Julia was younger. This was made in the early 1980's. She has aged well though. BTW the conventional wisdom indicates that red hair ages one, blond is better.
I have only known Julia Mackenzie as Miss Marple. Being American, I was totally unaware of her other work. She's an extremely talented actress. She has done theatre as well and even was on Broadway here in the States and nominated for a Tony Award. What a sitcom. Just good, brilliant, happy, down to earth comedy. Love it.
you prolly dont give a damn but does any of you know a method to get back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
Ballard Berkeley. He also appeared on an episode of "Are You Being Served?", playing a fishing enthusiast. Funny coincidence, given the fishing theme of the episode. He also played Audrey fforbes-Hamilton's uncle on " To the Manor Born."
I've enjoyed Ballard Berkley's performances in "Are You Being Served?", " To the Manor Born," "Fawlty Towers" and now this, but I wonder, what did he appear in before the mid seventies.
Constantly?? There are bursts of laughter and a couple that had clapping too to show their appreciation. It's a lightweight sitcom,at least it's not canned laughter.
RIP Anton Rodgers
(1933-2007).

Anton Rodger’s was a terrific actor as is Julia McKenzie
So much funnier than most of the drivel on tv today. . Says a lot.. brilliant. . Bring it back. .
Still as relevant and 'fresh' as the day it was filmed one of the best series ever filmed in my opinion.
The scene she feeds the fish in the net with her sandwich is divine!
This series is so cute - thanks so much for sharing!
I think Julia McKenzie looks better with red hair than blonde, it makes her look younger. Love the series. Thanks for the uploads.

charming show, comforting to watch.

Hester gets the biggest smile from her. ❤
Still as funny as ever' even after seeing few times, thats the sign of a great comedy sitcom
I'm back again, also. Such a lovely place to visit from time to time. Sweet and relaxing. PLUS.....marvelous, multi-talented stars!!!
I looked this up because Julia McKenzie is now Miss Marple. These are hilarious! Thanks for posting them.
hope you caught her in "Cranford" too. :-)
When comedy was funny and entertaining not like the garbage we see today and that applies to TV in general.
Thank you for posting this! Love it!
This is a good britcom...cheers 4 posting this.
Unmatched 80's comedy...and compared with the complete sterile rubbish these days.
French fields with these two is a good show with them both in it . this one is French fields is when they both move to France

He says ‘it’s tantamount to sacrilege’.
