That skull inside Godzilla's tail clearly resembles a half a human skull. I have also heard theories that this Goro Maki guy might have commit suicide by deliberately letting himself be absorbed by the larval Godzilla, so that leads me to believe that that skull is what remains of Goro Maki.

Im pretty sure Shin Godzilla is a modernize take on the 54 Godzilla. Im pretty sure I read that some where. Also I would like to say that at the tip of his tail that is a face all be it a incomplete face its still a face. Even in the movie there is a quick scene where its jaw moves. Shin being a creature based out of evolution there were a few moments when Shin got a good look at humans. What better way to beat a human than to become a human so this is where the idea splits. So Shin was making Godzilla Human Hybrids out of his own body and eventually there would have been nothing left of the hulking Godzilla we knew or Shin was making familiars similar to how vampires make familiars with the exception he isnt converting other living organisms. Also in the Familiars theory I would like to say that Shin would be almost like a Queen/King with the hybrids doing his/her bidding.

Im pretty sure Shin is based off of the 54 Godzilla but they wanted something original as well. They share similar builds. They both have odd eyes. Both arms and hands arent very functional. The two Godzilla idea was considered in a aborted movie in after the Tokyo S.O.S. In the end where a unknown laboratory had Godzilla's DNA and seem to be brewing a clone of the Big G himself. However the Godzilla vs. Godzilla flick was expelled for Final Wars! Now is Shin Godzilla 2 will carry that plot line. Japan is totally fucked as the JDF has no weapons to counter Godzilla let alone two and its symbiots.

Actually the idea for a Godzilla vs Godzilla movie was already a thing when he fought SpaceGodzilla. Toho wanted to follow up with Godzilla 98 fighting the spirit/ revived Godzilla 54 with the 98 one being killed. They didn't go with it of course, and we had Destoroyah instead.
TheRadBread the Space Godzilla was a excellent idea and monster too but the plot and movie was poorly executed and as a result it was considered one of the worse 90s Godzilla movie within the series. The 96 vs. 54 sounded too cliché if not ridiculous as almost a ghost movie so they had to abandoned that one as they did not want to do another G vs. G movie and they stuck with Destroyah which is a much better movie and concept. The very weapon that helped is kill Godzilla in 1954 is now coming to bite us hard in the ass and Godzilla is going through melt down too! However in 2006 they would finally do G vs. G and we it would make some sense with Man being both ignorant and idiotic in cloning a abomination and let it loose with the same abomination again saving the world unintentionally! That would be much better then the dreadful Final Wars!
Addressing the secondary face at the end of the tail, the art book confirms, both in images as well as interviews, that it is indeed a second head. The initial concept had a secondary Godzillas sprouting out from the main body like a tumor of some sort. Hence the images of Godzilla with two heads. The face at the end of the tail is a remnant of that idea, placing the face onto Godzilla's tail instead of his main body. There is some concept art in the book where the face at the end of the tail was designed to look more like a Godzilla head. As for the Godzillamorphs. They are listed as the 5th form in the book and were initially designed to look like giant, androgynous humans with dorsal fins that emanated wings to give them an angelic appearance. The versions we got in the final film are clearly far more gruesome than that, with only a hint of the dorsal fins looking like wings based on their placement. Currently trying to work on translating what I can from the book for more explanations for these things.
I believe the things coming out of the tail were miniature godzilla spawn type creatures [Sorta like how Clover had tiny creatures running around New York killing humans in the streets tunnels etc] That would sprout wings and fly to other parts of the world to begin taking over earth. Its said in the movie that this would happen and how Godzilla plans to propagate after they studied a chunk of godzillas flesh that got blown off from the USA bombers. Towards the end of the movie while godzilla was in danger it was just happening super fast as a defense mechanism like to make sure godzilla would live on somehow. I think this mini theory of mine is correct and true and is actually whats going on. Also, i think it would be cool that these zilla spawns would eventually turn into the other monsters like rodan bagon gigan etc... but idk how that can be explained to be believeable and make sense so w/e.

for splitting apart, its possible that there will only be one godzilla (two is possible as well) but honestly depending on how much energy and time has been accumulated or been passed, there can only be 1-3 godzillas. Two from the body, and the third secret and surprise from an escapee godzilla from the tail. The 'normal' route is to have godzilla come out of its shell similar to a metamorphosis The 2nd way is to have two godzillas while the original body will take a while to recover after the new body comes out The 3rd theory that we can take is an escaped (at Least one escapee) godzlila from tail that will show up much later in the story.

