I’ve got a walnut brownie brain, And molasses in my veins, Crushed graham cracker crust, my powdered sugar Funnel cake cocaine Let the crescent cookie rise, These carob-covered almond eyes Would rest to see my cashew princess and the Swirling marble sky. And we’ll rest upon the knee Where all divisions cease to be, And root beer float in our banana boat Across the tapioca sea... Where letting all attachments go Is the only prayer we know, May it be so, May it be so, May It Be So. Oh.
When I have seen them live, Aaron will sometimes sing lyrics different from the recorded versions. Does anyone know if he fiddles with the lyrics regularly? Or has he changed words he didn't like to something he sings permanently? For example, does he always sing "insecure bird" now? Or will he change it up and occasionally still sing "proud bird?"
@HoboThatIsHigh this song actually isn't very hard to play. the verse chord progression is Bm-F#m-A-E and the chorus is A-E-D-E ...it's pretty much playing the same chords over and over again. good jam!
@zeppelinman1685 Well, the thing is you said "important", not "improved with each album". I mean, I love mewithoutYou, but there have been a lot of bands that have left a more significant mark than them. It's not really that big of a deal, I guess I was kind of nitpicking, so nevermind...
I'm honestly not trying to be a dick, because I love the band and this song. I get the response I'll get in return is 'That's not what it's about' because he's an amazing lyricist.I just think that after years he might have put a small focus into learning how to sing. As I said, he's practically a story tell because his music is so good along side his words...but It's been years and I could read the lyrics to music if I didn't want to hear them sung. No one agree?
People don't listen to this band because of great vocals, dude. People listen because of how unique aaron's voice is, heck how unique the whole band is.
2020 and we are still jamming this! These are my favorite takes on these songs. “Put it on wax.”? Most fudging definitely.
mewithoutYou forever!

best version !
the insecure bird.. so great
I want to meet them. That's it. Just to sit and talk with such humble, talented musicians.
I think that this is the best version of the song. You can hear the gentleness in his voice, he's changed a lot since the first album.
that chat before the bridge was hilarious. flipping awesome dudes. would love to see them one day
hah, love aaron's face at 2.20; acting like the bird
This video is such a treat!
Just beautiful.
Nothing will match the pure rawness of this version. Amazing.

"put it on wax"... yeah I'd buy a vinyl of mwy playing outdoors like this.
best band ever, I love them!
Gonna cover this song someday
Looking at the dislike it seems as if the crow must have seen this video...
Mark my words, UA-cam:
If i can do one thing in my life, I would see them live, and meet Aaron.
I want to see them perform sooooo bad xD
did it happen yet?
@@KidASquared if it didn't happen they should lie and say they did anyway. Need this rn
Hope you did. I didn't have that privilege.

I would love to be able to own this session of songs on DVD....
I MUST learn this song. Period.
Did you ever learn this song
@@mikethomas2191 I did actually. Lol
@@HoboThatIsHigh yesssssss 💪🏻
I need that Filson cap. Can't find it anywhere.
I came here to say exactly that.
Jesus bless you
This album weirded me out, but watching this makes me realize how awesome that album was, especially considering where they came from.
@JakeZawmby I agree haha. Makes me wish sometimes he put out instrumental versions of all of the music. Itd sound great
Why doesn't this happen in the parks near my house?
oh my god this is around my house!
@zeppelinman1685 Ugh, just remembered there's six guys in Radiohead, but you get my point.

@zeppelinman1685 Radiohead says hi.

Nah dude you just lost your right to be a mewithoutyou fan.
consider yourself unfanned.
You obviously still do not understand aaron, nor mewithoutYou.

I will say, i think the record version is much better.
