What a win - win situation for both of you. He is stuck there on his boat without his family, and you are stuck there together without your boat! That is a beautiful boat!
The out stretched welcoming hand giving you another opportunity to change the course of the world. I so need this new adventure of yours. This brings back a day I taught an elderly gent to water ski, the kids that were with me, did not understand the loud yells, broad smile of joy of the elderly gent water skiing. Skiing was taken for granted by the young, an item this guy thought would remain on the bucket list for ever. Life spent on water searching waves to ride and educating people of the power of the sea, what a joy. Be safe, find joy in all that you do.

A man living his best life!!! I can imagine the great adventures he’s had when he has his wife, family and crew friends on board. Great personality too!!! Thank you for introducing us. I look forward to hearing more of his story🖤 great video you two... as always !!! 👌
Mark seems like the type of person that never met an enemy. What an adventurous & interesting life he has - still surfing! Spacious & comfortable, that boat is totally ready for the next owner to just walk onboard. Glad we got to meet him! Best wishes Mark!
What a legend, one of my heroes when I was a kid in South Africa and you couldn't have picked a better skipper. Good luck, fair winds Markie hope to see you soon.
What an adventure! Mark, is amazing, so talented, brave, and he totally enjoys the Ocean! In another life he was a Giant Whale! How kind to rescue and bring you on board his vessel; to see life from a 66' Sailing Yacht! Love all the features and amenities. Super Cool, You both are so Fortunate! You deserve this, for all your good deeds on Fiji!! Thank you for bringing us along!
I agree 100% Trudy! And I can't believe how great of a surfer he is, I was totally blown away by the moves he was making! I think now is the Wrong time to be selling; that boat is a refuge in the world we live in, especially now! And I sure hope he's not planning on going back to live in South Africa with all that's going on there! I wish Mark the best and Jason & Nikki as well of course!
Wow, ya know, you guys know how to find adventure for sure, and bouncing from one situation to the next, is what life is about guys, and you are all doing a beautiful job.!
Mark is one of those people you instantly like. Such a laid-back and personable fellow. He certainly has a beautiful boat. I'm so glad that you are able to spend time on his boat. It must feel good to get back on the water. Thank you for the video.
The boat Mark rebuilt is amazing great job Mark. I could see a family with crew living on this boat and travelling all over the world. I have to ask did you pirate Marks air conditioner? lol Thanks for the tour Mark and best of luck to you and I hope you see your family soon or are with them now. : ) peace
Great guy, very humble. He is a South African big wave surfing pioneer, seasoned commercial fishing skipper/owner, co owner of NEXUS catamarans based in J Bay South Africa, cancer survivor, hence his zest for life now, that actually precipitated the purchase and refit of Spirit of Millennium and the trip so far. His family, along with John Whitmore and a few others like (Peers Pittard, Spider Murphy) were surfing and watersports pioneers in SA , general all round watermen, very experienced and successful commercial chokka (squid) fishermen.
Mark said it; older wider, heavier, bigger surfboard...and a bigger boat. Wonderful. Also from PE, scuba'd the entire coast from Knysna to Port Alfred. Blessings.
You guys have just hooked up with a legend family from South Africa. His brother Johnny used to make all my windsurfers as well as many well-known windsurfers around the world. Johnny and his brother Roger are currently building catamarans in Cape St Francis in South Africa. Just launched a new boat. Check them out Nexus Yachts. His family has a long history of been surfers. My mom used to hang out with John Withmore on Clifton beach. Should I say more?
Yes, Mark has lived a very full life...and it's incredible how many people know his brothers boards and the cat they designed together. Mark is a humble guy, but we'll do our best to hear (and share) some of his stories. Funny you mention wind surfing, Kent from Just Catamarans told us the same story about Johnny building his wind surfers back in the day.