These are all very early concepts for Shin Godzilla that were discarded for various reasons before the movie was finalized. They are *not* concepts for Shin Godzilla 2 or whatever the sequel will be called. I like to believe shin Gojira is incomplete and is still evolving and will turn into a "complete" Godzilla, looking more like the Godzilla we all know and love.

The entire tail tip split and resulting in a new creature reminds me of how some parasitic worms reproduce, no need of a mate, just having segments of the end of its long body filled with eggs breaking off. And even in one concept art there's a scene where Godzilla seems to be doing something similar to mitosis. I'm definetly loving the direction they're going with this new Godzilla.
Very interesting video. I cant help but wonder if Hideaki Anno used elements of Neon Genesis Evangelion when he made this movie. I've noticed that some ideas in this film are rather similar to ideas from Evangelion. For example the humanoid skeletal figures on the end of Godzilla's tail. It reminds me of Lilith The Second Angel from Evangelion. If you've seen Evangelion as much as I have you've probably noticed that the lower half of Lilith's body has what appear human legs growing out of her. Also, some of these concept designs of the skeletal figures growing out of Godzilla look somewhat like the head of an EVA without armor.

I think I would be cool if the tail tip fell off and all of the little humanoids climbed out and after the tail tip starts to evolve into a new Godzilla but forms a skeleton first being weak until the full evolution is completed so the little humanoids protect the evolving Godzilla and the frozen Godzilla until they are both ready to defend them selves. After the new Godzilla has finished forming its body (that looks little a more traditional being a heisei and 54 type of design which also gives an excuse to use the heisei roars) the new Godzilla protects the frozen Godzilla and destroys what's left of Tokyo until the other Godzilla has enough energy and heat to move again
The tail was another Godzilla head, he was dividing like a cell that's why he was such a threat in this movie. The pieces blown off of him were healing and would grow into another separate Godzilla if left alone that's why everyone was shitting themselves when they realized he could destroy all of humanity. The things growing out of him are clearly some kind of new evolution and multiplication in reaction to the attacks against him.
I know I am WAY late, but Shin 2 isn’t out yet (and I’m not saying it will sadly, but there is still hope). So I want to theorize too. I have a scenario for Shin Gojira 2 that goes like this: 2 years after Gojiras reign of terror, Shin has become a tourist attraction, all is well, but suddenly the tail creatures awaken. They start to hunt down humans as a pack, and the military does something that awakens Shin and the tail. The tail splits off shin and starts mutating into a monster that never made the cut in old movies, a fleshy, disgusting monster that absorbs any biological matter to grow stronger… Deathla. Godzilla would evolve into a more traditional and more equipped melee form and fights Deathla. And I would set up Biollante for Shin 3
Building on your speculation, what seems more logical to me is that some terrifying human-Godzilla hybrid abomination drops out of Godzilla's tail and fights with Godzilla for dominance. It would introduce the whole monster fight element to Shin Gojira in keeping with the new series' tone. I'm also suspecting that the "God Warrior Destroys Tokyo" short might be a bit of a reference point in terms of what they might do with the hybrid, in looks and powers.
That two Godzilla idea would be sweet. Smarter, more streamlined, all in all healthier Godzilla rampaging with the screwed up, heavily mutated Shin Godzilla parent. Quick question, do you think that the the new Godzilla birthed from the tail would have all of the abilities of the messed up parent, such as the dorsal beams and tail beam?
D man enjoying your videos. What I would like to see in the next Godzilla, is this. What would happen if another Godzilla appears, from nature, awaken by the A bomb, comes to Japan to destroy this Godzilla. In other words, from a speech from Godzilla 2014. Nature has a way to restore balance.
The mouth inside of a mouth imagery made me take it further and wonder if there's a third mouth eventually and the tail splits into 3 before finally separating itself from Godzilla and evolving into Ghidorah.

Creatures off the tail are definitely around 20-25 feet tall. I expect Godzilla to continue evolving after growing out of his tail. I really don't know if the humanoid creatures will come off and do stuff though.
The scariest thing about this Godzilla is the fact that the form he takes before the end isn't even his final form, in 2 weeks he could've evolved 20 times, looked radically different and been 100 times more lethal.
Know what would be cool? If we had the classic Godzilla burst out and then both Gojis fight over territory or something. Either way, we're gonna need a bigger Mechagodzilla.

