Your home is looking beautiful. That painter definitely needs to Make sure that all of that paint comes off of your new sidewalks. I get wanting to be thankful for what you have but you all have worked hard to make your home what it is. It is his job to make sure that it stays that way.
I would try sand and a brass brush you use to remove weeds from brickwork pathways.
So I cried when her cried when he was leaving. Then when he starts running yelling daddy I cried again. I was emotional right with him.

Oh my this was such a special video...so many parts to bring a tear. Nolan looked totally amazed at what you were able to discover. Xander, just wee bit excited and telling Nolan, "I love you Daddy" and showing him his name on the window sill, "that spells my name". A joyous evening to be sure. This was so sweet to watch! His reactions were so thankful and full of genuine love for you! I used to work for a designer years ago and I think the colors you chose are beautiful. One small hint you might try is swapping your loveseat and your recliner, putting the recliner in the corner and the loveseat right on the map wall. It will showcase that wooden map better and balance out the walls and windows. Just a thought! Love it all ☺️
I just have to say how truly rare it is that I binge watch videos on UA-cam any more with all the depressing news being spewed out the last year. But, somehow, the video of your farmhouse remodel made it's way to my feed, and I honestly can not stop watching your vlogs!! And, the whole time I'm watching, I have this silly smile plastered on my face!! Haha!! You and Nolan compliment each other so well, and little Xander is just the icing on the cake!! You guys have done an AMAZING job on your remodel.. Your house is truly gorgeous, and obviously filled with so much love. So much work got done in those two weeks! I don't know how a person handles someone who refuses to cooperate like the painter unless you hold back money when the job is done that will cover someone cleaning up his mess. Sad that he didn't cover the stone after he was told what was happening. I would have covered it myself and charged him for the sheets it would mean replacing probably. Your home is going to be like new when this is all done. What a joy! Lots to be grateful for. Not sure Nolan understood the significance of the world map. You may need to explain that more to him. Xander was so presh greeting his Dad and showing him around. Wonder if Nolan feels like he should take a visit to his family more often! Not much left for him to do! Enjoy!!!

This is priceless. Zander is so sweet and I'm sure Nolan is happy to be home. It's always difficult times when "dad" is gone.
Your home looks fabulous and yet, it is a ton of work........a TON. It all looks gorgeous and I can only imagine when it is all complete the emotions you will feel and the weight off of your shoulders. Hopefully the painter will tidy up when he is completed with his work. Usually they do or at least that has been my experience. I hope so. The outside of the home looks absolutely NEW and is going to be a beautiful home. The bones are there and years of living taking a toll......how blessed you are to have such a wonderful place.

Xander is a precious little boy even if he is high strung. My daughter, Gabby, is a lot like him.
I have something to be excited about. I am getting a Cavalier Spaniel puppy in the spring. Some friends of ours already gave my oldest daughter a kitten. He is adjusting nicely to being a housecat. He was a farm cat before. They have over a dozen cats. I am glad that I don't have to take care of that many. Can you imagine the vet bills for their herd of cats? Not to mention the two dogs, pigs, chickens, and a small herd of cattle. It must be enormous.

You mentioned the beam is kinda long.. what about putting some succulents in a macrame holder and attaching it to the extra beam length!? Love the video. Im so frustrated for you about that paint slopped all over your walks.. I groaned out loud! When you spend that kind of money it'd be nice if it would be right for AT LEAST A WEEK! HA !
I don't know if you've got your cupboards all planned out already but my suggestion is to have as many pullouts and deep drawers as you can! I'm wishing I would've went with more drawers!! enjoy your new look!!

Xander's vocabulary and clarity when speaking is very good for his age. Love how he gets so excited to show Nolan (welcome home!) everything done around the home. LOVE everything so far and think the house color looks great with the color of all the doors.

I’m glad the paint splatters aren’t on your carpet!... I had painter walking around with a loaded paint brush dripping... fortunately the carpet was eventually replaced ...but I was very annoyed as he walked round with this dripping brush! You’ve done the greatest job and I’m sure that Nolan will be ripped with all you’ve achieved!