@@gonewiththewynns Mark's family were some of the pioneers who discovered Jeffrey's Bay - ua-cam.com/video/FZfuYd5PxsM/v-deo.html. He's brother Jonathan builds the Balance catamarans in Cape St Francis.
A beautiful expedition class sailing yacht, Millenia. So nice of Mark to invite you to live aboard. I’m certain being back on the water will do wonders for your morale.
What a fabulous turn of events! Captain Mark is a great friend to have! I imagine he is happy t have your company, and you are once again on the water. Cannot wait to see more!
I REALLY like the use of original wood doors, windows, and trim on that boat combined with the white paint. It makes it warm feeling without being dark.
Mark Paarman, co owner of NEXUS catamarans based in J Bay South Africa, pioneer big wave surfer, seasoned commercial fishing skipper/owner, cancer survivor, legend all round South African waterman, and a great, humble man who's stoke for surfing, fishing, life in general is an example for all of us. Feel free to read my comment😃👍👍
An amazing sailing vessel, with a generous, adventurous and humorous South African captain. I was just going to say that this vessel could come in very handy in the event of any needed quick exit strategy from South Africa, when you mentioned that the boat was for sale. Africa, that beautiful, dangerous continent. The very best to Mark and his family, and hoping the Wynns find their way to Tonga soon.
Fantastic video once again...Mark seems to have a fantastic personality. Beautiful craft you have there. Best to all of you. As always Jason and Nikki love you and your hearts for others. Hope you are reunited with Curiosity really really soon!
What a great boat ⛵️ Mark is a legend! When he mentioned the “aqualung” all I could think of was the Jethro Tull song... Aqualung 🎶 hehe I’m showing my age! Glad you you have found a way to have some adventures during these strange times. Hoping you get back to your boat ⛵️ soon!
Thank you for, sharing. What a nice, large boat you are on. Dave seems like a terrific person letting you stay with him. Hope you make it to your boat sometime soon. Enjoy and stay safe.
What a awesome boat. The best one I’ve seen so far hands down the winner! I know he is proud of his boat. I would trust that boat before any of the new ones of any kind of hulls. Just love it! Good job. Blessings.
Brian says senor all the time, but he means the Spanish word señor (Mr.), not senior. Blue uses señor too, and she can speak Spanish (If you had paid attention to how the Delos crew speak, you would know that)
Wow...that is one beautiful ship! Mark should be ever proud of what a fantastic refurb he’s done. You can see the craftsmanship & love put into to it. Can’t wait to see all the adventures unfold on this beauty
Thanks Guys. What a wonderful boat! A lot of old fashioned boat details. Gives it so much personality. So sad it's for sale but someone will buy it and love it to death! Hope you can get to your boat soon but this is a joy to watch. Thanks again. Stay safe.
Fantastic boat, Mark; so rich in charm and perfection. 👍 I'm eager to hear the backstory. I'm sure it's a dandy. Nikki, I can't wait to see you surf. 🏄♀️ Thanks for the boat tour. I'm green with envy.💚

He got 13 knots out of that boat. Pushing it, but wow. Overall, what a fabulous boat! What a fine gentleman skipper, too. It just keeps getting better. Great video, Wynns. What a cool boat! Lucky you guys! One thing I've always noticed about sailing is that opportunities are a lot about being in the right place at the right time. The closer you get to water, to marinas, to sailors etc, the more likely you are to have opportunities come your way. Every boat owner at one time or another is looking for crew to help make a passage or day trip. You don't have to own a boat to plug into the sailing and cruising community. Join a local sailing club. Volunteer to crew for club races. Go to nearby marinas and put your card on a bulletin board. Let the marina owner know that you are available to crew. There is always a boat that needs or can accommodate an extra hand.

Will cruisers be welcomed anywhere the way they were before COVID 19? There are no cases of the virus on either island and they are still locked down.
I was disappointed when I found out it was for sale. I was hoping to be adopted (I am only 58).
Wakeywhodat With any luck the large cruise ships will be scrapped as unsustainable but small boats will always be welcome.