But it's malformed Because when the photon laser that come from the dorsal plates started straight from straight line of photon to straight line of photon, but with the tail, its beam started from a fire beam concentrating to an atomic breath! my theory is that while Godzilla is frozen, the mutations from his tail will come out from his body and scatter to search for food or radiation and by the time Godzilla becomes unfrozen these creatures will have already mutated into massive monsters that Godzilla must defeat. I think this would be an epic way to tie in other monsters to see some kaiju vs kaiju action. The could even make these creatures resemble Godzilla's past enemies like Rodan , Anguirus or even multiple of them can join together to form some sort of Ghidorah look a like.
Seems to me that if they choose to continue this series using this new origin for Big G that the other kaiju Godzilla would end up fighting are all spawned from shin gojira. Godzilla evolves through osmosis throughout Shin Gojira thus the "offspring" molting from his tail may grow into different looking monsters depending on what obstacles they encounter while maturing. Godzilla may evolve into a more standard-looking Godzilla losing the ability to reproduce via cell division as a defense mechanism due to his children becoming threats to his survival. That way you get a lot of unique monsters or "shin" versions of classic Godzilla villains in a way that fits with this take on the series and eliminates the need to introduce aliens. It is also a viable way to further differentiate this series from the current American Godzilla universe.
I think the creatures growing on the back are baby Godzillas. They all have their own spikes and tail, and maybe Godzilla was reproducing on it's own. This could set up for a more horror movie sequel where not only do people have to be afraid of Godzilla, but also the babies. And with the tail and the lack of eyes, it actually reminds me of the xenomorphs. I have to say this would be an interesting direction to take Godzilla.

What if, like you said, the humanoid creatures defend Godzilla's frozen body until he's ready to mutate, and then, when he awakens, a new (and more traditional) Godzilla starts forming and eventually splits off from him? Perhaps the original becomes a husk and "dies" in the process, or we simply have two of them for the remainder of the film. Perhaps also, the humanoids will eventually grow to become just as large as the original Godzilla?
dude you forget, in one of the old godzilla movies (not sure which one, maybe millenium series) the scientist discovered that godzilla's brain is in his tail. Now the question is did they follow with the same concept in this godzilla movie
You know something D man 1954? If that concept is not used in the sequel to Shin Gojira, I may use that type of concept in a future fanfic. Also, even though I would love to see a modernized G54, I would want to see a modernized Heisei Godzilla even more.
Hmmm i actually kinda like your theory on how the second movie would play out. There are so many ways the next movie could play out, concerning that we have four main things that could kickstart the next evolution. We have the chunks that fell off during the bombing, the humanoids sprouting from the tail, the main facial structure that accompanies them, and lastly Godzilla himself if reawakened. Maybe the efforts to stop Godzilla's mutation will involve the world governments coming together again while their military fights off the humanoid beings advancement. Heck, international scientists could take samples from the chunks or tail, bring them back under coolant suppression systems to their own country and accidentally kick off the second evolution in a major part of the world like the U.S. We really don't know what will happen until a sequel comes if at all. That ending set some pretty high expectations for a continuation of the story.
this is cool stuff! based on the information here is my idea: Godzilla thaws out and the mini creatures emerge from the tail and act similar to the parasites from Cloverfield. Godzilla begins to move, the tail falls off in the process, but quickly grows another less scared tail. the military would go after the creatures and Godzilla. meanwhile as scientists examine the broken off tail, it slowly grows into a more traditional looking Godzilla(still looking scary) and slowly walks away. the scientists warn the military and they attack it as well. but eventually the other Godzilla encounters Shin Godzilla and begin to fight. At first the new Godzilla has the upper hand, but Shin Goji fires his beam and summons the creatures and they all crawl over him biting and clawing him(similar to the smaller destroyers attacking Godzilla). several choppers help the second Godzilla by shooting down the creatures. They succeed and Godzilla shakes a few more off but is badly scared. Second Godzilla then roars, charging at Shin Godzilla. Shin Godzilla bits the Second Godzilla's head to eat him. But Second Godzilla unleashes a full blast of his atomic breath into Shin Godzilla from the inside blowing him up like Orga. The remains get absorbed into the Second Godzilla healing his wounds, roars victorious, and walks to the ocean swimming away. I know that was a lot but what did u think?

