tac warns SG-1 that Anubis plans an attack on Earth. Hammond is replaced by Dr. Elizabeth Weir. As Anubis' fleet arrives, SG-1 flies to Proclarush Taonas, a planet with an Ancient outpost and a ZPM. There, SG-1 learns that what they are searching for has been back on Earth the whole time. O'Neill is able to destroy Anubis's fleet using an Ancient weapon buried beneath Antarctica, but the aftermath of the battle reveals a grim situation.

I love watching and re-watching this ^^ It shows the payoff from all that collecting and rebuilding of alien tech throughout the series. The first time the Tauri forces went to-to-toe as equals with the goauld!
WallyWinka agreed, it was really the first time it felt like there was any payoff for all the struggles and sacrifices that they had been through.

When I watch the scene where Prometheus approaches the fight, I always get a lump in my throat.
Same as in “Air Force One” when the rescue flight changes call sign. “Liberty two four, changing call sign, Liberty two four is now Air Force One.”

this video is awesome, i loved this scene in SG1.
I always preferred the Daedalus class cruisers (BC-304) over the Prometheus (X-303). The latter one seemed way to clunky.
Little does the public know that this for the most part really happened.

that was the condensed version...they really over did it with the number of drones when they first introduced them in this episode...in later episodes one or two drones can take out a Replicator made Aurora-class battleship

Yeah, i always just chalked it up to jack not knowing how powerful they were and using too many.
Or knowing how powerful they were, and even when Ancient-overwritten, wanting to see a Really Big Bang. (Besides -- didn't Anubis actually have a 30 ship fleet with him?)
