I think that's so well said! I can truly see she loves Shanghai SO much and I love all of her Shanghai vlogs! (And I think her Paris vlogs are amazing too hahaha)
Nice!! All your China videos are so AWESOME!! You look so alive and happy there. I am going there in November. Lots of great tips in this video for me. Thanks so much!
I will add two more cool places: Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and Century Park. These two places are literally next to each other, so you can visit them both back to back.
As a Chinese,i love shanghai more than Peking and Hong Kong。life in here is convenient for me,work in here also is full of opportunity。Peking is a place to studying something,in college or university。Hong Kong is a great city to trval ,but shanghai is good at everything.
"Beijing" is a Communist nomenclature. Free-thinking Chinese not under its coercive force need not be bound by it. Peking University still calls itself by this name. Cantonese don't call themselves Guangzhounes ... the list goes on. Shanghai got lucky -- it's the same both ways.
@@brianplum1825 Not necessarily. Mandarin was a thing before the CCP took over. Beijing is the mandarin pronunciation. Peking is more culturally nostalgic and thus sometimes appealing due to its connection with the era when the ROC still ran the mainland. (A lot of great literature from that era.)
As a local, all the good spots you mentioned are tourist attraction, few of us will go there often, the best part of my home town are its convenience and various of options.
yes I'm well aware of that, this video is targeted to people who are visiting Shanghai for the first time and they are looking for the top attractions in the city :)
I like like those places! One of my other favorite places is the global harbor shopping centre, next to jinshajiang metro station. In my opinion, this mall is even more impressive than many other malls I've seen in 上海。 And I really like putuo district, because it's a bit more "normal". It's not as noisy as the city center and it feels to be in a small town, when you go through the streets there.
I don't think 15 hours will be enough to see it all, Shanghai is a very big city, check out my guide to 24 hours in Shanghai I think it will be more helpful if you only have very limited time :)
I'm from Hangzhou but I'm still wondering, is it visa free for westerners to travel Shanghai? I know it requires visa for westerners to travel most part of China.
@@KajaKubicka ohh, northern cities in china is also beautiful, you can have a try, also many foreigners working here like shanghai, especially in Dalian, a worm welcome to you for traveling in Dalian😊
Shanghai is a modernised city compared to some others in China. My jam are places with ancient buildings and super deep China history, like in Xi’an. :-)
Been there it's not all you think it is, just get to the right people or have a contact first. Be super careful or make a friend. It's the same for NYC, so there.. good vlog
Jing an I thought u said it rather well , who told u your pronunciation were off? I grew up from that area and I swear half of the foreigners are in xintiandi and the other half are in jingan temple (the area not in the temple). Haha

As a native Chinese who’s lived abroad for almost 30 years, I have to say you’ve sounded more Chinese than me....lol. Good summary!

may be she is a Cantonese....ha ha
Some Shanghainese will do that deliberately to belittle Beijing

I'm visiting Shanghai next week? Is it cold already?
Hi, I'm thinking about going to Shanghai in September. Are there still many tourists during this month? And how often does it rain really?
it shouldn't rain that much I guess, and yes I think there might be still a lot of tourists because the weather is more bearable in September
I have a 15hrs layover in Shanghai in November is it possible to see all that you mentioned and some more
I don't think 15 hours will be enough to see it all, Shanghai is a very big city, check out my guide to 24 hours in Shanghai I think it will be more helpful if you only have very limited time :)
im just like you when i missed a place. i can talk about that place for months after i left it 😂😂😂😂
8:11 WOW! Seeing DAY & NIGHT at the Same Time in #Shanghaitower
Thanks for the tips! Did u use vpn? And what vpn do u recommend? Thank you again.

Yep, we need a visa, except for Hong Kong (Canada)
yes we need a visa if we want to stay in Shanghai longer than 72 hours
还有工作签证呀~
Have you ever been to northern cities in china? For example Harbin or Dalian?😊

shanghai is a spacel place of China, maybe the best
that's why we shanghainee call it capital
Well, when you try pronouncing Jingan Temple, Try like "Jin Anne" :D. I love my hometown I miss it so much....
well i'm sorry for that ;)
Come back!!!!!!! 🛸
Xiang tian di I know this place because my friends live in there
Let it go Honey, Shanghai is in the past OR in the future but right now is Paris so tell me about France. Ciao! Italian, 😝.
we call it MODU, you must know it why now. haha. I'm also a vlogger, shanghainee, welcome to shanghai anytime~
One easy ways to pronounce Jing An right is [dʒiŋ]-[ʌn] and there is NO liaison between these two words.
welcome CHN
你的漢語發音還不錯 :D
大上海那也不是盖的!
还真是一砖一瓦盖起来的呢~~ (挖鼻ing)
You miss a very important place: French concession. It is Shanghai's history.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_French_Concession
I did mention it with Tianzifang :)
There will be a "10 top places you must see in Paris" months later I guess😁
maybe :) but to be honest I know Shanghai much better than Paris
China 🇨🇳 🇨🇳
i guess you love dragon fruit😏
shanghai vs HongKong
Hong Kong is the best ~
@Shangjie Xu 两个地方我都去过,香港无论是公共秩序还是公民素质都很高,所以目前还是中国最好的城市,但是上海更有潜力。
I have been to Shanghai and Hong Kong..... Shanghai always came on top in many aspect ! Ohh Gosh i miss shanghai already 🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳🇨🇳