I think it'd be cool to see Shin's tail fall off and evolve into a 2nd Godzilla. Then, towards the end of the movie, we could see them fight. I'd find it cool to see an older style Godzilla vs the newer style.
I am hoping we don't see two different Godzillas in the next movie. I would like to see Godzilla fight a different kaiju(s). In regards to the spawning and cloning idea, I think it would be cool, if some of the other classic Kaijus such as Rodan, Baragon, Anguirus, Varan and King Ghidorah spawned or cloned from Shin Godzilla. This would easily explain where all these other kanjus came from. Also it would give a direct link and relationship to Shin Godzilla. Also the kanjus I listed above are all reptilian, so it would make sense for them to spawn from Shin Godzilla.
Just a thought, but what if the tail was their way of setting up king ghidorah for future films. It would make sense if Godzilla's greatest foe came from him directly in this new series. And the other monsters evolve from the dorsal fin that the military found.
It could be the fact that you were stating. I personally believe it could be two things. Shin Godzilla is constantly evolving so it's likely his body is trying to survive to being on land and he is constantly cloning himself. The second thing I think of for the humanoid things on his tail could be the bodies of people Godzilla consumed in his first form. Ideally the people became a part of his dna. Shin Gojira is essentially a walking survival atomic breathing baddass.

The 96 vs. 54 sounded too cliché if not ridiculous as almost a ghost movie so they had to abandoned that one as they did not want to do another G vs. G movie and they stuck with Destroyah which is a much better movie and concept. The very weapon that helped is kill Godzilla in 1954 is now coming to bite us hard in the ass and Godzilla is going through melt down too!
However in 2006 they would finally do G vs. G and we it would make some sense with Man being both ignorant and idiotic in cloning a abomination and let it loose with the same abomination again saving the world unintentionally!
That would be much better then the dreadful Final Wars!
Addressing the secondary face at the end of the tail, the art book confirms, both in images as well as interviews, that it is indeed a second head. The initial concept had a secondary Godzillas sprouting out from the main body like a tumor of some sort. Hence the images of Godzilla with two heads. The face at the end of the tail is a remnant of that idea, placing the face onto Godzilla's tail instead of his main body. There is some concept art in the book where the face at the end of the tail was designed to look more like a Godzilla head.
As for the Godzillamorphs. They are listed as the 5th form in the book and were initially designed to look like giant, androgynous humans with dorsal fins that emanated wings to give them an angelic appearance. The versions we got in the final film are clearly far more gruesome than that, with only a hint of the dorsal fins looking like wings based on their placement. Currently trying to work on translating what I can from the book for more explanations for these things.

I believe the things coming out of the tail were miniature godzilla spawn type creatures [Sorta like how Clover had tiny creatures running around New York killing humans in the streets tunnels etc] That would sprout wings and fly to other parts of the world to begin taking over earth. Its said in the movie that this would happen and how Godzilla plans to propagate after they studied a chunk of godzillas flesh that got blown off from the USA bombers. Towards the end of the movie while godzilla was in danger it was just happening super fast as a defense mechanism like to make sure godzilla would live on somehow. I think this mini theory of mine is correct and true and is actually whats going on. Also, i think it would be cool that these zilla spawns would eventually turn into the other monsters like rodan bagon gigan etc... but idk how that can be explained to be believeable and make sense so w/e.

for splitting apart, its possible that there will only be one godzilla (two is possible as well) but honestly depending on how much energy and time has been accumulated or been passed, there can only be 1-3 godzillas. Two from the body, and the third secret and surprise from an escapee godzilla from the tail.
The 'normal' route is to have godzilla come out of its shell similar to a metamorphosis
The 2nd way is to have two godzillas while the original body will take a while to recover after the new body comes out
The 3rd theory that we can take is an escaped (at Least one escapee) godzlila from tail that will show up much later in the story.
I feel like this all has to do with Destroyah. The stuff with evolution.

The art showing "splitting" Godzilla and the Gojiranoids are all from the just released "Art Of Shin Godzilla" coffee table sized book. These are all very early concepts for Shin Godzilla that were discarded for various reasons before the movie was finalized. They are *not* concepts for Shin Godzilla 2 or whatever the sequel will be called.
BTW, the Art Of Shin Godzilla book is *highly* recommended if you're a fan of the movie, you can order it through Amazon Japan shipped airmail to the US for under $100.

I like to believe shin Gojira is incomplete and is still evolving and will turn into a "complete" Godzilla, looking more like the Godzilla we all know and love.
With the Shin Gojira book, it states The Nikkei Science December 2016 issue and Shin Godzilla Generation novel presents an alternative continuity were the fourth form was merely a beginning ("baby") and Godzilla continued to evolve. Future forms and consequences of these were noted, and it was pointed that extinction on the subcellular scale is necessary to defeat Godzilla.

This a new start for Godzilla movies that is really different and new in doing for everyone else to get used to
The entire tail tip split and resulting in a new creature reminds me of how some parasitic worms reproduce, no need of a mate, just having segments of the end of its long body filled with eggs breaking off. And even in one concept art there's a scene where Godzilla seems to be doing something similar to mitosis. I'm definetly loving the direction they're going with this new Godzilla.
Very interesting video. I cant help but wonder if Hideaki Anno used elements of Neon Genesis Evangelion when he made this movie. I've noticed that some ideas in this film are rather similar to ideas from Evangelion. For example the humanoid skeletal figures on the end of Godzilla's tail. It reminds me of Lilith The Second Angel from Evangelion. If you've seen Evangelion as much as I have you've probably noticed that the lower half of Lilith's body has what appear human legs growing out of her. Also, some of these concept designs of the skeletal figures growing out of Godzilla look somewhat like the head of an EVA without armor.

I think I would be cool if the tail tip fell off and all of the little humanoids climbed out and after the tail tip starts to evolve into a new Godzilla but forms a skeleton first being weak until the full evolution is completed so the little humanoids protect the evolving Godzilla and the frozen Godzilla until they are both ready to defend them selves. After the new Godzilla has finished forming its body (that looks little a more traditional being a heisei and 54 type of design which also gives an excuse to use the heisei roars) the new Godzilla protects the frozen Godzilla and destroys what's left of Tokyo until the other Godzilla has enough energy and heat to move again
The tail was another Godzilla head, he was dividing like a cell that's why he was such a threat in this movie. The pieces blown off of him were healing and would grow into another separate Godzilla if left alone that's why everyone was shitting themselves when they realized he could destroy all of humanity. The things growing out of him are clearly some kind of new evolution and multiplication in reaction to the attacks against him.
I know I am WAY late, but Shin 2 isn’t out yet (and I’m not saying it will sadly, but there is still hope). So I want to theorize too.
I have a scenario for Shin Gojira 2 that goes like this: 2 years after Gojiras reign of terror, Shin has become a tourist attraction, all is well, but suddenly the tail creatures awaken. They start to hunt down humans as a pack, and the military does something that awakens Shin and the tail. The tail splits off shin and starts mutating into a monster that never made the cut in old movies, a fleshy, disgusting monster that absorbs any biological matter to grow stronger… Deathla.
Godzilla would evolve into a more traditional and more equipped melee form and fights Deathla. And I would set up Biollante for Shin 3
I like that idea. I think there is a lot of cool stuff there!
Building on your speculation, what seems more logical to me is that some terrifying human-Godzilla hybrid abomination drops out of Godzilla's tail and fights with Godzilla for dominance. It would introduce the whole monster fight element to Shin Gojira in keeping with the new series' tone. I'm also suspecting that the "God Warrior Destroys Tokyo" short might be a bit of a reference point in terms of what they might do with the hybrid, in looks and powers.
That two Godzilla idea would be sweet. Smarter, more streamlined, all in all healthier Godzilla rampaging with the screwed up, heavily mutated Shin Godzilla parent. Quick question, do you think that the the new Godzilla birthed from the tail would have all of the abilities of the messed up parent, such as the dorsal beams and tail beam?

Creatures off the tail are definitely around 20-25 feet tall.

The design looks great
my theory is that while Godzilla is frozen, the mutations from his tail will come out from his body and scatter to search for food or radiation and by the time Godzilla becomes unfrozen these creatures will have already mutated into massive monsters that Godzilla must defeat. I think this would be an epic way to tie in other monsters to see some kaiju vs kaiju action. The could even make these creatures resemble Godzilla's past enemies like Rodan , Anguirus or even multiple of them can join together to form some sort of Ghidorah look a like.
Seems to me that if they choose to continue this series using this new origin for Big G that the other kaiju Godzilla would end up fighting are all spawned from shin gojira. Godzilla evolves through osmosis throughout Shin Gojira thus the "offspring" molting from his tail may grow into different looking monsters depending on what obstacles they encounter while maturing. Godzilla may evolve into a more standard-looking Godzilla losing the ability to reproduce via cell division as a defense mechanism due to his children becoming threats to his survival. That way you get a lot of unique monsters or "shin" versions of classic Godzilla villains in a way that fits with this take on the series and eliminates the need to introduce aliens. It is also a viable way to further differentiate this series from the current American Godzilla universe.
About the cocoon thing at the end of the tail, with the head. Maybe it'll become something like the Mothra Larvae?
I think the creatures growing on the back are baby Godzillas. They all have their own spikes and tail, and maybe Godzilla was reproducing on it's own. This could set up for a more horror movie sequel where not only do people have to be afraid of Godzilla, but also the babies. And with the tail and the lack of eyes, it actually reminds me of the xenomorphs. I have to say this would be an interesting direction to take Godzilla.

What if, like you said, the humanoid creatures defend Godzilla's frozen body until he's ready to mutate, and then, when he awakens, a new (and more traditional) Godzilla starts forming and eventually splits off from him? Perhaps the original becomes a husk and "dies" in the process, or we simply have two of them for the remainder of the film. Perhaps also, the humanoids will eventually grow to become just as large as the original Godzilla?

Hmmm i actually kinda like your theory on how the second movie would play out. There are so many ways the next movie could play out, concerning that we have four main things that could kickstart the next evolution. We have the chunks that fell off during the bombing, the humanoids sprouting from the tail, the main facial structure that accompanies them, and lastly Godzilla himself if reawakened.
Maybe the efforts to stop Godzilla's mutation will involve the world governments coming together again while their military fights off the humanoid beings advancement. Heck, international scientists could take samples from the chunks or tail, bring them back under coolant suppression systems to their own country and accidentally kick off the second evolution in a major part of the world like the U.S. We really don't know what will happen until a sequel comes if at all. That ending set some pretty high expectations for a continuation of the story.
this is cool stuff! based on the information here is my idea: Godzilla thaws out and the mini creatures emerge from the tail and act similar to the parasites from Cloverfield. Godzilla begins to move, the tail falls off in the process, but quickly grows another less scared tail. the military would go after the creatures and Godzilla. meanwhile as scientists examine the broken off tail, it slowly grows into a more traditional looking Godzilla(still looking scary) and slowly walks away. the scientists warn the military and they attack it as well. but eventually the other Godzilla encounters Shin Godzilla and begin to fight. At first the new Godzilla has the upper hand, but Shin Goji fires his beam and summons the creatures and they all crawl over him biting and clawing him(similar to the smaller destroyers attacking Godzilla). several choppers help the second Godzilla by shooting down the creatures. They succeed and Godzilla shakes a few more off but is badly scared. Second Godzilla then roars, charging at Shin Godzilla. Shin Godzilla bits the Second Godzilla's head to eat him. But Second Godzilla unleashes a full blast of his atomic breath into Shin Godzilla from the inside blowing him up like Orga. The remains get absorbed into the Second Godzilla healing his wounds, roars victorious, and walks to the ocean swimming away. I know that was a lot but what did u think?

I think it'd be cool to see Shin's tail fall off and evolve into a 2nd Godzilla. Then, towards the end of the movie, we could see them fight. I'd find it cool to see an older style Godzilla vs the newer style.
I am hoping we don't see two different Godzillas in the next movie. I would like to see Godzilla fight a different kaiju(s). In regards to the spawning and cloning idea, I think it would be cool, if some of the other classic Kaijus such as Rodan, Baragon, Anguirus, Varan and King Ghidorah spawned or cloned from Shin Godzilla. This would easily explain where all these other kanjus came from. Also it would give a direct link and relationship to Shin Godzilla. Also the kanjus I listed above are all reptilian, so it would make sense for them to spawn from Shin Godzilla.
Just a thought, but what if the tail was their way of setting up king ghidorah for future films. It would make sense if Godzilla's greatest foe came from him directly in this new series. And the other monsters evolve from the dorsal fin that the military found.
It could be the fact that you were stating. I personally believe it could be two things. Shin Godzilla is constantly evolving so it's likely his body is trying to survive to being on land and he is constantly cloning himself. The second thing I think of for the humanoid things on his tail could be the bodies of people Godzilla consumed in his first form. Ideally the people became a part of his dna. Shin Gojira is essentially a walking survival atomic breathing baddass.
